A masterclass in o/s button up shirts. Thank you Jamie. While shirts haven't really been my thing, having found a green one which looks amazing with my skintone, I'm willing to be "persuaded". It looks great tied in the "perfect knot" to showcase my waist, creating the illusion of a longer leg with my favourite bottoms, ankle length slim or straight leg jeans. The days of shorts are over for me as gravity is evident in the knee department!! You look great in them, and there's my favourite belt - I have one just like it. Thanks so much Jamie for all the work and expertise you put into these videos. It takes time to experiment, dress and set up each look.
Thanks for so many kind words Wendy! If you like color stick with that. No need to wear a white one if it doesn't suit you but they are super versatile!
Fantastic video! You are a pleasure to watch. I love how you model your outfits with such joy. I've learned so much from watching your Channel. Because of you I have four new button up shirts that I have really been having fun styling. This video gives me a lot more ideas. After watching this I'm wondering how many is too many LOL. I have white, light blue, blush, and teal for spring and summer.
Absolutely love this! It is so helpful to actually see outfits put together. I’ve been eyeing an oversized shirt but wasn’t sure how to wear it. Now I shall go ahead and purchase one. Thank you for the inspiration.
Thanks for making this video. I have a denim/chambray button-up that has been hanging in my closet. I plan on wearing it tomorrow over a black, short sheath dress (tied up at the bottom). Thanks for the idea.
I enjoyed your video. My favorites were the high waisted wide leg jeans with the pink blouse. That is an awesome pink blouse. I also the thought the tan and brown wide leg cropped pants outfits looked wonderful. The tee shirt dress with ankle boots is something I would think about trying. Thanks for the great ideas and summer suggestions.
I’m wearing my vintage silk robe as an oversized top today. I used the sash and a broach to secure it with a sage green t-shirt and cargo pants. Oversized button front shirts have been a staple in my closet since the 80s. Love from the spooky Pine Barrens in NJ
Hi Jamie, so many ideas to process I will watch again! I bought the blinged out denim button up shirt from Anthropology and it was so oversized I was worried. Worry no more because I’m going to have tons of fun this week experimenting. Thank you ☺️
Thank you for this video. I am a petite girl and I have a hard time with my oversize shirt. I have two of them and it’s not some thing I reach for because I just don’t know how to put it together right.
Not a trend I will be participating in but I thought that this trend really suits you. I especially loved the wide leg cropped brown trousers styled with the white shirt, white trainers and white/straw bag - really pretty and elegant. This look seemed to make you look taller as well for some reason.
I really love the tied-waist shirt with the long, wide-leg jeans, this outfit makes your waist look tiny. I think skinny jeans are totally out-of-style.
I've been wearing oversized button shirt tied open over a tank top since 1984 when I was 18 years old and in the Air Force. I stole my boyfriend's. Glad to see it finally in style!🙂
QandA How do you stay motivated to dress with style when the people in your life don't care or notice and you live in a culture where fashion is not important or understood?
Take baby steps. Don’t just go for complete outfits all the time but maybe a favourite top one day or a nice fitting pair of trousers. Please yourself and, I think you will be surprised, people will notice but in a good way. This is because you will be radiating confidence and feeling good because you are dressing in items that you love, feel comfortable in and project your personality. This is what has worked for me. Hope this has been of some help x
Thank you, I appreciate all of your suggestions 👏👏

Thanks Pajama Mama! I think as long as you wear them you can't have too many!
@@YourGuideToStyle thanks! I have been wearing them often. It's so much fun having a lightweight layering pieces for the summer

I bet you look amazing! Sounds so pretty! Thanks so much!
@@YourGuideToStyle I got a lot of compliments. I work as a civilian in a medical group at a military base and I’m not used to compliments.

I’m petite, just use your regular size . Works well.
Oh I hope this is helpful than!
Have u played around with the crossover tuck for the oversized shirts?
I have not, but I am going to now! I have seen that and it just didn't look like something that would stay and I would be fiddling with it all day!
It’s a great trend, I love my button up.
I love mine too now!

It's not for everyone so that's okay! I am glad you liked one of the outfits and thanks for your feedback!

Thanks Kimberly!
I would to try but need to fina a collarless shirt. ☹️
You can probably find one that had a banded collar and that would work!

I love it! I bet that was even better than what you can find today!

@@dijanawarrender8627 that's great advice. Thank you so much. I'll try that.
I feel like I'm swimming in the pink Target shirt..... probably should have gotten a smaller size.
I actually sized up in that to get it really oversized. I think if you roll the sleeve up and tie it in the front it will be a game changer for you!
Hi, new subscriber here... nice video🥰
