Just found and subscribed to your channel. Good video on the Carry-all. Kubota owner here as well. Looking forward to going through the vid list. Thanks for making them.
I have watched this video several times. I'm out of town, but I will go to Northern tool and order the frame and put one together when I get back. My kubota is a bx25d bought it new .3 hr.16 mo. old , now has 140 hr. Cut down 15 trees around 70' tall dug the stumps, I can't go fast but it will do the job if I take my time. We have a small place this is the right tractor for me .Could put a carry all to good use. I do use my seat belt. Even this small tractor has more hydraulic power than it has stability, things happen quick. Thanks! I have watched most of your videos they have all had something informative and interesting, keep them coming. Ed
This was the project that originally led me to Outdoors with the Morgans channel. I liked Mike's practical design and promptly copied it. It"s neat to look back and see how much progress Mike has made with equipment and with the channel. It's definitely one of my favorite channels today.
HEY BUTCH HERE FORM LA FIRST TIME TO COME THIS LOW DOWN ON YOUR SHOWS NUM 20 NOW WOW YALL COME A LONG WAY FROM 745 TO THEN I LOVE EVER ONE OF YOUR SHOWS AS ALWAYS HI MR HUNTER HELLO MRS MORGAN YOU HAVE A FULL PLATE ,LOVE YOU ALL
I dont know how i missed this video. This is the type of video that got me to your channel. Its crazy how things have evolved around Camp Morgan. It sure has changed but i still love the channel.
Still a classic build and worth the time to watch it again. Good reference for the proper build of a wood hauler for a three point hitch. AND you folks are still doing prime videos. Thanks for sharing and sharing and sharing ;-)
Just found your channel and have enjoyed watching your video series on cutting and stacking wood. I used to do a bunch of that as a kid growing up in the country. I sure miss that part of country life! The stacked wood fence looks great by the way. Look forward to watching future videos. All the best!
Just a thought but you might want to move your saw holder to the back side of the carry all, so when you have wood piled up it won't pinch the bar of the saw if you need to pull it out again
Outdoors With The Morgans if your chainsaw will hit your tractor mounted on outside where it is then mount on the outside on one of the sides of the carry all. A screwed up bar will ruin your day of cutting firewood
Yeah, that's probably even a better idea than my suggestion of extending the scabbard down farther, since you regain a little more room inside the carry all.
I use a variation on the same theme, I put 2x4's on the carryall and then the box is removable so I can use the carryall as a set of forks. I Have box blinds on legs that can be moved around my land. thanks for the video.
Great video and cool little tool carrier project! My brother and I have a 3 point pallet fork so we built a bunch of wood boxes that we can load with firewood, fence tools, ballast for loader work, etc. Many uses on a farm but we have a couple larger JD farm tractors with loaders. You will be amazed with the new traction and improved handling when you leave the woods with a load of firewood from now on!
You need a root grapple next. I just bought Blue Diamond's severe duty in a 84" but haven't used it long enough to recommend it. So far it's been one of the best attachments I've bought (root grapple in general)... but only if your Kubota has 3rd function. You can add one too.
I have a quick attach bucket on my kubota and I made my own forks to fit in place of the bucket. I usually try not to drag a down tree because I do not want the bark to pick up all the dirt, I then would have to cut through. I cut most of my wood in the same spot and after a while the saw dust gets pretty thick so when the bar touches the bed of sawdust it does not get into the dirt. I made the back frame for my forks out of 3 inch square tubing and for the forks I used a piece of 1/2 x4 for the top and 1/4 x4 for the bottom I cut a piece of 1/4 x3 on and angle and it is about 31 inches long. The forks are hollow and 3 inches thick in the back and 1/2 inch thick at the tip. My 3830 tractor has never bent them and I have hauled some pretty big logs, all that it could pick up. The only part I would have done different was I made the forks about 1 inch to wide and they will not fit a standard pallet. I like the carry all you built, I get a bunch of my firewood about a mile away and I haul the logs back home and cut them up. I have been thinking about building a set of forks for the back so I could haul 2 logs at the same time.
Well done video! Makes me want one. Would be great for fencing, feeding or whatever. The good thing is you can load stuff at ground level, then lift to transport!
Thanks for the video. I'm thinking of building something similar since the "Big Tool Rack" is way above my means. Is the KK carryall quick hitch compatible?
Nice little attachment. If you wanted to get more weight into it to help balance the loader when full, you could use concrete blocks in the base of that . A 6” layer of them would give you 500lbs additional counterbalance and you wouldn’t lose much carrying capacity from the attachment.
