When you're flat ass broke and unable to afford this stuff anymore, it's great to see somebody doing all the things that you used to enjoy doing ! I guess that's what we call living vicariously through someone else. I love your videos keep up the good work.
Ok I am so glad you are on TH-cam. I thought I had a halloween problem. My friends and family think I am a nut case. It's nice to see people like you that love this holiday as much as I do. My bf keeps yelling at me for my pumpkin obsession. I don't care. Halloween has always ment the world to me. Keep up the good work
Nice finds! I'm pretty sure the ceramic witch on the jack-o-lantern is one of those home-painted crafts that people did in the 70s and early 80s (like the ceramic Christmas trees that are popular again). Your fiber optic jack-o-lantern is definitely my favorite from this haul!
The fiber optic decorations are always a favorite to find! I just need to find the power adapters to turn them on. I think you may be right about the witch ceramic. If that's the case, I'm glad to find ones that have been painted so well.
So many awesome finds! I love that singing skull platter. I have the addams family singing tree, it's one of my favorites. I say this every time but your thrift store rocks!!! I really wish ours carried more stuff.
I just found your channel and I'm a fellow halloween hoarder. I don't have that much space either but I'm working on getting my own place again so I can display my stuff. I can't wait to see what you come up with next.
Nice intro and outro on this Haul video! Especially the blooper stuff at the end.😅 Always cool to see your Halloween finds. September was a good time to go Halloween hunting at the thrift store. Your Goodwill store carries alot more than mine! BTW great Halloween 3/Silver Shamrock long sleeve top! The fiber optic stuff is great! I have a large arching cat with skull that I bought in 2001 from Wal-Mart. It's my only one that I own and still a favorite! The old Gemmy talking vampire is great. It doesn't move its mouth but, his phrases are well done! Also the skull with the top hat and the grimacing smile reminds me of Lon Chaney in London After Midnight. Glad to see that most of finds work fine after putting in new batteries.🦇
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video, and appreciated the bloopers haha. There were a lot more of them. The shirt is from One Man Riet, I think there is a link to his page in my first Mail Haul video. Sounds like you have some very special pieces in your collection!
@@BenTheHalloweenHoarder I'm a Halloween Hoarder myself lol. Like you, I love Halloween and sometimes I buy stuff new when it first comes out every year. Like that fiber optic cat from Wal-Mart. Couldn't pass that up! I also love vintage stuff. So it's awesome to find it when thrifting. I really have to like the item to buy it when it comes to buying new. There are a few items from the past that I had a chance to buy new that I'm "kicking myself" now for not buying it at that time. Though I try to be careful on what I buy due to lack of storage space. I don't sell my stuff either. I store them away. I enjoy taking them out and displaying it with any new purchases. I have a large attic with collapsible plastic shelvings. When I do go thrifting I try to be mindful of that I only have so much space. Though it can be tough. A few times I do give in to the temptation. lol Sometimes I do buy from Ebay and Etsy. I sometimes come across items that are one of kind artist made. I love supporting small businesses when I can. Always a cool thing. Watching your video is always a pleasure! It brings back memories of Halloween past. Looking forward to more great videos Ben! All the best! 🎃
@@edwinf8328 The joys of Halloween hoarding. There are thrift hauls surrounding my bed and I have to pull an Indiana Jones move to get on there. I agree, buying new from chain retailers has to be something pretty amazing. I have a rule of never buying Halloween at full price, I've only broken it once and in retrospect, the piece wasn't super amazing but the season had just begun and there were only a few left. I also agree with supporting small business and right now I feel like there are so many making Halloween merch, it's hard to say no. I'm so glad you enjoy my videos and I appreciate your support!
@@BenTheHalloweenHoarder Lol..I hear ya! I know what you mean about buying new. Especially now that it seems Halloween items have been becoming more collectable. Stores are realizing that and they are putting out new merchandise every year. Looking at trends. Retro style is a real favorite and is a strong seller. If you really think about it, alot of the vintage Halloween items from the past came from the old 5 and Dime stores, FW Woolworths, mom and pop stores/pharmacy. Cheaply made and never intended to be kept "unused", much less be a collectable. Certain Halloween items of today eventually will become future collectibles. One example would be the fiber optic Halloween decorations. You don't see them anymore. Yet they use to be big in the late 80s early 90s. Telco Halloween Motionettes from mid to late 80s, were also another popular item. I used to see them everywhere in my local general/variety store, K-Mart, Bradlees, Sears. Who knew that those figures would be highly sought after in the future? I was lucky to find 2 in a garage sale about 3 years ago! The Red Devil and the Phantom of the Opera complete with original box and in excellent working condition. Both for $20! Looking forward to watching more of your videos in 2021! Hopefully the coming new year will bring more great Halloween finds! Keep hunting and have a Safe, Healthy, Prosperous New Year Ben! 🎃🎆🎉🎊
First time viewer here and it was an instant subscribe for me 🎃 love the quality of your videos! You got some amazing treasures in this haul my dude! That empire bucket tho 😍😍😍
Next year will be more elaborate with everything. That's why I love thrifting or finding what I need to making it. But all in all LOVE ur channel. OCTOBER is always the safest month for us and u

4:05 that mirror on the right is Gemmy and is animated. That's the extremely rare 4 candle version
Awesome finds! Love the recap in pictures at the end!

Oh and I keep meaning to say that the products you call jellies are commonly referred to as "melted plastic popcorn" 😉
Thank you! These hauls come from dozens of different Goodwills across the city.
Haha, thank you for revealing the proper name for these decorations.

Rad, welcome to the horde! I hope you get your place soon and can bask in the warm glow of hoarded jackolanterns!
I am so happy you uploaded a video! I have been checking for new videos and was excited to see one 🎃
Thank you so much for watching! I have so much more to show you, it just takes time and I currently don't have much of that.
I got that skull on a platter! And he works still moves!
Miss your content. Hope you do more content for the 2023 Halloween season.

I really wish I went Halloween hunting after the Unholy Day.
This year was so strange for Halloween. Shelves were empty long before Halloween. Let's hope next year is better.

It’s pronounced like jimmy
Thank you! I had a feeling I had been saying it wrong.
@Patchouli Julie jimmy and gemmy sound the same to me
