      I feel your pain. I wear a 6.5 and find it hard to even try on any new pairs in a store as this size is never in stock. My last two pairs had to be ordered and shipped to my local store. If only shoemakers put as much effort into making a durable well-fitting work boot for women as they do all the sparkly glitz and glamor shoes we'd probably be in a lot better situation with our feet in industrial and wildland workspaces.

    I do like hearing women's opinion on our boots. We want to look cute when we work. But a man's opinion is valiable at least for me. These guys out there working they know the brands and how they're constructed. If you need arch support they're going to tell you which one is the best. The boot guy helped me pick up my best workboot which was the Carolina Steel toe loggers. I've got 2 pears I love them so much. They're beautiful incredibly well made and comfortable for a 12 hour shift. Though I'm not in that industry anymore I'm still looking for a really cute boot and I thought about going with a Soft toe logger. I do wish I saw your video while I was in the industry as the more dressy boot that's also safety would have been right at my alley. And I didn't see anything like that.

    The keens are what I’ve been wearing for the last 5+ years for 12-16 hour days and they are great for ppl with problems with plantar fasciitis as well. Unfortunately I need to switch to a slip on boot due to entanglement policy 😅 but I’m looking for keen comfort now in a different boot.

    must be non slip
    must be brown or black
    must be able to shine
    must lace up
    can be low or high top
    Which I can't find anything out there that is comfortable on top of the requirements. Haaalp 😭😭😭😭😭

    I usually buy mens steel toes, that beginning pretty much explains why I am have so much foot pain on the bottom and sides of my feet bc this time around I bought a womens pair of timberland steel toed boots. Now my question is as I have worn them 3 times at work leave in a 🐧 motion because my feet are swollen, how do I get that pain to decrease! I have tried all my home remedies, however, even though they work about half through my shift they still hurt and are more swollen. I don't know what to do! Please help!😔😭

    • @AllySafety
      @AllySafety  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That sounds awful! Do you normally wear a wider than average shoe or is it possible this boot is narrower than others? My mom has the same issue with a lot of shoes and will specifically find shoes that come in different widths. I know some women’s work boots do and Keen’s especially tend to be wider than average without getting a specific width so maybe try a Keen. As your foot gets a little larger during a long workday, that extra roominess may really help with comfort. 🥾

    Hi. I am a 53-year-old female who works on transit buses as a mechanic/technician. I am looking for a steel toe, wide-toebox shoe or boot (not a wide shoe/boot; but a wide toe box) for women that is a smooth surface that could be cleaned from all the oils and grime and not something with all kind of textured cloth patterns to it.
    Black is preferred since they are going to become black from all the oils and greases.
    Do you know of anything such as this ***without*** pattern cloth and textures. They are impossible to clean.
    Black leather is best. Any color leather is better than suede or other materials.

    • @AllySafety

    With the Ariat boot how did it run ? Was it big or “true to size” ? Also, compared to the steel toe Docs which is more comfortable ? I definitely will still be getting a insole but I need ankle support as well . Thanks xo .

    • @AllySafety
      @AllySafety  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I felt like Ariat were true to size for me and were more comfortable but only if you like a loose fit. The Docs are better when you need more support in the ankle like if you walk a lot, are on uneven ground, or if you climb ladders or up and down equipment. Hope that helps!

      @@carmena1479 Yeah, it's not what the body was built for! If that's the issue, I'd say also watch my video on safety shoes since they have safety toes but more of a tennis shoe style and can offer more cushioning than the average boot. Xena Omegas have a lot of cushioning in a boot style. But your best bet is find a great fit and then get some supportive insoles. At least, that's what helped me.

    I heard some of the best steel toe boots for women, that are the most durable, comfortable and stylish are the following: 1. Wolverine Floorhand 6" Waterproof Steel Toe Boot. 2. Timberland Pro Direct Attach Steel Toe. 3. Ariat Women's 6" Treadfast Steel Toe. The best and most popular color for all these is the dark brown boots. These have become the most highly sought after Steel Toe boots for women, not only just for work but have even become fashionable, especially for the fall and winter months.

    I like this video but I wish you had listed more options that look similar to a boot like a doc marten or a timberland. I want a pair of boots that look similar to docs but are less expensive and are good for working in. An issue I have run into with my docs is that the tread is completely run down and even when they were new the tread wasn’t very reliable.
    An issue that I’m seeming to run into a-lot is that I prefer how men’s shoes look but they aren’t very comfy :( I had this issue when I was looking for snow boots too.