Nice job on the carry all build, arm chair quarterback time, you might want to consider running some 2x2 angle iron over the edge of your angle cut 2x10s. Run it from the floor all the way to your top board. It will give your boards some extra support besides the toe nailing and save the edges from getting beat up from the firewood being loaded up.
Is there a list of the parts used in putting it together? Bought my frame today and ready to get it going. Love your videos and ideas! Keep them coming!
I have been managing my land and doing firewood for myself and every year I take at least one big Oak. It rally opens up the canopy so other trees especially the young Oaks will grow at an unbelievable rate. I always make sure that there are younger Oaks around and I will transplant some to that area that are very small even the small ones have deep tap roots. I also fence them until they are large enough that the deer won't kill them. Large Oaks consume tremendous amounts of water. And they make the best heat ever!!!
You know I looked at mine yesterday and there is a little gap between boards now. That treated lumber we get around here is soaked and shrinks some when it dries
Did you make that so it would fit in the ranger?? For the 3-point I’m wondering why you didn’t go wider? You alway should leave a 1/4” between the boards so they can breath. Even treated will rot. Looks great though.
I watched your video , I have the 3901 , that's a great attachment , I did see that you chained the tree up to the bucket as to not cut on the ground, I bought myself a Grapple and 3rd function so I just pick them up with the grapple and can cut them without having to mess with dragging them out if I don't need to .
I know it's a matter of personal opinion, but I love those Orange tractors! I gotta B2620 with the front loader and backhoe attachment. Paid for itself on a lot projects around the home where I would have had to hire someone else to do it for me. It's limited on what it can and can't do, but is more than versatile enough to be practical.
I have the same setup as you. A B2620 with a backhoe. Very powerful little machine for its size. I bought my tractor new, and already have 800 hours on it. Probably more than half of those were running the backhoe, digging out stumps/trees and drainage ditches. Like you, there's no way I could afford to pay someone to do it, and the best part is, on I get to do it on my own time. And I'd rather do things myself, even if it takes longer, rather than have someone else do it. I agree, it has its limitations, but there are always ways around them. I dug out stumps and boulders half the size of the tractor. It's doable, but takes a bit longer. I also bought forks from EverythingAttachments. Seems like I use the forks way more than the bucket. They're perfect for moving trees, and especially brush piles. Stick the forks underneath or in the middle of the pile, curl, and away you go. If you have forks, get yourself a stack of pallets, palletize, and then everything is a breeze to move around. Firewood, other attachments, anything that you can put on a pallet. The forks were a little pricey, but it was the best $700 I ever spent.
Dawid Cyrta I've been considering a set of forks for my tractor as well. Did you get a pin on set of forks , or the skid- steer quick attach? I have been looking at both the kubota quick attack and the new ssqa made by Kubota. susposedly the ssqa for the LA504 is a direct bolt on for the LA364. You loose some lifting capacity with the ssqa, but I believe versatility would pay off in the long run.
Yes, the pin spacing on the 364 is the same as on the 504. That's how I ended up with the 60 inch "light material" bucket on the 2620. The forks I got are pin on. I'll be making my own pin on quick attach based on the Kubota model, but I'll make it much shorter. I don't need to space the bucket or forks out another 4 inches and lose a ton of lifting capacity the way the Kubota one does. I already have the bucket and forks as pin on, so I really don't want to cut up both of those and convert to SSQA and add a bunch of weight to everything. If you plan on getting or borrowing SSQA buckets or other attachments, then it might be worthwhile for you to go that route. I'm sticking with the pin on mainly to save weight. And also I want to avoid the work and costs of reworking my bucket and forks to SSQA. The choice is yours.
Love the Orange tractors. Just inherited my dads 2001 L3010 with FEL and 5 foot brush hog and box blade. Has 220 hours on it, he bought it new mainly to play with after retirement (isn't that what they are for?) after running a Farmall Cub for 40 years that he bought nearly new back in '59. Wish I still had the Cub as well, as far as old tractors go with belly mowers, it's hard to beat the old Cubs when cutting something large that you want to look pretty...
I've got the same tractor and don't think I couldn't live without since owning it.Nice work! If it had a pocket for a one gallon fuel can and bar oil it'd be perfect. Although, I guess you could just throw that stuff into the front bucket.
