Oh my gosh, in 2019 I did work place experience at king eddies through the GREaT program ( get real experience and try ) . I fell in love with the family birthing suite, which is seperate from the hospital itself but still on the same grounds and managed by the hospital as well as the breastfeeding clinic. All of the staff throughout the whole hospital were so lovely and helped me through the week amazingly. It was such a great experience and I whole heartedly would recommend king eddies to anyone wether it be expectant mother’s, nurses, doctors or surgeons! Lots of love xx
The United States DESPERATELY needs to take a lesson from other places such as New Zealand, Australia and the UK when it comes to using midwives. The US desperately needs a birth education overhaul!
You don't need to finish year twelve to be a midwife. I only completed year 10, did me Diploma of Nursing and have just been accepted into the bachelor degree of Nursing and midwifery..
I thought it only took 8 years for education. 4 years of university degree in nursing. 3 years of program for specialized in midwifery. 1 year of internship/experience.

Thank you! I have had the help of a midwife with my last 3 births. I encourage everyone that is not high risk to go this route. God bless midwives!
