During the first match they talked about the lanes changing and how the reactive balls absorb the lane oil. I can remember when the reactive balls first came out I was just starting out in the pro shop business, I was working for a pro shop in a large AMF center here in Canada. And I remember the absolute HORROR that was caused when people started learning that the resin balls absorbed the oil from the lanes lol. It caused a near panic in this city not only about the lane conditions changing too rapidly and in a way that had never been seen before but also about how the life span of the balls would be affected. That was before 1995 but the were talking about it in the early frames of the first match and that took me back! Great stuff. Too bad we can't go back :(
I remember it took ages for the techs to catch up with the patterns. Bowling a in a 3 man team league the heads would be so dry by the 3rd game it would be hooking at your feet!
That wasn’t actually the Teal Rhino Pro. The Teal Rhino Pro was more of a greenish color. I think Hugh was using a Blue Rhino Pro which was actually urethane.
I would be willing to bet that if Norm Duke could go back and bowl the tournaments over again during the time he was throwing Hammer, he would do it. For a while there Hammer equipment was inferior and he suffered because of it, no doubt.
I owned a pro shop in a 74 lane house back then, and if memory serves, that first reactive navy blue Hammer also had core seperation issues. Anyway, I drilled one and couldn't get it to do much.@@LowEnd31st

When dude yelled during Norms approach he was sitting right behind me. Everyone looked at back and I almost passed out.
Love the OG Resin balls of the mid 90s.
I remember watching this live
Hoskins didn’t start winning tithes until they started giving players infinite right.
As you can see he had a couple of good years
After Duke won this one. He bought himself a new truck. and still drives it to this day.
I think I've seen it. Is it
Asshole Brown ?
Spoiler Alert, please watch all of the matches before you read the Comments.
Is that Ernie Schlegel in the crowd there? I don't believe it!

It was really just that first hammer reactive that wasn’t great. Had the original hammer core
