I just wanted to comment on 2 things. 1st, the TX22's performance was perfect, as expected. 2nd I really don't understand, based on your tests, why CCI released this ammunition. It doesn't make sense unless they wanted to establish that the ammunition is effective and at the same time less likely to transfix the target (which one might think using the Stinger, but even so, with the Stinger's 13.5" petration it is within standards expected). That Upercutt really is a mystery. By the way, thank you for bring tests that people really want to watch!
They need to keep the jacket, make it fmj, not Hp, up the velocity, then make it bulk packed. As it sits, I don't see the ammo lasting more than a year on market.
Super interesting. I expected much more from the uppercut. That’s twice now. Seems to call into question the few cci sponsored videos out there showing the uppercut expanding in gel.
I have a Ruger 10-22 with a 30rd magazine loaded with stingers for home defense and this is why.... I first used the Stinger a year after it came out. Back in the mid 70's I've camped in the Black Hills with friends while stationed at Ellsworth AFB. I had a Winchester 190 that I often brought along for extra meat at times, usually rabbit. Once, on a riverbank, I tested the Stinger against the MiniMag. I shot twice into the packed mud there, almost clayish. First was the MiniMag. That round put a 2" diameter hole deep into the mud. Then came the Stinger. That round only went about 1-1½" into the mud, but that hole was around 6" in diameter. That clay-like mud flew everywhere getting mud on me, my rifle, a friend that was with me and also my rifle. I understand how the ballistics gel is used to simulate flesh but that mud gave me a lasting impression of the Stinger's potential. My point with the packed mud was that I thought the moisture content in the mud helped to mimic the effects of the Stinger on flesh w/blood a touch more than with the gel, IMO. I no longer own the 190 but I do have a Ruger 10/22 and it's available as one of our home defense arms. It's been my opinion that getting hit with the Stinger would be most likely be non-lethal but the wound would cause such excruciating pain that it would stop an assailant/intruder in their tracks. For that reason I trained my wife to go for the Ruder first, if possible. No kids so there is a round in the chamber but on safe. She trained well to simply push the safety and pull the trigger. Her training mantra is, "Push, pull, pull, pull and keep pulling until he's down and writhing." As far as ballistics gel and the .22, I think it has it's merits but I believe what I saw in that mud, with it's moisture like flesh, gave me more information than the gel in a home defense situation imo. As a side note, back to South Dakota for a minute, we often went shining rabbit in the Black Hills. Once, we stopped where there was a doe on the side of the road ahead of us. From the backseat I got out and rested the 190 across the roof of the car, steadied and took three shots, head-neck-chest. No rabbit that night but we all shared in the venison.
I have loved Stingers for probably 25 years, CCI should give the Uppercut the same velocity as the Stingers, and then they might actually have something. But, as it sits, the Uppercut is pitiful. Great video, brother! 👊😎
I believe the discrepancy lay in the fact that the upper cut is tested out of a short pistol barrel whereas the stinger out of a 16” or longer rifle barrel
Thanks for another excellent test and video. The only .22 LR which expands out of the 4" barrel is the Remington Yellow Jacket, which is no longer available. However the truncated shape of the bullet caused jams in semi-auto pistols so it should only be used in revolvers for self defense. Since none of these bullets expand, its' time to go to Plan B which is to maximize penetration. Any 40 grain RNL bullet will do, as long as it feeds and fires reliably. Two of the best are CCI Mini Mag 40 grain sold and CCI Velocitor 40 grain.
Stingers we’re always my favorite for squirrels, and the reliability seems near 100%, I guess I won’t be searching for uppercuts! But I will be looking for Punch! Never tried them except in center fire.
Punch and stingers...looks like Winchester silver tip is a good option. I've just been put off Winchester since their poor quality control since 2019. I hate to spend $100 on multiple boxes to test reliability, but it looks like they go almost as deep as the punch, but get fragments and expansion.
