Take one shot at dead center bullseye. Adjust the cross hairs of scope to that first shot point of impact make sure the rifle is held steady and forearm of stock is resting on a bag. Then shot again that should bring you to your point of aim make final adjustments to point of impact that should put you right on target. It helps a lot to get your first round close to center by laser bore sighting before you go to range.
If you are sighting your hunting rifle it's best in my opinion to to get your cold bore shot on target that's the one that will make or break your hunt .
They are great rifles, very accurate. I've sighted mine in for 50 yards with Winchester sub's, still good at 80 yards and aim a little high at 100 yards. Atb muddy
Can you explain how you figure out your number of clicks at 50 yards when it says 1/4 MOA (so 1/4 inch at 100 yards) on the scope? Is it then that one click equals 1/2 inch at 50 yards...?
Thanks so much for the question… here is my math. The round is landing about 1 inch from the bulls eye at 50 yrds. I was incorrect in distance needing adjusted I said .5 inch when I meant 1 inch adjustment… I know that At 100yrds each click or 1/4 MOA is 1/4 inch movement, the at 50 yrds each click is now 1/8 of an inch. I turned 8 clicks to the left so that’s a movement of 8x 1/8 inch which should centre now 1inch left which is bang over the bulls eye. Does that make sense?
@@taketheshot1153 if i shot at 100yards and i miss by 2inch i need to do 8 click..but if shot at 50 yards i need to to 16 clicks if i missed by 2 inch right?
For a .22 the 50 yard zero is perfect as most game i shoot will be between 50-100 yrds, though these rifles can shoot out to 150-200 but for a safe, humane and accurate shot 50-100 is good. I will do a video soon on making the adjustments as the target moves out using the scope!
It is a dead end by that tree with no access or path beyond, but it is always important to check for paths and access before sending a round into the unknown. Thanks Gerry
There is always an oops to keep you humble. 👍

Def an easy way to zero when you have a steady base for rifle and at a range, tougher in the field to shoot and adjust when rifle is on bipod.
Very good item. Worked very well.

Zeroing with sub sonic rounds?
Yes, using suppressor
Nice job what scope do you have ?
I am using the Hawke Vantage 3-9x10, great for the distances I shoot.
Thanks
@@berniesmith8163 sorry misspelt its 3-9x50

This is the hawke vantage 3-9x50, a great scope for the distances I shoot.
2 clicks is a quarter inch at 50 yds not 4, 8 per inch, if I'm not mistaken. 1 click per 1/4 inch at 100 yards.
At 100 yrds 4 clicks is 1 inch movement, at 50 yrds 8 clicks is 1 inch movement.
Not happy with your 'range'. It looks like someone could easily be walking or driving down that track before you were aware of them.