Late to the party here, I'll comment anyways. Slick little 3PH work cart. I will invest in a set of JD quick attach forks for the 990 eventually, been saying this for (16) years now! I typically drag my trees out in a similar fashion using a cross bar with a hook. I would prefer to cut the tree into shorter lengths 1st & pick them up with the forks & bring over to the cutting area, thus avoiding dragging the tree through the dirt for the chainsaw does not like dirt one bit! I also carry a stiff bristle brush at all times to wipe the dirt off before setting my chain into it. You have some mighty big oaks on your property too! Enjoyed the presentation. Bill on the Hill... :~)
I've seen small 3 pt steel boxes for a similiar price point. Not decrying your solution, i think yours allows greater customisation. I bought a 6ft metal transport box its great for moving my tools to where i am working (Say re-fencing) i can put my Dewalt iStak in it plus extras, a little shelter tent, gas bottle and cooker and work out there a few days doing a 500m of fencing at the other end of the farm. I usually dump the box, and pop back to pick up the post driller.
I was going to suggest the same thing others did about mounting saw on outside but additionally I would make a scabbard on either the side or the 3pt hitch side of the back board to put an axe in it. And maybe even a small tray for some felling wedges and saw scrench and couple files. Other than that great idea and design thumbs up!
Nice idea. I was going to weld up a removable extension to the bucket to haul firewood but I like your idea better. I may do both! But to cut up all that nice hardwood for firewood.... It's a cryin' shame when it could be milled into lumber.
Nice setup. I keep meaning to do the same thing with the carry all frame I have that's just sitting around doing nothing. One thing: have you considered extending the scabbard part of the chainsaw holder down farther to protect the whole bar from the wood banging against it?
Yeah I am sure we will use it a lot. We are going to be doing a lot of mulch and compost stuff for our gardens. Thought we could load it up and have the bucket on the other end loaded at the same time to save a few trips.
Great video. Thanks for taking the time to film it. Inspiring stuff for me. I take it you rate that make of tractor - has it been good overall? Thanks.
Mike, Have you seen the Carry All that Wilson Outdoors has 4 videos on here? I styled mine after theirs. One tip I have for ya. Cut some 2x4's and screw them to the tops of your saw horses. I have the same ones. Makes a sacrificial board for the top of your saw horses. Really saves your saw blades.
Nice subject, sweet little 3-point carrier and good video editing - what's not to like. I noticed how organized you place appeared - --> you mean its not a requirement to be messy and sloppy when you live in the country? We are like minded - but sometimes get chastised for being clean and organized. I have a similar base for a 3 pt. attachment - never got around to completing it - other priorities arose. I did just complete a really sweet little snow plow to attach to my FEL on our similarly sized Kioti tractor - will be putting up a set of videos on our relentless homesteading channel about it. Also I Mad-Maxed the FEL for more rigidity and am finishing constructing a top for the tractor (cover part from the center of a free steel camper shell picked up on Craig's list). ... Before moving to the country my wife and I never imagined HOW INCREDIBLY USEFUL, ...No more than that - ITS actually NECESSARY for getting all the work done around here. Wish I'd started a VLOG then on 100 things to use your tractor for.
I added a comment to your #17 video that will work for this or rear attachment, this is a really cool box for tractor work but you are still handling the wood so much and I did it as well when I was younger but you will get tired of all the handling of the wood, I suggest you look at my comment on your video #17.
Started out that way, then realized I wanted the weight inside the carryall not in the carryall itself, so I removed all the heavy pressure treated 2x8s and replaced it with plywood.
I like yours, but I made mine a little differently. I made a self standing box and didn't attach it to the carry all. I mounted blocks and casters on the bottom, and I can slide under it and lift it, and can set it down and roll it in my garage. I did this, so I could slide my carry all under long logs and use it to carry them across a field, and to raise them to waist height for cutting. It's also nice to rack a bunch of limb wood on and haul it out in length instead of cutting it up in the woods. Balance point can be difficult on long logs, and you have to cut one or two billets off one side then go to the other side or the log will hit you in the chin. Wheeling the box around in the garage is nice though. Wouldn't be hard to modify yours if you're interested.
Great attachment idea! Why not cut up logs in place so you don't have to drag tree stump through the dirt collecting dirt and rocks in the bark shortening the chainsaw blade life.
Very nice and think I'll be pilfering the idea! 😈😁 I have been using my RTV900xt which works for small loads but this is much better when it's a "bigen". I've had some large Poplars to deal with and this would have saved trips let alone back! Thanks! One question, on the saw holder, any particular reason you put the bar on the inside of the carry all? I was thinking of one modification and that is to make a wooden holster for the outside of were you have yours. I'm thinking it would protect the bar and chain while not impeding the stacked load on that end.
If I were to put it on the backside near the tractor it would hit the tractor when I lift the 3 point all the way up. Then I thought about on the sides but didn't want to risk catching a tree with it. It doesn't take up much room on the inside so thats where it ended up.