The best part of this test is your accent!!! I'm a Texan.. I can almost detect which country you are located without looking back... Lot's of friends around your neck of the country... Thanks for the testing! My father just paid almost $10 a small box x 8... I don't have the heart to share your video with him... ;). He's 82 now and had my brother and I loading when we were young kids! He has a nice collection, all the way to .22LR olympic target pisols which makes most anyone look great.. However, out of any calibur.. He has an old Walther PPH that he usually keeps in his pocket... The Stingers have been around for a long time.. The only positive I'm GUESSING with the uppercut, though likely never from the piston, it hopefully would penetrate the scull... Apologies for the long winded response.. What would I pick? Whatever I can shoot accurately and fast...
I’m glad you do videos like this Tools. I’m goin to keep my fmj rounds cause there’s no difference in performing and expanding. Just keep telling it like it is and I’ll be here watching. You and Paul that owns Heavy Metal Guns and Outdoors tells exactly what y’all are getting.
Have you ever thought about putting together a table of the different calibers you tested, and ranking the top 3 or 4 and providing that in a video? Would be super helpful! Thanks Tools!
I see the Uppercut .22 LR is on the store shelves but as of yet I have not bought a box ! From your tests I don’t think it’s worth $5.00 per box more ! My barrel lengths I carry are 4” and 5”1/2” ! Great tests , you covered it well !
Even though the Stinger didn’t expand at least it penetrated pretty good. CCI usually makes my favorite rimfire ammo but the Uppercut fails to impress. Punch all the way, thanks for the jelly test Tools!
30'ish years ago, our testing with a short barreled .22, a Wilkinson Arms Sherry, showed the Stinger to have the most reliability as well as performance. The Mini-Mags were a close second. This was also proven using a Walther PP. Great stuff as usual!!
Very disappointed, I’d watched another TH-camr who acted like the uppercuts we’re screaming fast???? Glad you done the testing cause Facts are Facts!👍🏻
Thanks as always Tools. Another great test of the Rimfire ammo. Time to scrap the uppercut. If you have no choice but to use the 22lr for self defense, just stick with it Federal Punch or go with the stingers. I use the stingers in my 10/22 already. 😊
22lr ammo designed for shorter barrels (that performs) seems to be uncommon. Kinda weird considering how many 22lr pistols are out there. I had high hopes for this ammo as CCI seems to be really good in my experience. Just finished uploading some maximum 50AE loads myself. 2.0 grains under max did not cycle the pistol. We shall see.
This is why I love your videos you can find actual ammo the expands like it’s supposed too. Or if you looking for actual velocities. I ordered the underwood 10mm you tested be use it had the full speed and man we shot them today. Those are awesome. Loudest thing at the indoor range to today and a lot of recoil lol
Hell, the Thunderbolts I've used for plinking for decades would do as well. In our Ruger SR22 we run the Winchester 40 grain hollow points that list at 1435 fps. Might not expand in gel but I'll take the extra fps any day over the turds tested. Thanks Tools.
I've contacted a CCI technical support person about the poor performance of the UpperCut ammunition that I've seen myself. Their feedback was about as useful as a wet bandaid. They won't admit that the UpperCut offering was released lacking perfection. They got my money only once for the box of UpperCut disappointment.
Glock 44... Fail to feed with the uppercut on 2 of 10 rounds in 4 different mags! Failed to feed twice on 2 of 4 mags in my tx22! My tx22 eats every other 22lr and performs well! No issues with the uppercut in my tx22 compact. Gonna have to stick with the Punch in my ccw tx22 compact. My opinion based on the Glock 44 / tx22 is that the uppercut just doesn't have the ooommpf needed to get a good cycle.
