I used to love gymnastics but I’m not sure I do anymore. I feel so unmotivated and I constantly feel like I’m gonna burst into tears even in the gym now. I feel like if I quit I would be letting my younger self down. And I don’t want to just let go of all of the hard work I’ve put into this. I think I love competing. Before gymnastics I was never good at anything and I might not be good at anything again of I quit. And I really do love winning. My minds not in it and i don’t know of my heart is either. I will never be great and once I graduate I will have to quit anyway bc I will never be good enough for college level gymnastics. What should I do?

Similar situation is with me. I started badminton as a professional career option of becoming world number 1 I trained very hard did everything for it yet recieved failure and humiliation and loneliness and fear of loosing other joys of life feeling that I will miss other entertainment. And now I think that I don't have any passion for this game anymore. I can't able to figure out the reason why I chose badminton and what kept me going and sacrificing. Everything for this sport. I think that I should quit badminton because all I am doing is working against my feelings for this sport. But I can't quit because I committed to not quit I started at the age of 15 where my competitors started at age 6-7. I didn't even clear a district tournament

This video helped a lot, but I’m still struggling to figure out if I should quit gymnastics or not
    Reasons I should quit:
    Stress
    Depression
    Perfectionism
    School
    Theatre
    Clubs/homework
    Reasons I shouldn’t quit:
I might let my team down
I might let my parents down
    I need to stay fit
    My friendships
I don’t know what to do anymore

Letting down others is not a great reason to not quit. Staying fit is.

I was the most athletic guy in my class of 73 students. D1 level athlete 6'4" 185 lbs. I decided to quit after it was obvious that parents were paying for there kids to play over me. #googs

Suggest another activity to do - to stay active, such as running or fitness.
