This is the reason I would never get E100 because every idiot can pen it frontally on the cheeks.
170mm of armour can still be challenge for gold rounds. Depending on the gun of course but not every tier 6 has 250mm of gold pen some even have 150mm of gold pen.

Turret is also weaker compared to the t7 BP!
After going over the armour layout on tanksgg myself, I can tell you that this tank does *not* have the same armour as the BP at tier 7. The turret armour is significantly worse, and only has 152.4mm of protection to the left and right of the gun, compared to the BP having, at a minimum, 260mm.
Remember that the Black Prince originally had the historical 152.4mm on the turret, but they eventually increased it to that 260mm effective because playing the tank was an exercise in pain endurance.
As a newer player, i love my churchill 3, its trained my best russian crews and im very happy to have a british premium churchill to train some crews.

Honestly, this should have told WG to consider reshuffling some of those trees... the Black Prince should have been a tier VI, Tiger should have been tier VI, etc., and they wouldn't need those fictional top-tier guns...

Well, this tank works for me, getting old, my hand speed has slowed, and this tank I can handle, would love an AMX13/57, but I would not be able to play at all well with it. Good review QB.

A fantastic tank, you press "R" and you're ready to go, there's no problem playing with one hand in your pocket or with your smartphone while browsing social media. This tank is a bridge between Arta and a heavy tank.
When I played this tank for the first (and only) time early this morning, I got two kills, #2 in damage, #1 in experience, and a nice game win on Ghost Town. I'm afraid to play it again because my stats in it can only go down :p

How do I buy the advanced part of the 4th Chapter? I dont see a gold option in the ingame store...
This tank does not have the same armor layout as the tier 7 BP, most important being frontal turret armor: the Proto has 152mm and a rim with spaced armor, while the tier7 BP has 240mm, which makes a huge difference.
Believe it or not but this tank is actually in the console version of this game, and I still have it in my garage lol

Black Prince at Tier 7 had the same armor and top speed as the A43, it was buffed a while ago.
Sooo, what Wargaming is actually saying that tanks and their armor are indeed fucked over because gold just flies around everywhere thus they just knock down all tanks down tier so their armor again works as supposed to.
meaning that gold is indeed the problem and that indeed should it be removed.
This things armor only works against the poor newbies who can't afford to/don't know they should spam gold.
Preferential matchmaking would be sick with this 💀
Well considering you get some help with the BP (extra missions) and some other items on top the price isn’t awful.
The Tier VII Black Prince was what finally got me to quit the game back in the day. Trying to fight Tier IXs in that thing after already suffering through two levels of Churchill..
And now they've made a Premium out of it. Strange timeline we're in.

So in the end, it's like a Maus... minus the hit points. if you battle with it and they fire regular rounds then you are almost invincible, but once they fire gold rounds they turn your tank into shredded cheese.
I think this is true for all tanks. No matter how good your tank in certain situations, good players will pen you no matter what.
I have encountered a few of these in battles, and as with most tanks, too many players are just too cowardly to FLANK something so they get a cross fire or porcupine style assault to beat a tank up.. peek-a-boo failures most of the time. I would liked to have seen this tank in actual up tier battles, which most players will see around 95% of the time, so you could see how much it gets eaten/rolled - which is why QB skipped showing that at the start making a limited excuse and only showing it being top tier battle.
I loved flanking in WOT and never use gold but the simple truth is you can't really flank in this game, the maps are basically giant corridors and you're bound to be eradicated by TD's if you try to flank someone since you're lit up like a christmas tree.

Comments like this are always frustrating to read. You really don't need me to show you this tank getting farmed by a BZ-176, it's a given. I could easily cherry pick a game versus T8 where a spam gold (with this tanks nice pen) against distracted tanks. I don't have endless time to make these videos or play under NDA off stream. Come watch the stream on Friday to see gameplay in all scenarios.
@@QuickyBabyTV To me, the fact, you didn't show T8 mm should make it crystal clear to anyone, that you are a fish on dry ground in T8/T7 with this mega slow - low alpha vehicle like so many other T6. F.e. like the mentioned Tiger 131. Fine at it's own tier, hp pináta as low tier. The easily overmatchable roof doesn't help this A43 BP. ^^ There is absolutely no need to waste YT time in a expected unpleasant outclassed t8 match (with some 300-400 dam spg shells coming in).
1000 Gold less and i wouldn't care much and simply buy it, but 4.500 for the beautiful but totally inconsistent tank is too high for my taste. Thanks for this review.

@16:28, WG should consider making a more realistic matchmaking possible for press accounts. Ideally if you can set your MMR (so you could select "normal MMR" or "unicorn MMR"). It’s a disservice if press accounts have new player MMR
I have a lot of gold in my account, I can't cook soup with it 😉.
The tank is historical and has a nice, detailed in-game model. Plus, it's fun in some situations. The price is a bit exaggerated, but I don't regret the purchase.