I have always put the Stinger into short-barreled pistols, it does work wonderfully. This is the first time I have ever seen either one of those two rounds and I've only seen the uppercut a couple of times, that it didn't open up. And I've never seen the Stinger fail to open up. With a caveat. When you shoot the stinger, and you loaded into the firearm take a ballpoint pen and open that hollow point up just a little bit more. It will still feed fine, and will help it open up better. I would also like to see what that uppercut does out of something like a 4 and 5/8 inch or a 5 1/2 inch or longer Wrangler or even a 4 1/2 to 6 in semi-auto. That will probably wake up that uppercut. It probably needs somewhere close to 1150 to 1200 to open. Something else you may want to try. Either treat the barrel or spray that uppercut ammo with some dry Teflon spray lube at fire about a dozen or more rounds through the firearm to get some Teflon into the Barrel. It will reduce friction, I used to do that to my 3:57, I did it about three times before I took it to the range and fired a lot of 357 ammo, and it went from getting so hot that you could barely handle the cylinder to reload it. To being getting just a little bit warm. It works and it works wonderfully. Both the cylinder and the barrel were considerably cooler after shooting a box of relatively hot ammo with up to 21 and a half grams of h110 behind a 125 grain Hollow point, pushing the round out at over 1400 ft per second, probably getting it close to 1500
... if CCI wants a winner , they should put the upper cut slug into the stinger load ... Back when the stinger was introduced in the mid 70s ... the bullet was dramatically better than what they are today. The old stinger had a 5 sided hollow point they called the pentapoint... today they just look like any other hollow point.
Brian, per your video the Uppercut is surely not up to the hype. I had high hopes that the full size Taurus TX22 would turn the performance around from the LCPII. Very disappointed in the results. I do hope CCI will see your testing and get this fixed fast to reaffirm their credibility. Much appreciate your hard work in performing these tests, and please know we never miss a video!
I carry the CCI Quik Shock .22 LR from time to time and have for close to 15-16 years ! It’s a bullet that is Segmented and breaks into 3-4 pieces upon impact! Test a few into your Gel block , I’d sure like to see the results of that one !
I think it’s worth noting… the base of the Stinger was visibly more “squeezed” by the barrel than the Uppercut. The base measurements corroborate that the Stinger base is a fraction wider (tighter squeeze thru barrel = greater pressure). The issue with Uppercut may be its base size equaling lower pressure.
BINGO! I said above: "BUT: Why does the Uppercut projectile always measure undersize in diameter? Are you measuring the middle band where the rifling contacts, or the smaller(?) band at the base of the bullet? If you're measuring the "fat" part, MAYBE they're allowing gas to leak past, losing velocity?"
I agree uppercut knocked out by stinger marketing hype kinda tricked us with being jacketed and the picture of a pretty flower looking like a gold dot or hst I would love to see what they do out of your charger 10/22and 10/22 rifle 👍👍
Good test! Thanks. I can save my money on the uppercuts, and already have plenty of boxes of stingers on hand. I have some segmented stingers as well. I think they would make one heck of a self-defense bullet for stopping power.
Good information. I had had hopes for the uppercut but it is consistent in not living up to its hype. I know the Punch out preforms the Stinger in testing but I can remember when the Stinger was a new round. So if I were to slip a pistol into pocket for carry it would probably be loaded with. Stingers. Thanks again for the comparisons.
CCI already has one of the premier 22lr rounds in the world with the stinger. They need to leave well enough alone. When they, not only cci but other ammo makers as well. drift away from a round with a proven track record such as the stinger and comes up with a flop like the uppercut they soil an otherwise stellar reputation. If it aint broke don't fix it
I really wish other tubers were honest about the outcome of their tests. Instead they are biased for one reason or another. I seen other tests of this ammo where it did wonderful, perfect little flowers out of the same TX 22 now I'm not gonna mention any names it's any easy search. But what I'd like to know is what they really used to get them to open up all nice & perfect like that, don't hide that info be honest, but that might not sell well if you are sponsored by CCI. Have a good one brother see you on the next one.
