Gen Suleimani was India's greatest friend and ally in the region. For those who understand our national security, Gen Suleimani had been a staunch supporter and even planned a rescue op for Commander Kulbhushan Jadhav.
He had helped India not only build ties with Northern Alliance, but also successfully prevented several sabotage ops at Chabahar and Afghanistan against India's interests. He had gone out of the way to influence Houthis in Yemen to call a cease fire until Gen VK rescued Indian nationals.
Besides being a top class special forces commander, not only Indians but several US military personnel respected the man as he had facilitated the release of US Navy personnel who had entered Iranian waters unknowingly.
Right now, various military personnel in the US and NATO have condemned this stupid action, given the fact that this man was singularly responsible for wiping out ISIS from Iraq and Syria.
If there is a country besides Iran who has been at a major loss, it is India.

Why am I not surprised about protest in 430 cities in India?
Shia community in India is extremely well networked so not surprising if they managed to pull significant number of Hindu as well. They are educated, peaceful, wealthy and are very well placed in sectors like media, army, healthcare, IT, traditional businesses, academia and trading. Shia are BJP voters🙏
Sorry, It's not networking but the larger vision of Islamists ummah. They must be from India but there heart beats for Iran or for the ummah. In 2012, more than 5000 muslims gather in Azad Maidan in Mumbai to protest against Buddhist of Myanmar and against Assam's Bodo community, because there was a riot between the indigenous ppl of Assam and Bangladeshi Muslims. What was the outcome. Buses, Police vans, Riot vans, Press cabs burnt, Women/Police personnel physically harrassed, Public property burnt and worst was the vandalism of Amar Jawan Jyothi which commemorate our fallen soldiers. Did you ever thought what makes these muslims to protest for Rohingya and Bangladeshi Muslims but no respect for its own soldiers who saved them from Mumbai Attack by giving their lives? Have you ever thought why Indian Muslims where so much interested in Caliphate in Turkey in 1929 more than removing British from India.

The people of India should be Indians first . They may belong to any religion . Any event happening in international diaspora should not call for any kind of protest .430 cities ...protest ...this kind of tacit display is nothing but a blatant hegemony from this community.
As much as india's population is, there aren't 430 cities in India. The iranian FM is exaggerating the facts to tell everyone in the world that India is with Iran in their dispute.
