Wesbank offered me 15.4%, the highest from any bank that I applied to. When I told them another bank had offered me a rate minus prime, they came back to offer me 11.75%. I still declined because I knew I was guaranteed a rate less than that. So the lesson here is you must know these banks want to screw you and you should negotiate. If they offer you a bad deal or high interest rate, walk away.

Banks will always offer a lower interest rate on brand new cars. And brand new cars are expensive so consumer is stuck between rock and hard place unfortunately 🤷‍♂️

Is there a rule of thumbs to how far they can go back on your financial habits? 3months is sufficient to qualify right??

Approach the banks all in one day you should be fine,it will be taken as 1 check but if you do it on different days then it will be regarded as multiple checks and that will definitely harm your score. In terms of checking your spending usually they'd ask for 3 month's bank statements. Hope that clarifies it for you.
