Kackie, 2 things. 1. How do you feel about the T28 blushes vs the Honest beauty blushes? 2. Be kind to and forgiving of yourself. As you know, your skin has been set up for trauma. The stress, new climate, change in water, etc. You've got this. 👍 If the self talk doesn't help with the picking, I found a distraction. Nail polish. I pick it off and just put a pretty new coat on. 😂 But I works.
Since you brought it up Danessa Myricks in the video and I love that you did for comparison I’d love to see a full Danessa Myricks brand video. Especially, want to hear your thoughts on the new balm contour and how it compares to Salt New York and I also hear the vision flush in tiara is a beautiful skin like highlight.
I love the Tower 28 West Coast bronzer. I’m cool toned and very fair so most bronzers either look muddy or orange on me, but Tower 28 looks very natural.
I am almost done with a Westman Atelier Baby Cheeks in Chouchette. I ❤️ it! My favorite blush ever. I bought it a year ago. I also have Petal and Mimi. Mimi is my second favorite. Keep in mind, these are the only blushes I have.
I personally prefer the Danessa Myricks blush palette. I find that it’s more pigmented, stiffer formula and it dries down and stays in place more than the tower 28 ones do. (Not that it dries down to a true powder like the new rare beauty but just more than the t28) Because of all those qualities I find it more of a multi tasker and I can happily put it on my eyes and know it won’t transfer off of my lids, unlike most cream blushes like the T28. I would say that the only part I prefer about the T28 ones is that they are dewier. They’re also more user friendly to a beginner who might be intimidated by all the colour options.
Does the DM formula "cover" texture like the Towe 28 blushes? My favorite thing about the 28 blushes is that it makes my textured cheeks look smooth in a way none of my other cream blushes do.
i find that the SOS spray is a lifesaver for refreshing and "balancing" out my skin after wearing a mask all day at work. I leave a bottle in my car and find it really refreshing to spray on my face after a long day. I'll even spray it on my mask as i take it on and off between running errands because (or at least I hope/believe) the hypochlorous acid offers some disinfecting properties. It also dries down nicely and doesn't get sticky like other face sprays i've tried! and that is my two cents on the matter of the SOS facial spray lmao love your videos!!
"I feel isolated". I felt that, *laughs in "has moved to United States at 27 year old without any family, friends or support system and minor language barrier"
Which do u prefer kosas concealer or beauty blender? And how long does the Danessa Myricks blush last? I find Fenty and Patrick Ta cream blush last the day for me; how does the DM hold up? Thanks!
I've never tried the Di Bronzi drops but I love the NIOD photography fluid 8%. I use it mixed in with moisturizer, under tinted moisturizer, or even as a cream bronzer. It works great for my fair skin. The 12% is also a really pretty subtle light glow that reminds me of the auric glow lust.
Kackie, I agree with you on multi-use products but these are an exception!! The staying power of the new colors is insane!! They make a lovely lip stain, promised!! You may love After Hours on the lips, I certainly do. Very much a "oh I just ate cherries look".
I personally loved the oversaturated NJ sunshine lighting, but I like this too! Tower 28 is on my (very long) To-Try list. If I were wearing my lip lipglosses more often, I'd probably have panned some and bought the Tower 28 ones already! (Thanks to Face masks, my 40ish lip products are getting neglected 😅)
Oh, PS! I used Persona's coral gloss with your lip liner this morning and WOW. Not a combo that would ever have occurred to me, but it was 4 am and I was walking around my office (at home) feeling SUPER cute. It gives such good contour and definition even with bright and saturation colors. Obsessed.
I work as a nanny right now to a 2 year old, and it some ways it’s really rewarding, but I have also been REALLY struggling with how isolating it is. I feel you. I’m watching you right now during nap time and you are my much needed human interaction of the day! Thank you and hang in there!
This is a really gorgeous blush look today! The thing that holds me back from getting these is that I have tried a lot of cream blushes and I have discovered I really like a dry down.
@@kackie Honest beauty, although they can get tacky if you layer too much. And the cloud paints. I have the Shiseido on my raidar because I think they have a powder finish.
