I bought an Apex regulator with you guys a few years ago and love it. However, because it is a DIN, I bought an adapter (from another store) so I could use it overseas. Arriving at my destination, I found out that the knob screw was too short for any cylinder yoke valve they had (Caribbean). Luckily, the bolt had an extra regulator and we switched the yoke screws for a regular length one. I’m not familiar with yoke cylinder valves, so I wonder if they come in more than one size or if it was an oversight of the manufacturer.
    Cheers.

Hi VOV, Interesting question but it's true there are various, let's call it thicknesses, of valves. Especially over the years, MFG's and world locations that could account for your issue.
There's also slight differences in the design of "A Clamps" also known as Yokes where the top has bigger / wider shoulders.
There are also Yoke Screws where the inside of the Cap has various depths to contact the top /shoulders of the A Clamp.
Without having direct access to the gear, kinda hard for me to point at the exact problem. Thanks for your question. Regards Bob C

Hello from the UK! Thanks Bob - I love your videos. What size is the allen key to remove the insert in the valve? is its a standard size globally or does it differ? Thanks

Hey Steve in the UK, loved my time there in South Hampton... anyway it might be an 8mm or a 6mm depends on the valve MFG. Regards Bob C

Being new I can save money with DIN regulator and have high pressure capacity when I need it. I like the strenght 10:11 of that DINconnection & weight reduction. Looking at the Aqualung as first 10:11 about $499 for both stages. Please advise!

Hey Steve, The DINs are very good and preferred by lots of divers, It's best if you keep a DIN to Yoke Adapter in your kit just in case you run into a Yoke Tank Only situation.... Regards Bob C

Hi Bob. At the end of Dec I purchased a Catalina 80cf Tank from Divers Supply. Had it filled at my Semi Local Shop. Only thing I was surprised is that it didn't come with a Dust Cap. I purchased that while I was there. Unfortunately I haven't had a chance to get it wet yet. But did Practice setting up my Kit. Checked my Regs and BCD for malfunction. I was recently OW Certified in Aug 23. Waiting for the AOW Class to be scheduled.

Hey Chris, Thanks for sharing and yes the Alum tanks normally don't come with Valve covers or tank boots. You'll see rubber boots as standard on the steel tanks. Always nice to have your own tanks. Regards Bob C

@@DiversSupplyYT The only real issue I had was the UPS Delivery. They weren't allowed to Hold the Tank so I can pick up. I was afraid of it being Damaged or Stolen off the porch.
