@@kackie I think many neutral foundations look a bit yellow for some strange reason. I have tinted moisturizer by Laura Mercier in the shade Walnut 5n1. It's a little too yellow for me.
"Who knows where thoughts come from?" Idk. I think my dog controls mine. For some reason he woke me up at 3 in the morning for a treat and for some reason I gave him one instead of ignoring him...
Did the primer pill up? Cannot believe how affordable this brand is, such a relief honestly. I love that they have more than 3 blush shades lol I would love to see a review of their brushes and the bronzer if you decide to try it out.
Ooo the satin finish is exactly what I’m looking for in a cream blush! The dew-y blush look is pretty but I don’t always want a sticky cheek. The peach shade Kindness is pretty and I want to compare it to the Kosas Velvet Melon shade that I love! Love this brand review. I can’t wait for more launches from them.
I ended up getting a too deep shade too but the sheerness makes it possible. But on me the LYS foundation was definitely more radiant and serum-y, I didn’t use a primer just sunscreen under it, where the Uoma one was soo matteeee on me lol
I’ve been interested in trying this brand, but it’s almost too good to be true. A black owned, clean, and affordable brand?! Yes please. I’ve just been waiting to hear your thoughts before I give them my money.
Rewatching because I couldn’t remember how you felt about the blushes. I’m finally getting one and I’m so glad I decided to watch this review again. I’m so excited to get my paws on this blush now!!❤
Since you were talking about getting peels, I'd love to hear about your process for finding a dermatologist that does that and fillers. I go to a dermatologist in the same practice as my regular doctor and they're much more of a check your moles kind of place than an optional cosmetic procedure place.
@@Saffron333 I don’t have the Vesca bronzer but I do have Charlotte tilbury in fair and the LYS light bronzer is definitely darker than Charlotte tilbury fair bronzer. The two other powder bronzers I have that are closest are the Physician’s formula butter bronzer (the original one) and the Marc Jacob’s tantastic. Tantastic is very slightly darker/orange. LYS is probably closest to the butter bronzer but matte and the butter bronzer is ever so slightly glowy .
I don’t necessarily need another bronzer, but I am going to purchase one. I love the packaging. I adore the concept of this brand. I don’t have a cream blush, so I am considering a purchase of one. I just have the Flower Beauty Blush Bomb, which is closer to a liquid.
Oh.lawd.Jesus🤩🤩 was my response to you blending in that first blush. Wow did that go sooooo pretty and perfect. My only wish with this brand is if they could have gone more sustainable with refillable compacts. I can already tell I'll prefer that formula to the Salt New York formula but I'll likely be more apt to purchase Kjaer Weis (as I prefer their formula over SNY) bc I prefer the idea of building my own palette, especially for travel in the [distant] future.
I have a similar skintone to yours and just tried the light shade of bronzer. It is indeed a little too deep and orange to be a believable tan shade.. The formula is however very nice!
Darn, I slept on these blushes and saved my fav TH-cam’s video for when I had “quiet” and no kids time. Now they are all sold out. Congrats LYS for making something clean for ALL.
It is really helpful the way that you review! If it's not as dewy on you that might be exactly what I need. The ingredients are perfectly suited for my sensitivities. THANK YOU Kackie!
😂😂😂 this sounds exactly like me when I buy vs when I do my makeup. Buys colorful palette to branch out and do fun pops of colors on inner corner, ends up using bronzer as eyeshadow and moving on... 🤦🏻♀️😂
I'm fascinated with the foundation conversation, I had that issue with the Range foundation, it didn't perform for me at all in the way they claimed it to do. I'm really interested in the Uoma foundation, they sound way ahead of the game!
I'm Black and love clean beauty and as soon as I found out about it I was gonna tell you to review them, and then I went on Insta and saw you already noticed them😂😂
I'm so excited to try this brand. It's so nice to look at models that look like me and then look at the ingredients and not have worry about them breaking me out
A clean AND inclusive AND affordable brand? Well slap my booty and call me Judy. What a concept 😲❤️
Hahahahahaha omg
*omg, Judy
“I got this in the shade shake well before use” I laughed so hard oh my God
Hahahahahaha

Very insightful video!! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed your review and opinion of our products💕 Thank you so much for sharing genuine love! 🥰

It will pill if you try to rub on top of it! Yeah that was why I ended up going with the sponge.

Yes! And also the peels process, recovery, pain, etc.
FYI I bought Ultra Fair in the UD Hydromaniac and I got the Motivate-Light shade of the LYS bronzer and I like it!
How would you compare it to some other lightest bronzer shades on the market, like the vesca kissed by Rio or the Charlotte Tilbury fair bronzer?

Great review, Kackie. Those blushes look wonderful, love that "satin matte" finish in a cream blush.
That blush looks amazing and exactly what I’ve been searching for.
They're ALL out of stock on sephora 😭
And at that price! Oh I am sold

Yes, I’m so happy your trying the brand out because I’m very interested in it, lots of love from Puerto Rico 🤎
Hi there! Great video. Would you mind to tell which blush brush did you use? Thanks xo
"Who knows where thoughts come from? They just appear!" (nods)
The final makeup looked so pretty!
Agreed! And can’t even tell it was the wrong shade match!
I won that imayla giveaway too and I’m so blown away already!!!
Yay!!!
Thanks for all the info, taking this brand out of my cart.
Your makeup is so beautiful. I loved your look.
"Butt ton" -- why we love you.
😂 it’s a standard unit of measurement
I was just about to pull the trigger on all the Salt New York (because the big boy palette just restocked) but these blushes are tempting.🤔
this headband though
🥰 just trying to keep up with you
Sephora junkie here for the latest from Kackie. 😁
What kind of chemical peel do you recommend??
I’ve only ever gotten the Vi peel but I LOVE it.
@@kackie how do you personally find a place to get a chemical peel? What do you look for when trying to find a new place?
SO excited about this brand. Definitely picking up the blush in Confident when it's back in stock!
Shit. I need Empower too
😂
Yay! I’m going to have to get some of their blushes!
I’ve noticed that inclusivity is always a part of your criteria! Subscribed 🤎
U can’t tell on camera that it’s the wrong shade. I wonder if the gripping primer is good for oily skin 🤔
Probably!!
Is the foundation glass?
I'm so early! love watching new kackie videos in the morning 💖
🥰🥰🥰
Kackie how often did you get the chemical peel? I wana do the same.
I mean before I was pregnant like 3x a year? That’s a lot though. Twice a year for maintenance probably.

What's the foundation like if you don't wear any primer?
It’s lightweight and serumy but tends to be a little flat on me.