Thank you for responding! From the video, cannot tell the distance particularly if you had 3 point all the way up. Of course, you would know as you have it in practice. Thank you for the video and Carry-all on order from Rural King! 😤
Hi from Tasmania, love this idea, I think I have the same size Tractor as you, and my Carry All arrives today, which I'll be modifying, as I want to see about mounting a tow hitch so I can drag my 40tonne wood splitter with me so I can split and put the logs straight into the carryall and spots for storing my chainsaw, fuel and spare chains. I'm also playing with the idea of being about to mount a 1000 litre tank with an open side to put the wood into, then I can fork that off the carryall and store it. I can the tanks pretty cheap so I may do that with a few of them so I have enough firewood over winter. Now to spend a little time checking out your other videos. Also, If you thought of it before, the Cherry you cut up could be sold to the woodcraft market, wood turners like myself would certainly purchase some from you, and put a little money in your pocket.
We are in Western Pennsylvania, about 30 miles North of Pittsburgh. It's funny you say that because I feel the same about the West lol. Last year I visited, Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, Utah, Idaho, and others and it's beautiful. This September planning a trip to Yosemite. We do like it here and are fortunate to have a good chunk of land. Buying land when we first got married is the only thing my wife will openly admit I was right about in 25 years of marriage lol.

Liked this idea for a cheap attachment!
Like the sides you put on and especially the blocking for your chainsaw. Cool idea. Beautiful property. Thanks for the video.
Thanks Lauri!
Oh man.. I never thought about using the bucket on my BX to lift the log to chop it up... nice idea! I'm stealing that!
Nice attachment addition for your Tractors very useful!! 👊
Still a classic build and worth the time to watch it again. Good reference for the proper build of a wood hauler for a three point hitch. AND you folks are still doing prime videos. Thanks for sharing and sharing and sharing ;-)
This implement is probably the one I'd use most often! Now all I need is to purchase a tractor😁😁😁
That is a nice project and you did a great job building that carry all. If I had a wood heater, something like that would be perfect around my place.

You need a root grapple next. I just bought Blue Diamond's severe duty in a 84" but haven't used it long enough to recommend it. So far it's been one of the best attachments I've bought (root grapple in general)... but only if your Kubota has 3rd function. You can add one too.
Grapple is on my wish list, probably next attachment
cool setup, like your videos keep them coming

Awesome!!! I'm glad you did a video on this. I was wondering where you had gotten it. Keep up the great work producing quality videos.
Great piece of property you have there.
Thanks Mark, Where you from?
We live in Seattle, I can appreciate how much time it takes to keep up your property, we have 2 different places in eastern Washington to keep up.
Just uploaded vid on why I chose orange

Dawid Cyrta I've been considering a set of forks for my tractor as well. Did you get a pin on set of forks , or the skid- steer quick attach? Yes, the pin spacing on the 364 is the same as on the 504. That's how I ended up with the 60 inch "light material" bucket on the 2620. The forks I got are pin on. I'll be making my own pin on quick attach based on the Kubota model, but I'll make it much shorter. I don't need to space the bucket or forks out another 4 inches and lose a ton of lifting capacity the way the Kubota one does. I already have the bucket and forks as pin on, so I really don't want to cut up both of those and convert to SSQA and add a bunch of weight to everything. Enjoy your video, soon will be Kubotas owner, in process relocate from WI to AR to enjoy a little warmer winter
Very nice, a little warmer for sure. You know what model Kubota you are getting?
Outdoors With The Morgans I am not sure what's model I will get yet all depends how large the land I will get something like 10 to 30 aces
The chainsaw mount is awesome!
Thanks Mark,
I can't believe this was 6 years ago. It feels like it was not that long ago...
Enjoyed the video, looking forward to following your channel!
Thanks, I appreciate it

I would have the saw exposed to the front side as not to damage the bar and chain with the load. you could hang a split maul/ax etc on the front also.
I thought of that but the power head would hit tractor when 3 point raised all the way
I've seen small 3 pt steel boxes for a similiar price point.
Great video. You happen to have the model for the base attachment you started with?
I was going to suggest the same thing others did about mounting saw on outside but additionally I would make a scabbard on either the side or the 3pt hitch side of the back board to put an axe in it. And maybe even a small tray for some felling wedges and saw scrench and couple files.
Other than that great idea and design thumbs up!
Just discovered your channel, great project here. I noticed that you used the same musical intro as Abom 79, great sound.