The only thing the BP prototype has over the Churchill 7 after the buff is more pen and gundep in all other aspects the Churchill 7 is the better choice.

Oh look, a new heavily armored tank rendered irrelevant by easy ammo, it's been a while.
The rear armor of the turret is surprisingly thick thought, you'll be surprised how random it can be to pen this tank from the back, a bit like an O-I.
Just purchased...where is the mission for the 250 Battle Pass Points? What am I missing?
I think this tank can be really good for missions (260 or even 279 E)
Did you watch the same video as me? QB who is truthfully better than average players only got 3K damage once top tier. His armor held up ok, but was too slow to take advantage of it. I feel QB lied in this video and made it out to he good. Churchill style tanks are just useless.

I think WG is releasing all these tier 6 [prems to maybe get some people back into the low tiers (which isnt a bad idea IMO as low tiers in this game are basically dead).

If WG game wants to get me back buying tanks, especially tier 6 tanks, they need to restore tier 6 skirmish play.
i did play 1 battle in this tank 3.7k dmg and still lost becuse a chaffe did cap out base but ace atleast....

Crew Training? They are about to steal skills away. A lifetime developing crews to 7+ skills and Wargaming is about to steal away anything over 6....and compensate us with: (this is where a drum roll is) Training Book! Unless that 'Training Book' trains up a stolen skill to 100 percent, it is theft. Not sure I will be playing when that comes out. I can't count on any further grinding work will be changed once again to make it harder. At least I will save a lot of money! Gonna miss QB and his great reviews and guides.
yes I've been playing 11.5 years but I'm probably going to ditch the game when the new crew system comes in. We don't need it, no one asked for it, and there's so many other things they could have focused on instead to improve the game.

The tier 6 Tiger 131 and the tier 7 Tiger 1 are not the same tank, in reality, the 131 is an early production model and the tier 7 Tiger 1 is a late production model.

Its a pretty good tank on console, essentially exactly the same as the tier 7 but it gets to see tier 5 a lot more

yo, you should try the pz3 J at tier 4 with no gold rounds, its the second tank most players will statistically get and its absolutely disgusting at how bad its regular rounds are, there is 0 justification for it.

This would have to be the biggest waste of time as a special event for battle pass. 25 stages for 1 one crew member..... Or you can invest that time and get 1/2 a tier 6 tank for free.
4500 gold is ridiculous for this tank, the best thing is that if you see this tank on the battlefield, you know the player has more money than sense and it may not be very much.

U stupid? The armor of the OI is not representative for tier 6. For pretty much any other tank at tier 6 you dont need gold. OI is quite the exception.

What's the point? I got the Crocodile for free, why should I spend money on a... bit different Crocodile? (I also got the Tog II* and the FV201 from trade caravan because I am British Tank lover, FV201 is maybe the worst tank in the game and the first tank that needs buffs, but WG is like "hey, let's buff the Turtle!").
We have so many premium British heavy tanks. maybe is time for a second British heavy tank brach that leads to the Chieftain MK.6! Please WG, make the Chieftain available for everyone for free and not just for the Whales!
So... It is basically a Churchill VII/Crocodile with less DPM, less mobility, more pen and removed sponson weakspots behind the tracks.

Honestly I’d like to see a shit matchup when you do these reviews. I know you point out that you’re just gonna get owned but I think we need to see that rather than cherry picking good games
buuuuullshit show us more REAL games like the 3rd one where all (if not most of) the players fire gold see how fun this tank really is
The Crocodile in the Battle Pass was bad enough. Now WG is selling a strait upgrade that makes it even not special? And at the same time makes TOGII look worse? The tank could be $100 for all it matters. How is this a balanced tank? The tech tree and Crocodile at tier 6 has 143mm or whatever pen on AP rounds. This thing gets BP armor and 170mm+ pen AP! The DPM is not even lower. The only thing worse is mobility? Then we have TOGII with less armor and even worse mobility.
If this is balance then WoT is as most says dead. There is no new players that you can recommend this game to. And getting quitters back is as difficult... What about balancing the game and fix issues that have been talked about for over 5 years now. We where promised GOLD ammo to be re-balanced. Instead we got clown cars, tier 11's, tier 8.5 premiums, and HE nerfs.

Compared to the tier 7 black prince you mean ? It is changed ... worse armor, worse dpm, worse top speed + mobility , worse view range. It is not on TOG II levels but iam pretty sure that thing is just getting farmed most of the time.

i would say they did shit job with implementing this tank into the game. it's stupidly underpowered when bottom tier and stupidly overpowered when top tier. tier 6 td struggles to pen it, what will tier 4 tanks do?
thr player who plays this tank feels frustrated, players fighting against feel frustrated. and if the player itself and enemy players both feel frustrated then i would say it's bad job on the tank.
the overall balance just comes from it sucking in half the matches and being amazing in other half of matches.
