Times back then were different. When the OG‘s were talking everybody was quiet and listening. Nowadays everybody wants attention and keeps breaking up the conversation. That‘s respect right there.
Hawk jumped on Screw later, Pat, 3-2, Keke, ESG, Botany, were first out the gate, 3-2 technically was a heavy hitter in the rap game, so he had rank even on Bun B... but a Hawk interview would have been good...🤘🏿
It says alot about Bun B being an outsider to h town and not realizing why Mr 3-2 had these guys around him, not just for them being giants but eventually legendary in Texas culture!
@@Humble_7_7 it wasn’t that Bun was an outsider. Never that. UGK did a whole screw tape with Screw to promote the Ridin Dirty album 2 years before this even came on rap city. They knew all about the Houston scene and helped shape it. They were on 3-2’s wicked Buddha Baby album back then. It had more to do with Hawk really not being a major player at that time. He hadnt really done anything major at that time so there was nothing to really ask him. His first album didn’t come out until maybe 2-3 years after this interview.
@@showofhands8214 ya DEA was around the beginning time they formed in like 94 just didn’t drop that album till 97 or 98. Hawk been around. RIP 🙏🏼 my favorite was Hawk
Yea I remember this on rap city. Recorded it on VHS and lost it lol. Everybody did you see Mr. 3-2 (R.I.P)diss Northside H-Town and Mike Watts, but Bun-B brought the conversation back talking about “bodyrock, southside 2 step”lol...
Oh for sure, not everybody slowing it down is Screw (DJ SCREW)..lol Back then it was Northside vs Southside.. n us Southsiders are hella proud.. N how about him setting it straight about the west leeching our southern n his style.. Since he didn't stay over there, n DJ SCREW recommending everyone stay independent HTX got black balled..

yeah 3-2 the man! droppin knowledge, would have liked 2 c him release more somethin on DR can you imagine that west coast and southside collaboration would have been dope but 'wicked budda baby' is a str8 classic...The good ol days man i see hawk on the right there this is dope, so many classics put out in the 90s in houston and they were all spitting the real..Its kind of sad 2 watch this but it reminds of you what the real rap/hiphop was. Thanks 4 the upload.
I was disappointed that Bun didn't have Big Hawk speak considering he was also SUC and Fat Pat was his brother. Especially with this being so close to his death. One of the things I've noticed as I've been down the rabbit hole of watching SUC/Houston Hip Hop videos is that H.A.W.K was liked by the majority of the folks in their community. RIP all of these guys. Gone way too soon.