    Don't care about ugly or "style" . I care about function/ does it work in the given setting, form/not painful to wear and durability. A well seasoned boot expert fit me into a pair of Chippewa service boots that they issue to new law enforcement, fire, and search and rescue personnel and these boots gave me superpowers in the wildlands. I could dash up a rough steep slope with the agility of a mountain goat. I left my companions in the dust whereas before the boots I stumbled along painfully ( knees and back ankles killing me) struggling to keep up with the others. Getting the right shoes fit to your feet can be miraculous. I had tried many brands before these with no success. Doc martin, timberland, keen, nike and others. I wanted to add they have protection for the toes but it's not steel it's some other material the will not cook your feet like the steel and other metals will if you're in a wildfire setting.

    • @bookbeing
      @bookbeing 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@rac6212 I wish I had a good answer for you. unfortunately Chippewa was sold and the new owners have opted to move their production outside the United States. I noticed a huge difference in the second pair I ordered after the first pair were looking a bit worn out. The second pair didn't fit me anything like the first ones. They were heavy, the seams and materials felt bulky and lacked the form fitting design i really enjoyed in my first pair. my back and my knees and my feet kill me after wearing the new ones and supposedly they were the same exact brand model style number . The seasoned salesman I originally worked with who sadly retired when I went back for my second pair, at the boot Barn said These boots are the standard issued to the new wildland fire fighting teams when they begin their training. I think they use materials inside the boot for toe protection but it's not made out of metal because of the fire risk because the steel can get hot and cuz burn injuries and other problems during a fire. I spoke to a forrester friend recently and he too found this brand was fitting him badly since they moved production overseas. He said he really likes the comfort and fit in boots made by a company called "White" and I think they are in oregon. They are a bit pricey. The chips are around $300 and I think the whites are around $500. But I found as I get older the extra money for the shoe is worth it if it keeps me going and mobile with minimal pain. Hope you can find a boot that will fit you well 🌞. I'm going to try the white label out hopefully I can find them on sale and fitting perfectly! Just in case My first Chippewa made in usa boot has a vibram stamp on the soles and a batted burgundy backing on the back side of the tongue of the boot. Maybe you can get your feet into one of the new old stock.

    In the shoes worn, are you wearing them barefoot or with pantyhose?

    • @AllySafety
      @AllySafety  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Spoodoc usually normal socks, unless they are low, then ankle socks.

    Have you reviewed the Ariat Casey Metguard?

    • @AllySafety

      I haven't but I actually want to try more of Ariat's safety shoes and I haven't looked at a metatarsal guard one yet. Thanks - I'll check into these!

    Hello
    thank you for your explanations, but there is no test on site, you are walking on a carpet, which does not represent a professional situation (slippery floor / nail / abrasive material)

      Yeah, most places I work don’t allow filming.

      I agree! I was so disappointed! Luckily, there are some pretty cool new boots out on the market this year to make up for it.

    I want steel toes boots that aren’t so bulky

      I’d definitely take a look at the Xena Workwear Omegas then. They’re lightweight and comfortable.
      If you like them, our coupon code helps with the cost as well.

    It’s not even that videos are done by men. They recommend boots that don’t come in smaller sizes.

    these are not what i need as a construction worker in all weather and i do not view these shoes as work boots ..i am very disappointed that once again there is no good advise for us hard working women as to a decent affordable safety work boot

      What features are you looking for? Some of the new styles that came out this year are really good for more rugged environments.

      I have driven trucks, forklifts, excavators, and bobcats. I have carried buckets of concrete, changed oil on pump jacks, peeled logs, and done endless hours of manual labor. I paid for college myself and have now been in professional safety for 8 years. I work 6, often 7 days a week to do my normal work and make this channel a reality. So please, let me know what qualifications I’m lacking to produce a video on women’s work shoes because I hope that’s what this is about and not just another surface-level judgement where one woman tries to tear down without knowing her story.

    Thank you... I appreciate this video.. it was necessary because I love my feet, I love wearing heels and am now working in a factory job side that are requiring steel toe and honestly it’s the most painful pair I’ve ever worn. It was the quickest way to get myself a pair at a localWalmart and the most thing I’m mainly concerned about at bunions.. 8’ going my ex resides but that only works for so long I work 6days a night and it’s gotten painful. Pls allow me to know if the shoes you recommend aren’t going to rub along the side of the toe/foot and cause me any bunions?... 😷🙏🙏🤧

      Hi Bell! That sounds rough! Have you tried either wider shoes or more flexible fabrics? I have another video on safety toe shoes that are more sneaker style and they tend to have flexible cloth that is designed to fit like a sock rather than stiff leather. There are some that are actually cute too! For this video, I think the Ariat Tracy and Keens may be good options.
