Quick Leather Lighter Case Build!
We use cheap lighters to melt thread ends on our leather wallets and they keep disappearing! So we decided to make a leather lighter case by hand to keep our lighters hanging up where we know to grab them. Leather lighter cases are super super easy to make - you can make them by hand with a few square inches of scrap leather.
We used natural vegetable tanned leather and some poly threads, which we sewed by hand. Hand sewn pieces are always great to use every day, especially when the hand sewn pieces are out of vegetable tanned leather. Making a vegetable tanned leather lighter case is a great simple project and makes an often used tool that much more accessible and beautiful in the shop. - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต

This will be the first thing I try to make as I am a beginner. Then I will go for a couple leather belts to focus on learning sewing and the movements before I most likely progress to a wallet.

Well well well some nice tips and things to learn here, when I put on ma leather, and rock to sum Metallica, Delta Parole, Foo Fighters or the Smashing Pumpkins I feel like I can do anything in the whole wide world.

Hi, I have watched a few leather working videos recently and have a couple of questions, if you don’t mind. What is the benefit of hammering the glued edges of the leather? How do you sharpen the tools like the bevelling tool you used?

Made practically the same, however the metal capof the lighter was behind the sleeve so I could not use it flattening the cut off thread 😳
I have been making similar ones from a cheap Horse front I have and been handing them out as advertising.
