I love listening to sea sounds to zone out. Sometimes a big thunderstorm but mostly sea shore and waves. They certainly work!

Always wipe down my books too Ali with a sanitized wet wipe! Some are really dusty where they’ve been stored I guess! Looking forward to the garden makeover vlog now x

She lives with her mum in Yorkshire and what lovely people they are. Her videos are relaxing and gentle and she has a great relationship with her mum. They are very interesting people, both avid readers and just a joy to watch. Take care x
Just catching up on your vlogs after being away for 4 weeks in the States. I watched Poor Things on the plane coming home. It was quite raunchy in places but couldn't stop watching as the film is intriguing. Not my husband's type of film as it is also a bit gory!

😂 we had pizza tonight . I offered to put zucchini (courgette) on it and my husband was completely opposed. Well, one more Canadian musician to mention for song of the day as she really was phenomenal. Hallelujah sung by KD Lang.

Love your vlogs Ali, we put second hand books in a plastic bag and put them in the freezer for 24 hours, in case there are any bugs!
Interested to know how you go about sanitizing your thrift store books.

I haven't read the book "Poor Things" but have seen the movie which I found quite disturbing and upsetting. Hope the book is less so.
I don't think I want to see the movie 🫣 But the book looks intriguing! x
I start my days in April with a cup of tea, and your new vlog. What will I do with myself in May lol? Thank you for making me feel more normal about my noise anxieties. I live in a terribly noisy, overcrowded street in Australia and it really stresses me out. The worst of it is that last year a group of 5 plovers (protected native birds) moved into my street and they make noise all day and throughout the night calling to each other. They wake me up multiple times a night, and it’s really starting to impact on my health. Google the sounds they make and you’ll understand my problem. They’re officially called Masked Lapwings and they are the bane of my existence.
Goodness that sounds tough to live with, that sound (I googled it!) is grating! Hope you have some decent earplugs. I can really recommend deep brown sound, you can find it on TH-cam, it's a great noise canceller xx

In bed after work relaxing with my book and reading before sleep I have a fire in a fireplace crackling 🔥 very relaxing while reading especially since we are in the beautiful autumn season here 🍁🍂🍁… love it ….📚🍂📚

I love following your journey to work…it’s so beautiful. Regarding your question on “where’s the traffic” I was in a taxi the other day and the driver told me Fridays were very quiet days traffic wise because a lot of people work from home…. So that their weekend starts sooner! I admit, I WFH Fridays but then I catch public transport …. Boring scenery…. Just suburbs…. I’d rather have your views. Take care ❤❤❤

Hope you don't mind a silly question, but is your house warm, do you have your heating on quite a lot. I ask this because I'm always freezing in my house and have to have lots of layers on. I'm very jealous of you in your tee shirts and pyjamas. Also, I guess you are not missing your troublesome fringe, your hair looks so nice now, and suits you xx
There are no calories in books so you can never have too many 😂😂 xx
Would absoloutely love to see how you clean your charity shop books if you get the time! I give mine a quick once over with Dettol spray but never feel like it does enough 😂
That's what I do too! A wipe with anti-bac and then a spray with the leave-on detail spray. Then onto the bookshelf :)

I'm excited to try the library noises when I'm working on Monday. I find music too distracting so often bring up the 8 hour long videos of birds in woods, which is meant for cats. This will be a nice change. Thanks.

Hope you’re up for a spicy read. If the book is as the movie was 😮. I loved the premise of the story, but personally I wish it would have explored some other themes instead of focusing on what it did.
I don't thing I want to see the film but the books looks interesting! I shall keep you updated :)
