Wow! I wish I'd have seen this last year because I dug up my lupins when they looked like that because I didn't like them. I didn't realise I could just cut them and get seeds out of them. I'll remember this for the future. It's been so useful thank you x
I recently asked the owner to collect some Lupin pods, as a got closer to the field of Lupins I could hear the whole field popping, perfect timing on my part to go then, a very hot day and they were all popping open to release their seeds, like WOW!
Found your channel after buying a lupin at the market and trying to figure out how to grow more, these videos are really helpful! Currently I’ve got some seeds in kitchen roll in a plastic bag and am hoping to grow and sell some as my summer “job” :)
Happy Sowing Happy Growing Thank you! I’ll keep you updated, it’s my first time growing a flower from seeds so my fingers are crossed it goes well and I’ve watched all your lupin videos so I know what to do :)
@@_Happysowinghappygrowing if i wait for the seeds to turn brown will they still be ok the stalks fell down in the wind and the pods are green i have kept them i was just wondering of they will still come up of i wait for them to dry off
I love lupins I was late at buying the plant this year they were beautiful red the bees absolutely love them they are so pretty. My question is I’ve cut them back today and took the furry pods off. I’ve popped open a couple and there is no seeds . I’m only new to gardening if anyone could point me in right direction . When’s best to put them in the soil do you just put them in where you want them to grow . Thank you 🌸
i wait until the seed pods turn black then you know that they are ready to harvest i have a video showing you how to collect the seeds i hope that you find it useful please let me know how you get on good luck 👍
Could I harvest the seeds from my lupins and then plant the seeds outside right away or would I need put the seeds into pots indoors to start them? I would love to add some colour to the flower beds in our estate thanks

I planted my first lupines this year. They were a beautiful yellow. The seeds in the dry pods are a white color so I am wondering if they are either not good, too early, or just a different color. Do you know?
