Truth! Not only they make songs that rhyme in Korean and American language, but they use many metaphors for their lyrics. Then too many other structures within their meanings that tells another who story. Yet let's not forget, they put all their songs, to work around their fandom chants! Now you tell me who else is this talented... don't even! Our boys are beyond talented and not just that, 90% of their songs have a strong meaning or story behind it. If you like them now, you don't even know until you deep dive more into their songs.
A little note on the rapline... RM is the leader, main writer and only fluent English speaking member. His rap is more lyrical and poetic. He is a genius yet he uses his platform to help us with what he most can, to influence others, support the fam while being truthful their his journey.
Suga is a song writer too but mainly known as the producer of the group. He is raw, real and honest. Most music he has put out is about his journey through music..hes always honest and regardless through his image of this picture perfect idol, he doesn'tcare, he's always been himself. You can see in most his solo project and album that he expresses himself and his story through his music.
On the other hand, JHope is versatile. He originally was the main dancer who was accepted to be one of the memebers. Real facts, with his real live and experience with the hip hop dance scene , it was.only natural for him to become the 3rd member of the rap line. Fun fact, the music label originally wanted him to be a si ger in the group. Hence why he's got such great vocals. Bit he definitely was needed because from RM, such a lyricist and Suga such a natural, he was brought on as the 3rd rapper. We are so lucky to have his, melodic, and motherly musical talent that supports the other rappers. If you don't have that, then the rapline would never be able to look so good....

@@edgarjc There are several live performance videos. One with just the rap line is crazy fabulous!!!
They also have a live performance of this song where all 7, which include the 4 vocal line members of Jin, Jimin, Tae, and JK, contribute to this song!!!! It's fun to watch how inclusive and generous they are with each other!!!! I believe it was for a BTS Muster, an annual "birthday" event for their debut on June 12th-13th!!! BigHit did a mini one last year without them, as Jin and JHope were enlisted in their mandatory military service, Suga was on tour for his Agust D concert, and the others were finishing their solo projects. This year, Jin was discharged the day before and was the only member to perform at this yearly event!!!! All 6 were enlisted; JHope was just discharged on October 17th!!!! The 5 remaining will be discharged in 2025, RM and V will be discharged June 10th; Jimin and JK on June 11th; and Suga on June 21st .

If I had to pick just one verse, it would be RM's. The number of ways he uses ddaeng (6 meanings), his chill flow and the stuttering.
Word play in this is crazy. There are multiple meanings to ddaeng. In order to appreciate it, one needs to have an explanation. DKDKTV's has the best explanation.
BTW, there is a difference between the pronunciation of ddaeng (땡) and dang (댕). The dd is hit hard and short, it can almost sound like a T.

Trying to pick a fave is like trying to pick your favorite candy. It all depends on your mood lmao. There's a saying (I might mess it up😅): Suga will tell you you're shit; RM will tell you why you're shit; Hobi will tell you it's okay to be shit lmao

Ugh! Is a fabulous BTS rap line track that is all about the wasted anger of their haters!! This song, Ugh!, also goes really deep about how the misguided and overuse of anger over trivial issues causes the anger to become impotent in making changes for real problems that effect the world!!! Basically, by the song's end, the BTS rap line is telling the haters who use their anger to cause pain and hurt others are useless snd mock their anger of them (BTS)!!! This is a hard rap song, which begins with Suga, and their live, which I don't think has English subtitles is spectacular, as you see their on stage chemistry is pure electric and on 🔥.
Just a note, JHope was NOT a hip-hop rap artist when he was signed as a BTS trainee, and had NO vocal training of any kind in any genre. They signed him because of his award winning street dancing experience!!!! RM and Suga worked with him during their trainee days to help him find his style of hip-hop rap that he was confident and comfortable with!!!!!
And if you really want to see their evolution as hip-hop rap artists, especially JHope, you need to watch the Cypher pt 1-4!!!! In the second Cypher pt 2, Suga has his fastest rap verse, originally timed at 9.8 syllables per second, but during a radio show interview he was timed at 11.8 syllables per second, with his Cypher pt 2 verse!!!!! These are specific diss hip-hop rap tracks aimed at the Korean underground hip-hop artists that during a live broadcast publicly maligned and bullied RM and Suga for keaving the underground scene and signing with BigHit to become "idols" and thus sellouts!!! They tried to humilate them by stating they weren't hip-hop rap artists because of this decision to be in an idol group and were really girls and women fir dressing up and wearing makeup!!!! So, yeah!!!! Their diss rap lyrics will be raw, harsh, and are definitely calling out those haters that treated them horribly through the years!

Highly recommend watching Ddaeng explained by DKDKTV. There is so much crazy wordplay in this song and its impossible to understand unless you have it explained to you/speak Korean. If will definitely give you a new appreciation for these men as lyricists. Also recommend the BTS song Hip Hop lover and RM's songs Forever Rain, Life and Rush with Krizz Kaliko. J Hope's Jack in the Box is an entire love letter to 90's hip hop/rap - (Pandora's Box is my favorite)