Time for Upper Cut to throw in the towell. Even if you say ok forgive the expansion if your going to carry a 22 why would you want something delivering 30+ Ft/lbs. of energy less. I am glad they sold out fast and you got your videos out. It will save us a lot from not buying the weak cut.
Thank you for the video. The comparison of those .22 LRs helps when buying CCI ammo. You can get option paralysis deciding which ammo to by as there's just so much to choose from.
I do want to mention one thing with those Stingers. Some .22LR firearm manufacturers do not recommend using them due to a slightly different case length than a normal .22LR. I have a Ruger 10/22 Tactical that states clearly in the owners manual to not use them. It can hold the bolt open slightly and cause issues or damage the firing pin. Besides that, definitely sad both rounds didn't perform; CCI is usually good stuff but this shows otherwise.
Funny, I have exclusively used Stingers in all of my 10/22 since they came on the market! I have 10/22 rifles with 10,000+ rounds of stingers through them with zero "so called damage"! lmfao
I bought some of this and shot it, the one thing I found really quite surprisingly is how clean my gun was after. It was as dirty as shooting centerfire ammo really.
Stingers have the power (for 22lr anyway), they just don't have accuracy. If in close, no problem. If shooting through a rifle at any kind of distance, its sketchy. Good stuff for up close.
Depends on the gun. I shoot Stingers through a Marlin model 25 bolt action and they group well even at 100 yards with the cheap little scope I have on it.
Other .22 slugs are copper or brass washed. the stinger is copper electroplated and is considered jacketed. As are many 9mm rounds now such as the blazer brass and Fiocchi.
The fact that stinger wasn't designed to expand at shorter barrels actually plays a little bit of an advantage. For 22LR, where power is limited, you want penetration the most. The stinger not expanding actually improves its penetration
Well….. it seems like the Uppercut is more like a sucker punch. It actually met the velocity this time and still nothing. Glad I didn’t buy any yet. lol. You saved me money again good sir. Looks like Federal Punch will stay the champ for a while. 👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
Good test Tools. Can't figure out why some test are looking really good for the UpperCut while others show it to be total failure. I do know I trust your test and the results. That's 2 failed test for the UpperCut. Be vigilant and always be safe my friend.
I really wanted the uppercut to do well. The first time I heard of it, I thought the Punch would have some competition, but NO. Hopefully, they'll see tests like this and improve it to do what it's supposed to do.
The case, powder charge, and bullet weights are supposedly the same between the two, it’s basically just a stinger with a true copper jacket. I believe the uppercut is slower due to just being a jacketed round. Copper is much harder and more difficult to deform than lead so a lot of the energy is lost due to friction as it pushes through the rifling. Copper plating is so thin on the plated bullets that we don’t see any difference in velocity between plated and solid lead bullets.
Man I wonder why every time 22plinkster shot these uppercuts in his review they had that beautiful flower pedal expansion …those uppercuts seem very inconsistent…oh well thanks for the vid 👍
Well, they sponsor 22plinkster. I’m sure they had to figure out a way to make them expand. I suspect some trickery. We all know that Tools ain’t gonna be shady.
I've been waiting to see the uper uppercut in my local shops because I was excited to try it out. Unfortunately it seems like my money would be better spent on something else. Thanks for the informative video....
That Uppercut has humiliated itself once again, but that Stinger is really good stuff, even out of a pistol. It should be good for all your rimfire needs.
Also, very disappointed in the uppercut. I was hoping it would pan out. Guess not always been a fan of CCI stingers have been for many years. Use them for self-defense in my little 22 pistols. Guess I will stick with them.😊
If I remember correctly you tested stinger vs punch out of rifles, I think we need to see them from a handgun, to get a better comparison, too bad about them uppercut though, the only thing I see in them is that MAYBE they’ll feed reliably. Great video as always, thanks 👍
Uppercut is going to get knocked out with that performance. I hunted years ago with the CCI MiniMag and they expanded beautifully. Of course that was out of a Marlin Model 57 with a 22" barrel, but it might be worth a test.
