I haven’t drove my car for a month and the mechanic’s told me it might be a engine problem or something with the fuel system , so I checked my fuse box and it was a bad etcs fuse #10 and my car is good now.
Mine was a malfunctioning pressure sensor (for ABS) on the brake pedal. Replacing the brake pedal was going to cost $650. While waiting on the part from Toyota, I wondered if after 375,000 miles it’s just stuck. I am always very light on the brakes, after all. So I violently pushed the pedal to the floor one time, fully depressing it. It must have broken something loose, because a few miles later the lights went off and they stayed off. Problem solved!
I have an 05 limited Highlander and this VSC Trac Off and ABS light popped up on my dash. I have tighten my gas cap and reset it. So far hasn't popped up again...
When mine comes it's cause of the gas cap. Take it off clean and sometimes there Temperamental. Every once in awhile after leaving gas station mine will come on. I just take it of and put it back on. Oh and if possible keep your old gas cap. I've bought new ones or generic ones. They never work
I have a 2004 Toyota Highlander Limited and my check engine and vsc are on. The last 2 days my car shimmy's side to side (left right not up and down) and today check engine and vsc lights are on, no blinking. Gas cap is on tight. Any ideas?
No, it will only tell you what the problem is. WEll to be fair, if you just want the check engine light off, it will do that. But it is not fixing the problem.

I am a new owner to an 2007 Highlander Hybrid, and it drives me crazy not knowing what to do I just want to take back to auction where I got it from.
Good video for HL owners. These sensors can be crazy temperamental, I once left off my gas cap & it burned out a coil in just a few miles.

My 4-runner does this all the time. I unhook the battery for a minute and then hook it back up and it goes off

I have a 2001… and the VSC light been on and I have codes for running lean and I replace the o2 sensor around the engine
I have no trac light on though

Replace o2 but still there, maybe i try gas cap next 😢 idk why a new one would fix if current one seems fine

No, it will only tell you what the problem is. WEll to be fair, if you just want the check engine light off, it will do that. But it is not fixing the problem.
