Hi Maximus! Yeah the pass there on south is a shitshow... Idon't like to go there no matter my teammates yell at me even with heavy tanks. On the upper part you have opportunities to shoot all sort of directions and also from a long range and while the bottom part clashes tend to stuck in almost stale mate almost every time, those who win the north flank can come and help later on while probably also making a pressure on cap. A good light player/players can make a big differnece too scouting from the central area... that is if those light drivers won't die in first 2 minutes or so:P
"You should be using standard equipment and ammo, as well as no rations! OK, I'll go with the standard equipment and ammo then, with no rations" ...goes into battle with three bond pieces, full gold and rations 🤣 gg
fun-fact: historically the ARL-44 was built at the same time as the T-54... This is a (somewhat) modern tank BUT the french decided to scrap the entire fleet only 2 years after they entered service in 1951. This should tell you how good this tank was.
It was developped during the Vichy regime with whatever was left over of French tankindustry and based upon a ratatouille of pre-war French designs. The tracks for example are just copied from the Char B1. And the development had to be done in secret by the Vichy regime. Development was halted during the full occupation of France. When the design came out, it was already outdated. Taking in account they had production issues and the tank came in service long after the intended date (eventually being classed as tank destroyer and not a heavy tank), it's even a wonder the French let it enter service.
@@bv2623 yes, but also not really. The WWII version was indeed developed in 1944 and 1 prototype was produced but it was found that the 1944 version was already obsolete, leading to a substantial redesign of key aspecs/components of the tank. So the WWII concept can't really be compared to the (limited) production type. Further even if we set the WWII design as a 1st, it's still created at the same time as the T-54, whos 1st prototype was already undergoing testing before the end of the war. The serial production of BOTH tanks started at roughly the same time. Thus it's still right to compare the ARL-44 to the T-54
Came across your channel via the Polish TD tech tree showcase and subscribed soon after that, as while I may not be learning too much on account of my own experience, I respect the high-quality production and entertainment value of your videos. One thing I would recommend going forward for tank reviews is to show off at least three separate performances - one with basic equipment/ammo/consumables, one with an advanced loadout (bounty equipment, 50% gold ammo, food), and one with everything geared to the nines (bond/experimental equipment, full gold, premium consumables). That, I think, would provide the best overall learning experience and ensure that players of any skill level can get something out of the review. Just my two cents, of course - feel free to tell me to fuck off if you prefer the way you're doing things now. Cheers from Canada!
I think it was Honest gaming who pointed out in a video 2 or 3 years ago that, except for pen, the first 90mm gun on the arl 44 is better in every way than the top 90mm, so if you're able to spam full gold, the first 90mm is the way to go. It's really unfortunate that the CDT does not have access to the 105mm gun which would at least make it a trading tank with 330 alpha to counteract the bad armour and terrible reverse speed.
The trick with the armor is poking the front out at an extreme angle and using the protruding tracks to absorb damage or they bounce off the heavily angled front, this tank and the tech tree arl clubs seals since the tracks aren’t a damage box
Regarding optics at tier 5/6, I completely agree. It's almost cheating having full view range in lower tiers, makes practically all tanks feel so much more comfortable to play. I wouldn't say I'm much of a seal clubber, but I do like taking out some tier 5/6's now I play more casually just for a more chilled session.
@@butspan7618 that isn't the point. If you spot an enemy then it gives you and your team information. It makes the enemy realise they are spotted and they might play more conservatively. Sure maybe it's not always THE optimal way to play, and happy to hear the opinion of any 65% gigachads, but as a high 50's% WR player it's the easiest way to gain an upper hand over the enemy who likely won't have full view range. If you can spot the enemy and they can't spot you, you are already at a massive advantage.
In the near future will you make a video about the normal arl44 as well ? ( i understand its the same tank but with a dif gun but my hope is still there)
As long as you remember that you have light tank armor and let it dial in all the way, you'll do just fine with this tank. But, when you have an audience and they expect you to snap shot every tank on the map, you're going to be sadly disappointed.
Good video info and you should set your tank up any way you like.. Everyone has there own personal way of getting the best out of there tank..I don't have the ARL so the CDT will be my first.. Great tips. Thanks. Hope your sister is doing better also.
why are people crying that you are using bonds equip+full gold+ration+maxed crew? it's more enjoyable watching a tank review and see what the beats at it's maximum can do
There is no one in this damn game who doesn't use damn gold ammo??? It is very sad. Gold gold and only gold, what damage you do to the game. Bullying Gamers.
I feel like this tank would have been better if it used the 105 gun, even if they took away the pay to win gold ammo, or even the regular 90mm gun, which has 170 standard pen, but better aim time and DPM yes sure, 212 penetration at tier 6 is overkill as hell, but you sacrifice aim time and DPM for a really outstanding feature that can't really be utilised due to the other features hindering it
i think u messed up, you said that u will be using standard equipment but in the first battle the mod shows that you are using bond equipment, and big consumables with food, and in the second battle u had bounty equ with nearly 50/50 ammo loadout lmao, no offense
@@turboboosted2786 It wasn't a mistake. He is deliberately going with the more aggressive loadout as a passive-aggressive/sarcastic response to all the comments.
It just gets to me that in order for a tank to at least hold it's own it needs all bonded equipment, run food. and spam gold.. yeah, it was free but not free to operate. For us FTP audience, this game is truly set against us.
It's french and has 212 pen > the classic unreliable gun that's on most of the heavy tanks The high pen is there just to ensure a chance of actually being useful when fired, in case it hits the enemy
Your experience of playing with full bond/bounty equipment and premium consumable definitely doesn't feel relevant to my experience as I'm not using any of that.
As many people as possible give a bad review for this video, because look at the game reviews, they're all negative. So to just make another video to just wonder how nice this game is... it's just a joke
LMAOO I love the passive “Fuck off” to the people that complain about your loadouts even though you’ve explained over and over your views on them in the past.
dude, how dare you show us a game with all bond and gold? muhahah, to be honest, i do not see a reason nowadays to play any tank without bounty eq. well, except when you use bounty on some. we have so many of this bounty stuff and i have not upgraded like tens of them, just have no need to. but of course, i do not play different tanks all day long. just like 3-10 games a day and only few at a time.

I love the immediate transition from F2P loadout to full streamer loadout on the first game xD
Full of the bants

It's funny, but lets face it, most people who will play this tank will have F2P loadout and that's why they ask for it.

mabey in most tanks but that tank has no use for coated optics as chances are you're going to miss more shots than hit them tanks to the optics

The video is one day later because Max accidentally used full bond setup in it so he had to record it again.

I work full time but i chose this season to grind for arl tank
Nice redline tonk.
I knew before this video I dont want the tank. I'll play the other 2 thou. Sherman should be nice to play. eh?
Very f2p equipment and consumable setup frfr
Nope this is still not how most of us (cannon fodder) play! I will be using a new crew, no equipment (no money)
I love me a dead-pan joke.
If you wanted a good reverse speed you should be using an Italian tank!
Very unlike the french tanks to reverse slow...

the reload and turret turn is awfully sloppy. you need 4~5 crews at least to make it function properly. its a junk tank.