Just FYI Grizzly has 2 10 mm rounds, 180 and 200 .200 stated 1250 fps and chroned at 1287 ( rounds) .Not sure on the 180 states 1350 and the way Grizzly runs it's probably hotter .Good on ya 😊
Another channel got pretty much the same results you got. He then shot it through a rifle got about 1150 fps and they DID expand that that speed - but had cycling problems. CCI needs to recall this crap. It isn't plinking ammo but for "defense".

For that reason I trained my wife to go for the Ruder first, if possible. No kids so there is a round in the chamber but on safe. She trained well to simply push the safety and pull the trigger. Her training mantra is, "Push, pull, pull, pull and keep pulling until he's down and writhing."
As far as ballistics gel and the .22, I think it has it's merits but I believe what I saw in that mud, with it's moisture like flesh, gave me more information than the gel in a home defense situation imo.
You used the wrong gel for this test. Should be using the FBI gel it's not as clear, but it is equal to the actual torso for expansion.
I use aguila super glue Xtra round nose 40 grain
They don't make velocitor anymore.
I like all your videos, you really get down to the different ammunition and specs
Thank you sir.😎👊
Stingers we’re always my favorite for squirrels, and the reliability seems near 100%, I guess I won’t be searching for uppercuts! But I will be looking for Punch! Never tried them except in center fire.
Stingers expand perfectly from rifles.
Appreciate ya. If you put em in the right spot at the right distance, they're still gonna get the job done.😎👊
Man you showed us exactly what we need to know. Thanks man.
😎👊
Thanks for another great video! I love the information I get from your videos. Keep up the great work!!!
Thank you sir.😎👊
Thank you very much for this! Love the Stingers and so does my pistol. Was curious about the Uppercuts and you answered a lot of questions.
😎👊
Have you ever thought about putting together a table of the different calibers you tested, and ranking the top 3 or 4 and providing that in a video? Would be super helpful!
Thanks Tools!
I see the Uppercut .22 LR is on the store shelves but as of yet I have not bought a box ! From your tests I don’t think it’s worth $5.00 per box more !
My barrel lengths I carry are 4” and 5”1/2” !
Great tests , you covered it well !
I remember when CCI came out with the Stringer. Never had a problem with them from short or long barrels.
Even though the Stinger didn’t expand at least it penetrated pretty good. CCI usually makes my favorite rimfire ammo but the Uppercut fails to impress. Punch all the way, thanks for the jelly test Tools!
The uppercut was a major letdown on the subcompact (update: sucks ass on the fullsize too)
Mhmm

Why doesn't CCI load the Uppercut with the same powder/charge as the Stinger?
Surely the Uppercut JHP at Stinger velocities would expand?
I didn't know till now that CCI could make a bad round. Thanks for the test.
30'ish years ago, our testing with a short barreled .22, a Wilkinson Arms Sherry, showed the Stinger to have the most reliability as well as performance.
The Mini-Mags were a close second.
This was also proven using a Walther PP.
Great stuff as usual!!
Wow I'm happy you touched on this
😎👊
That’s what she said 😂
Lol no doubt
Very disappointed, I’d watched another TH-camr who acted like the uppercuts we’re screaming fast???? Glad you done the testing cause Facts are Facts!👍🏻
The low speed is what is killing these things I believe.
22 Plinkster made these seem great, but they're pretty pathetic, honestly. Makes you wonder if these guys are getting paid off.
@@nigeltheoutlawHe's paid to.
Thanks as always Tools. Another great test of the Rimfire ammo. Time to scrap the uppercut. If you have no choice but to use the 22lr for self defense, just stick with it Federal Punch or go with the stingers. I use the stingers in my 10/22 already. 😊
💥🐝💥
Glad you used the TX22 for the test. Thank you.
😎👊
Glad to see these tests, some people genuinely think because something is a hollow point it will ALWAYS expand.
