Congrats on the car. A 2011 R8 was my dream too. I finally bought a 2011 V10 Manual transmission R8 last year. More than I wanted to spend but they won’t be making manual V10’s ever again. If you want an auto R8, get a 2014 or newer. In 2014 they switched from the single clutch R-tronic to the dual clutch S-tronic

Thought about getting a Gen1 R8, ended up going with a C7 Z06 instead. The interior seemed a bit dated and the V8 is down on power in the modern era, but at least you won't eat the depreciation like me. Plus, its classier.

Last question and I’ll try to quit bothering you 😂- do these hold their resale value well? In essence if I have it few years and go to sell I won’t be taking too much of a bath so to speak. Ty again. Appreciate the insight.
