I lost my P-Model S this week. It was a wide open hole. There was nowhere for it to go to be lost. It was the most Prodigy thing I've ever seen. It was my only Prodigy Disc. I'm not even mad.
@@Precisionmagert as much as it's good for some, I never got along with it. I wanted to like it, and continued to want to like it until it left me. It was at that moment, as I watched it roll out of sight over the hill into an open area never to be seen again, that I realized my affections had never materialized. It was that one acquaintance that seems nice, and most people seem to like well enough, but you never really connected with and they don't respond to your texts and you only see them at that weekly social function or church. I named it "Steven."
Relying on your pros for success as a disc manufacturer is extremely risky. Any pro can fall out of contention for various reasons. They should focus on their product first and signing successful pros for expanding the market is secondary. Prodigy is in trouble not because of their team but because of a perception by the disc golf community that their products are substandard fueled by videos like this one in social media.
I think the "opt-out clause" and "helped the players find a new brand" is just how prodigy is trying to spin it. It appears Innova bought the contracts out, while Prodigy had to eat some of it.
@@scotty2tone I hope you live long enough to understand that in your later years some new things will seem foolish to you. In the Alabama Disc Golf community "Prodigy" is a bad word. They screwed over a well known Pro from Huntsville. So, To me, if Prodigy goes under.... Well... What goes around, comes around.
The dgpt doing the whole website pay to watch bullshit has ruined disc golf. They got greedy when disc golf was popular through the pandemic. They should have been reaching out to streaming services such as espn. Prodigy is just a casual of this greed. Their baskets are shit though.
discs are either USA or china made and on top of that the plastic feels off like they are different discs even though I got all 400 series .. never again
As I've started playing disc golf, there was never anything about Prodigy that really stood out to me or that I liked. Disc models are confusing. Nothing really made sense, and I didn't like the quality/feel.
Nobody's buying prodigy discs anymore, so they needed to cut the fat. I've never tried a prodigy disc that I liked and don't even get me started on their junk baskets.
Innova was just hanging back while everyone thought COVID money was gonna stick around, vet move by them the Disc golf bubble has gone through growth and decline before and they knew that.
I hope this is true. Although a mixed bag overall they have some molds that are top level - it would be a shame not to have those continue to have those manufactured.

I agree
That is exactly how MVP approached the industry and it has worked out pretty good for them

I have maybe 3,200 discs in stock at my disc golf store.
17 of them are from Prodigy.
They still sittin' there.
This is gonna be the nail in the coffin for this company. No one throws prodigy. They are as dead as Star Wars. RIP
X3 400 are fire D3-D4 my go to Back Hand Drivers ..... nothing Wrong with Prodigy Discs..... Management needs to Go ....
Does anyone wake up Not being offended by something any more?? I am So sick of all the negativity! Yall should just be happy you woke up breathing!

How did they screw them over?
Lavone was not the only one they did shifty things to either.
@user-ic8vy1xs4g true. For me that was the beginning of the end and I hope it all comes crashing down soon.
@@mntwinsfan1988 stole over $10k from them
Great video, Swiss! I love your style and humor. Keep it up!

"Lyrics are solid." You're really trying to get views with that line. It was not good and anyone with a pulse or knows good music, knows that.
Kinda dumb Rehash from other outlets than wrapped up with dribble.

why do you awkwardly say 'fuck' only to censor yourself?

LFG DISC GOLF WORLD!!!
My local retailer sent back their entire last shipment because of quality. Only good thing to come out of Prodigy was the PA-3 Fractal
Innova was just hanging back while everyone thought COVID money was gonna stick around, vet move by them the Disc golf bubble has gone through growth and decline before and they knew that.
Prodigy is..
They make some nice stuff, probably wouldn't include baskets on that list just from what I've seen this year.
Good stuff. I couldn't make it this year 😥 I was there last 2 years. MN disc golf community is sick! My weekend was sick bit in WI
Stoked Matty O was in the running at the Preserve! Great Vid Cheese!
Hopefully the song "leaks" to KJ and he can do a remix for the partys. It was kind of good
Good writing as usual y’all!!
And thanks for the shoutout!!
Love the shout out for disc golf meme tour theyve been on the up and up
The worse it gets for prodigy, the happier i will be. I hope they lose it all. That dis track started mild but kept getting hotter as it went on.
Damn bro, go outside.
I better go buy all the A3s I can find
are you referring to yourself as The Nephew?
Jefferson is Swiss’ nephew
Innova is buying prodigy