Hell, the Thunderbolts I've used for plinking for decades would do as well. In our Ruger SR22 we run the Winchester 40 grain hollow points that list at 1435 fps. Might not expand in gel but I'll take the extra fps any day over the turds tested. Thanks Tools.
I’m an old school Mini Mag guy. What’s your favorite .22 pistol for small game hunting? Thanks for bringing us this useful information!
It's a shame but doesn't surprise me at all.
Nice series you are doing with this upper cut...Idlove to see uppercut vs Velocitor
Thank you sir.😎👍
The Stinger is what A carry for my .22 hand guns. It's a good round and a Swarm of them is serious
😎👊
Great set of tests! Thanks for doing this so I don’t have to!
😎👊 Thank you sir.
All I use is Stingers in my self defense .22’s. Great video.
I went out looking for Upper Cuts on my day off- didn't find any in stock and now glad I didn't!
Yep. I have a rifle test coming this weekend between Uppercut, Stinger, and another cheap brand.😎👊
BINGO! I said above:
"BUT: Why does the Uppercut projectile always measure undersize in diameter?
Great video. What comes to mind now is, "At what barrel length does, if any, allow the uppercut round to expand?" Also the same for the Stinger...
Most definitive test on the Internet. Awesomeness.
Thank you sir.😎👊
Fun video, thanks. I've been shooting Stingers for years. The original hypervelocity round is still the greatest.
Thank you sir.😎👊
Stinger vs Punch!
😎👊
CCI already has one of the premier 22lr rounds in the world with the stinger. They need to leave well enough alone. When they, not only cci but other ammo makers as well. drift away from a round with a proven track record such as the stinger and comes up with a flop like the uppercut they soil an otherwise stellar reputation. If it aint broke don't fix it
Nice job as usual
Thank you sir.😎👊
The problem is the jacket, it has added additional stiffness that the speed is not overcoming in order to facilitate expansion.
Okay , thanks for investigating further Tools.
im gona thumbs up before i even watch it, i know it gona be good !!
😎👊
I really wish other tubers were honest about the outcome of their tests. Instead they are biased for one reason or another. I seen other tests of this ammo where it did wonderful, perfect little flowers out of the same TX 22 now I'm not gonna mention any names it's any easy search. But what I'd like to know is what they really used to get them to open up all nice & perfect like that, don't hide that info be honest, but that might not sell well if you are sponsored by CCI. Have a good one brother see you on the next one.
Definitely makes me wonder.🤷♂️
Time for Upper Cut to throw in the towell. Even if you say ok forgive the expansion if your going to carry a 22 why would you want something delivering 30+ Ft/lbs. of energy less. I am glad they sold out fast and you got your videos out. It will save us a lot from not buying the weak cut.
I was thinking the same thing. Even if they worked perfect, they are still just so much slower.🤷♂️
Stinger is my go to ammo. Whether rifle or pistol. Only exception is the revolver. I use CCI short.
It took down this new guy easily.
Thank you for the video. The comparison of those .22 LRs helps when buying CCI ammo. You can get option paralysis deciding which ammo to by as there's just so much to choose from.
Great 22 test! I have been thinking of getting a 22 pistol for play and the ammo tests help. Thank you.
Thank you sir.😎👊
Cci got to put some more pressure behind these uppercuts these things suck 😮😅 thanks tools
Yep. Need some spice!
Looks like a marketing scam. Uppercut might expand out of a 20 inch barrel lol. Great video as always thanks! Your the man!
Thank you sir.😎👊
Other .22 slugs are copper or brass washed. the stinger is copper electroplated and is considered jacketed. As are many 9mm rounds now such as the blazer brass and Fiocchi.
Another great vid. Thanks for your time and money to do these tests.
VERY COOL! Thank you for testing the stuff we want to see.
😎👊
The fact that stinger wasn't designed to expand at shorter barrels actually plays a little bit of an advantage. For 22LR, where power is limited, you want penetration the most. The stinger not expanding actually improves its penetration
Yep. That's why I think Punch is the alpha .22lr if you're gonna use it for self-defense.