Love your videos.Especially your delivery! I wear very little makeup but now have a growing collection of blush and I have to say it is from your influence. LOL! I never knew I could love blush so much. Thank you for informative videos. I have learned quite a bit from them. Hope you are loving living in New Jersey. I moved to New Jersey from Seattle. Huge change but it has certainly grown on me.
Since this is a cream blush video: THE KOSAS BLUSHES ARE 40% OFF. This is not a drill people. Also I think the lighting looks nice but I also know NOTHING about filming. If you liked the natural light better could you put up sheer curtains so it doesn't blind you? Idk if that would help but they look nice in my house lol
The Jelly glosses feel similar to Bobbi brown’s crushed oil gloss. The Bobbi brown is a touch more hydrating/emollient, and has a larger color range. I would love to see tower28 expand the color range of the milky jelly gloss. I love the color of power hour, but it fades so fast. I really have to pack it on in order for the color to last with out reapplying. I’m going to pick up rush hour since the color looked gorgeous on you, and hope it performs better.
Kackie as a girl with rosacea & erythromelalgia I can count on one hand the amount of times I've used blush but watching you makes me excited to try it more often. Thank you!
Omg so happy you mentioned the nudist palette! I bought it off your recommendation and I have never been so thrilled with a makeup purchase before. I was watching this and thinking, "I don't need any of these colors because of my dm palette!"
I totally agree, never found a formula that does lips and cheeks well. A lipstick does a better job as a blush than a cheek formula for lips in my opinion . Thanks for the video , a great chat 😀.
This was timely. I was in Sephora yesterday picking up Hydromaniac and stood staring at these blushes forever. Since I couldn’t swatch them, I wasn’t able to choose a color. -also, I would be interested in the mixer you mentioned. I love the Hydromaniac but it’s not warm enough for my undertone. I don’t want to spend the $$ on the mixer you used, but it needs something. It’s such a perfect formula for my skin.
Perfection is u in a crisp white button down, with the collar high and hair off to one side👌 beautiful. Cant beat a classic. Definitely a go to for good reason. And u wear it so well❤️
So, my only question is on the size of the DM cubes. How do u get a brush in there? I absolutely love my Magic Hour ❤️. Perfect everyday blush for my 47 yo skin & I definitely need ALL the shades.
I have it and use the thrive bronzer brush or my elf airbrush precision stipple brush and I have no problem dipping into a single color. I just measured them and they're 1 inch squares
I'm regularly tempted by these Tower 28 blushes but then I use the one Kosas one I have and go "uuuuugh I just want to buy another one of these though!" Purely because it comes with a highlighter and I already know I like it.
Oohhh thanks for the info on Danessa's palettes. I've been looking at contour from her but couldn't quite get there. there are a few shades in the palette you showed that could work plus all the lovely blush tones I want - all without having to buy $20+ for each individual shade! Awesome!!
I have Magic Hour, West Coast, 2 of the milky glosses, 1 original gloss and the SOS spray (it makes a great makeup setting spray too). I was hoping you would review the new shades to help me decide if I wanted to get a few more. I happened to wear all T28 stuff today too as well as the Kackie lip liner. I love this line - esp. great for people with sensitive skin, acne or any eczema. It is also women/minority founded/owned!
I found this blush formula to be similar to smearing vaseline on my combination skin--it sorta sat there and then disappeared after an hour or so. And that Magic Hour color looked orange-brown on my fair skin--no pink or rosiness whatsoever.
I loved the watercolouur look you did! So fresh and summery! I was hoping you'd swatch all the milky glosses cause the video where you reviewed them is not available anymore :(
Girl, again, the hair is looking glorious. I'm wondering of the Gressa liquid bronzer could be used in the way you use the D bronzi? 🤔 Have you done a full swatch video of that DM palette? Every time you flash it on screen I'm like 🤤. Then I see it online and worry that I just wouldn't use some of the shades.

They all look lovely. I've never been a cream products user but as I'm older and my skin is drier, I'm thinking of switching. You look beautiful! Hugs xxx
As a photographer / mua I find Danessa Myricks formulation very thick and not emollient unless you use her beauty oil, makes sense because it’s meant for editorial magazines. But I just had to declutter that lip and cheek palette from her and something in her vision cream cover breaks me the hell out. The new twin flame glitter liquids are a disappointment. That doesn’t deter me from admitting her work and use her as my mentor though.
