Thank you for video. I watched 2 other videos before yours and was thinking that it sounds complicated 😅 After watching yours I’m definitely going to try it. To the point Thank you 😊
Thank you for sharing your knowledge with others ❤ This has always seemed intimidating and im just not getting into it in earnest, and your videos and insruction really help my overwhelmed brain ❤❤❤
♥️🥹 thank youuu, I’ve seen a couple people in my town making cinnamon rolls with sour dough and I’ve been so curious on making my own- a lot of trial and error so far until I’ve seen your vids about hydration ratio and now yayayaya a tutoriallll; thank you🥲🫶
T hi is is am awesome beginner video and THANK YOU for showing how to do this without all the sourdough specific items. I hate spending money on something until I can tell that I’m going to enjoy it
Once you have a starter it’s good to know that it needs to age some. You can still make bread with it but it tends to be a bit finicky so don’t think you are the reason. The first weeks to several months think of it like a teenager 😉
As long as your dough exists in any capacity at room temp for around 8ish hours, you can bake it. As long as you do a few s&f within those hours, you can bake it. As long as you form your dough into a ball in any capacity, you can bake it. Any extra steps or time SIMPLY EXISTS FOR TEXTURE/ART PREFERENCES. You *may* develop a little bit more sour flavor with a longer proof/overnight proof but its almost unnoticeable when its all buttered up with dinner. #makebreadsimpleagain
Great video!!!😊 I'm a newbie. What is this starter? Do you buy it or make it yourself? What is the recipe and tools used to make starter (if you make starter)??? THANKS
Thanks for adding plenty of details many videos do not have them, and I need all the details I can get LOL I have successfully made sourdough and it is delicious just curious I don't ever use any special baskets or anything like that what kind of towel was it you had I never use a towel because I'm always afraid there's going to be hairs or fuzz or something on it
I'm new to sourdough. I've tried to make a few, and I'm not happy with the results. My dough is usually too wet because I can't shape it. This is after all my fold and stretches. The second problem I'm having is that the bottom of my bread is too hard. Help!!!!
Maybe the problem is in your placement. Try putting it higher in the oven or maybe see if an extra baking tray(or anything like that, tbh) with nothing on it underneath helps!
Question: I’m looking at your recipe for making sourdough in one day. I’m new to all of this, and I was wondering why we start the night before with the starter. I asked because I’m off and up quite early, around 5 AM, and I feed my starter then. Within four hours it’s ready. I tested a spoonful to see if it floated, and it did. Would that be OK? Or should I stick with feeding the night before?
I’m am very new at bread making but never to old to learn something new! I’m a 69 years old country girl! My question is this! I live in my grandma house! So it’s old n drafty n usually kinda chilly! Where n how do I do my dough for it to rise right! Doesn’t it have to be kinda warm for it to rise right? Please help with this issue! Thanks so much!
Yes the yeast love warmth! You could put it in the oven with the light on or they sell warming proofing mats online if that doesn’t work! Congrats on learning sourdough, you will love it, it’s so much fun!
My dough rose excellent in the fridge but the stuck to the towel in the fridge and couldn't get it out of the bowl layer without the top sticking- ruined the whole loaf and it went flat.
I just finished the dough today, it’s a bit tougher than shown in the video but hopefully it will turn out fine. I’ll be baking the bread in the morning, I’ll comment when I’m done.
The bread was really doughy and tough but I’m 100% sure it’s my fault, I used half cups instead of full cups so I probably put in 9 half cups by accident when all I needed was 8. I’m making another one and the dough looks so much better already
@@IRllyLikeDeathSitter oh no! Keep me updated! If your dough ever looks too dry you can add more water than the recipe calls for. It’ll vary depending on your climate and home temp!
Interesting all the difft channels and how they teach sourdough bread making. many of the european channels i watch don't wait 30, they wait an hour. in the end, almost same result but it's fascinating to me...
You are an excellant teacher, this is the simplest, most practical, straight forward instruction I have watched so far, thank you. 👍🏻😊
@@sarahblue1914 this is so sweet, thank you!! ❤️

A plate of happiness! This meal is a testament to culinary perfection.
Tried this recipe for my first loaf, and it came out ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! This is going to be my go to recipe for bread! Soo yummy!

You are so welcome! More to come! ❤
Ok, but how do I make a starter????
Right?! 😂 help
in a jar, add 1 tbsp of flour, and 1 tbsp of water, everyday, for 7 days
😅 The easiest way is to get some from a friend. They'll be happy to give you some, because they have to discard often.

THANK YOU for this video!!
Looks like you only bulked fermented for an hour on the counter? How did it double in a hour?
Here for the answer you may never get. It also doesn’t even look sticky 😮
Great recipe! The muscle mommy tank is powerful 😂💪🏻
Thank you! Lol

Why does it look underproofed. The crust doesn’t look right or something.
Do you have a recipe on how to make the sourdough starter?
How old is your starter? Those were some great holes in the bread!
Do you have easy brioche recipe❤?

What if you tear the doe as we're stretching it?

Yes that is totally fine! I just made it the night before to keep the timing simple for this video!
Is your cloth always damp or dry?
Instead of a bowl can I use a proofing basket in the fridge
Yes if you have one, that’s best to use!

@@MuscleMommaSourdough thank you for advice!
But how do you make starter?
Yes... it's not a full receipe
My dough rose excellent in the fridge but the stuck to the towel in the fridge and couldn't get it out of the bowl layer without the top sticking- ruined the whole loaf and it went flat.
That looks great! Would all purpose flour work?
You could use all purpose but it has a lower protein content than bread flour which can make your loaf more dense and have smaller bubbles inside.
@@MuscleMommaSourdough Oh, that’s good to know. Thanks!

How to make a starter
Hi can you add the starter recipe and bread recipe in grams too please? Thanking you. Patricia
Do you have a good starter recipe?
Coming soon!
But you do not know how to make yeast that is not sour, and has enough potency to fully bloom the dough in 30 minutes, as apposed to 1 or 2 hours. 🧐
