    The third point was a game changer! The perspective with which you look at a question, whether you feel pressured & frustrated or you see the beauty & learning in the question, does make a lot of difference. Thank you Sir!

      Hi Vignesh. This is Jatin (Head of VARC & Student Care at 2IIM). I wanted to tweak the answer given to you earlier by my team. I'll give you a number of options to build vocabulary. Note that although CAT does not have direct vocabulary questions, building a solid vocabulary will definitely help you in better comprehending RCs. Also, OMETs (other management entrance exams) do have direct vocab questions.
      1. Supplement Reading with Vocab expansion - While reading, do not pick up the dictionary mainly because in the exam, you won't have access to one. Attempt to understand the meanings of words through context (surrounding words & sentences). Also, remember it's not necessary to understand each and every word & sentence in an RC. Your focus should be on the Main Idea. Check out this video on Effective Reading to learn more - th-cam.com/video/OlXAkzw2qNY/w-d-xo.html.
      Once you are done reading/solving the article/RC then look up the unfamiliar words in the dictionary and add them to your vocabulary. Of course for your leisure reading, continue reading the amazing Bharath's reading list to excellently build reading skills.
      2. Use apps such as Knudge.Me, knudge.me/courses/vocabulary-builder.html or Merriam-Webster, play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.merriamwebster&hl=en_IN&gl=US or any other good app to build your vocabulary. Check out Vocabulary.com as well.
      3. Word Power Made Easy by Norman Lewis is fantastic! It will require a lot of effort to complete but if you manage to do that, you will surely reap the rewards. 30 mins per day for 1.5 to 2 months will be required to complete this book. In fact my students are currently doing that. I conduct optional sessions for them every Sunday where we go through a quiz and discussion around specific chapters. If you are ready to put in that effort, I would say buy the book. June is not late at all for starting the book. Check out this video about this book by Bharath sir on our Tamil channel - th-cam.com/video/TMr7UIPtAnU/w-d-xo.html. If you don't understand Tamil, watch out for the English version which will be released soon.
      Hope this helps. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to reply and I will get back. All the best!

      Hey Vaishnavi, please cover the syllabus to see your scores improve. Continue practicing relentlessly in quants - that's the only way. You'll see that you'll be able to solve questions in lesser time gradually. Get accustomed to solving problems in a timed test environment. You can do the 2IIM's Daily Quiz - a 15 min timed test for a simulation. That'll help you.

    • @khushikanchan53
      @khushikanchan53 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      hey Rahulhimadri first of all don't stress about both of these sections at all if you want to be good at DILR purchase a book that has basic to advanced level ques start doing logical reasoning as a puzzle or game mindset not as a study you'll fail in your initial attempts but if you keep on analyzing your mistakes you'll understand that lr is easy Also I would suggest watch online videos of solving such ques trust me lr is easy coming to DI firstly learn average percentage ratios in best way possible it'll help you ALOTT find quick solving techniques online 😊 DI is easy
      coming to Quants section learn quick tricks along with revision on everyday basis you may also join coaching online they'll help you alot or if your good at maths then focus on speed
      ALWAYS SOLVE LAST YEAR QUES EVEN IF YOU GET 1 RIGHT practice everyday soon you'll realize you're pro and confident HAVE POSITIVE MINDSET
      BEST OF LUCK ❤😊

    • @2iimcat
      @2iimcat  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hey Vaishnavi,
      Glad you started doing mocks - of course you can improve it to 99%ile. Analyze your mock - see where you missed out - what was the reason behind scoring low in each section - review it thoroughly, learn from your mistakes and jump on to the next mock. That's a good place to start improving your scores.
      Best Wishes!