You could put two vertical 2x2s on the front side 42" apart. Then mount the Artillian rack stuff. Could hold tools, shovels, axes, etc.
Nice idea. I was going to weld up a removable extension to the bucket to haul firewood but I like your idea better. I may do both! But to cut up all that nice hardwood for firewood.... It's a cryin' shame when it could be milled into lumber.
We are spoiled with hardwoods here, Thats not the good stuff lol
Nice setup. I keep meaning to do the same thing with the carry all frame I have that's just sitting around doing nothing. One thing: have you considered extending the scabbard part of the chainsaw holder down farther to protect the whole bar from the wood banging against it?
Mike, maybe you should consider "weeding out" the Oak trees, and letting the Cherry trees flourish. Just a thought.
I may be prejudice but I still like the good old L3901 days!!!!
Great job! Just got our Kubota B2650! Was looking at the very same attachment. Can't wait to put it together.
Terry
Terry, I use it all the time for something, I'm sure you will as well
Yeah I am sure we will use it a lot.
Thanks.
So far so good
Mike, Have you seen the Carry All that Wilson Outdoors has 4 videos on here? I styled mine after theirs. One tip I have for ya. Cut some 2x4's and screw them to the tops of your saw horses. I have the same ones. Makes a sacrificial board for the top of your saw horses. Really saves your saw blades.
Nicely done.
Great video. Seems very useful to have.
You need a small portable sawmill Mike. You certainly have the trees for one.
On my wish list
WOOD DUCK heaven with all those acorns and that pond. That's some GOOOOOOOD eaten!
Unhook top link to bump load.
My cary box is also a tipover box it sits on fork lift tines
found it! nice job Morgan
have you considered using the carry all as a set of forks for the rear and using old pallets to make mobile wood racks?
Good job!
Great idea! Guess I missed the part where you purchased the frame for $300. Could you tell me? Thanks. Jim.
James Eippert the frame is about 140 from rural king
How are you supporting the side pieces? Are the ones on top screwed into the one below it?
Do u still have your carryall? Use mine all the time. Thanks for the recommendation!
Just picked up the metal frame but can you tell me what size amounts of 2 x 6 or 8 or 10 amounts to make up the base and the back?
Awesome job
like your videos keep making videos i like your tractor to and your ranger
That was a great invention I love it, I will make me one too.
Great videos! Where did you buy the frame? Thanks!
Hunter Hollow Farms, Rural King
Good vid. Just wondering how heavy the 3pt can hold?
I added a comment to your #17 video that will work for this or rear attachment, this is a really cool box for tractor work but you are still handling the wood so much and I did it as well when I was younger but you will get tired of all the handling of the wood, I suggest you look at my comment on your video #17.
dpower02 I looked for comment on 17 and not seeing it yet. I will check it out when I get home today
Add some square iron tubing or angle iron on the sides so they don't push out.
Oaks are beautiful trees.
do you have a quick connect for your 3-point....if not you should, especially since you have several implements.
That cherry wood makes for great smoking of trout, salmon and turkey.
Great video!
Great work, all I would suggest is that you mount the chainsaw on the front of the box so you don't risk damage to the bar when loaded. I'll subscribe
I actually thought about building one just like yours. But decided to get a set of quick attach forks for the loader instead.
Gonna do it!
Great carry all!
Great attachment idea! Why not cut up logs in place so you don't have to drag tree stump through the dirt collecting dirt and rocks in the bark shortening the chainsaw blade life.
Sweet build, I would have put the saw holder to the outside on the side. That way the box area is open to stack whatever your hauling.
Others suggested that as well
do you like your industrial tires? or do you wish you would of gotten ag?
How long, before you started wanting /needing a grapple?
Very nice and think I'll be pilfering the idea! 😈😁
I have been using my RTV900xt which works for small loads but this is much better when it's a "bigen".
I like the music. Can't remember where i have heard it before..
i like it alot!! thanks for the idea!
Nice one. Good wood management going on there.
What about some kind of scabbard for the saw?
Cool vids man!
What size bolts did you use for this and angle of cut?
rock on mister!
I just stumbled upon your channel. Looks like Paradise there!! What state do you live in?
I am held captive on the Left Coast in California 😟
We are in Western Pennsylvania, about 30 miles North of Pittsburgh. It's funny you say that because I feel the same about the West lol. Last year I visited, Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, Utah, Idaho, and others and it's beautiful. This September planning a trip to Yosemite. We do like it here and are fortunate to have a good chunk of land. Buying land when we first got married is the only thing my wife will openly admit I was right about in 25 years of marriage lol.
Awesome!!!