Well….. it seems like the Uppercut is more like a sucker punch. It actually met the velocity this time and still nothing. Glad I didn’t buy any yet. lol. You saved me money again good sir. Looks like Federal Punch will stay the champ for a while. 👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
I have another Uppercut test coming tomorrow. Let's just say if there is a 3-knockdown rule in effect, the Uppercut is done.😆
@@ToolsandTargets ….. 🤣 can’t wait!
Good test Tools. Can't figure out why some test are looking really good for the UpperCut while others show it to be total failure. I do know I trust your test and the results. That's 2 failed test for the UpperCut.
Be vigilant and always be safe my friend.
Thank you sir. Got another one coming tomorrow.😎👊
I really wanted the uppercut to do well. The first time I heard of it, I thought the Punch would have some competition, but NO. Hopefully, they'll see tests like this and improve it to do what it's supposed to do.
😎👊
The case, powder charge, and bullet weights are supposedly the same between the two, it’s basically just a stinger with a true copper jacket. I believe the uppercut is slower due to just being a jacketed round. Copper is much harder and more difficult to deform than lead so a lot of the energy is lost due to friction as it pushes through the rifling. Copper plating is so thin on the plated bullets that we don’t see any difference in velocity between plated and solid lead bullets.
Great test. The results are what they are. The Uppercut just isn’t cutting it, compared to how CCI is advertising it.
Thanks Tools.
Excellent test!
The uppercut is more like a low blow!
😂😂😂
Staying with my full size 9mm. Loaded critical duty.135.grn.+p😊😊😊

That Uppercut has humiliated itself once again, but that Stinger is really good stuff, even out of a pistol. It should be good for all your rimfire needs.

Good to see ammo makers trying to come up with quality Defense .22 ammo.
I'm still a big fan of Federal Punch for my .22 NAA revolver.
Even the velocitor is probably burying this new offering out of a pistol
I'd say so. These are just too light loaded for whatever reason.
Have you done stinger vs velocitor out of short barrels? @ToolsandTargets
Rifle test seems in order for these.😎👍
Just FYI Grizzly has 2 10 mm rounds, 180 and 200 .200 stated 1250 fps and chroned at 1287 ( rounds) .Not sure on the 180 states 1350 and the way Grizzly runs it's probably hotter .Good on ya 😊
Optimized to increase CCIs' profit margins seems to be about right.
Wonder if it will even work from a rifle length barrel
I saw on another channel the uppercut fired out of a 16inch barrel getting the velocity up to 1200fps. The uppercut did expand at 1200fps.
th-cam.com/video/JGQ5orOHJu0/w-d-xo.html
Another channel got pretty much the same results you got. He then shot it through a rifle got about 1150 fps and they DID expand that that speed - but had cycling problems. CCI needs to recall this crap. It isn't plinking ammo but for "defense".
Yep, I really don't understand why they didn't juice this stuff up some.

CCI develop and test in FBI spec calibrated organic gel. Are the test videos you're seeing done in the same? If what you've seen is in clear gel, it's not a reliable representation of the bullet's capability.
This is the types of comments I am seeing. It's like saying the bullets will work, but only on bad guys that are calibrated with 10 to 12% body fat.
Thank you for testing out these rounds so we don’t have to… Public service announcement: don’t buy gimmick ammo
Sad, but true.
Awww man. I had high hopes for this stuff. Guess ill keep sticking with my Stangers lol

If it is the cloth, then it means the Uppercut is a summer ammo in the southern states. Someone needs to make an ammo called the Haymaker that has near 22 mag performance optimized for revolvers.
Thanks for keeping it real for us!
Thanks for the test. CCI for the epic fail. I’m not sure what is going on with Federal and CCI making weak sauce loads reference this load and all their 10mm. They need to fire their lawyers.
