    hold on their partner - we NEEEEED that video on how to combat plantar fasciitis. Or just give me some tips below. I have started to incorporate single leg workouts into my gym routine and think its helping a bit.

      Working on it. Finished the the final draft last week. Just gotta record it now. So it’s coming.
      I will say there is no magic bullet and what worked for me may not work for everyone. I’ll tell my story though.

    I put off buying a pair for ages. Finally gave in and I absolutely love them. I use a runners knot and I get a great lockdown. It’s great for long runs, easy runs and daily miles.

      Runners knot and all the eyelets...for most any shoe. These especially benefited from that.

    I’m now on my second pair of Invincible 3 and I agree with you, I love them. And funny enough I got the same wear on the lateral midfoot, which I never got in any other shoe, I’m a forefoot striker and usually I burn the outsole just under my toes. I thought long before getting a second pair because I usually like to try some new shoes, but the full Zoom X rotation has been working nicely for me that I really don’t want to try anything else

    • @SagasuRunning
      @SagasuRunning  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ya, the I3 has a massive lateral heel flare. It inevitably hits the ground at some point.
      This is a great shoe for sure. A much better update than most give Nike credit.

    Definitely yes on the Planters Fascitis. I'm enjoying this shoe so far and I've been a Pegasus guy for the last two shoes. The Peg 39 just really let me down. The outsole wore down so fast and the midsole just went flat.

    Would be great to hear your point of view on the Invincible 3’s, especially now that the Zoom Fly 6 is soon out, and the remoudered Vomero Plus (invincible 4) is nearing. Do you see this spot of invincible 3 being the “go to long run trainer” being challenged by other Nike shoes in the near future? Or what’s your take on that?

    • @SagasuRunning
      @SagasuRunning  14 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      This shoe will be eclipsed by the Vomero 18 and Vomero Plus, without a question. Which one depends on your preference in feel. The V18 will be a bit more sedated and traditional the VP will be a bit more bouncy and dynamic. The ZF6, doesn't factor into this at all...

    • @Skjoldborg8
      @Skjoldborg8 14 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks again @SagasuRunning for your reply! That makes sense, and hope you are right with them eclipsing the IR3. I guess it’s because you factor the ZF6 as a tempo shoe that you don’t factor this in at all. But maybe I’m just doing my Sunday long runs wrong then. 😅✌️

    • @SagasuRunning
      @SagasuRunning  14 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @Skjoldborg8 Ya, the ZF6 is a tempo trainer. The only long runs I’d ever consider doing in them are in a marathon build where I need to do a lot of marathon pace…. Even then I’m going to pick a worn in pair of Vaporflys for that…

    • @Skjoldborg8
      @Skjoldborg8 12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Okay, so it is a tempo trainer as I thought. But interesting you think you would just go with the VF3 instead. I'm doing marathon training atm, and see me doing that as my prime at least the next couple of years. I feel I need a propper tempo shoe for my sunday long runs, that are around 20-30k. If I could get a pair of the new ZF6 for 200$ or a pair of VF3 for 260$, what would you go with initially? I know the ZF6 isn't out yet, but you know about the durability of the VF3, and if it's capable for "a sunday long run shoe". Maybe a silly question, but I really appreciate your knowledge and expertise. 🙏

    I just got hold of a pair of Invincible 3 and planning to run a marathon with it in 2 months time, not going for any PBs but would like to finish the race hoping the max cushion will ease my ankle which is still recovering from tendinitis. based on your experience with the shoe do you think its feasible to run a full marathon with this shoe? thank you

    • @SagasuRunning
      @SagasuRunning  12 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Honestly, it could be a back idea. With ankle issues, it not about cushion, in fact you want less...you want stability more. That will protect and help you ankle. The Invincible 3 is not the most stable shoe. If you want cushion and stability maybe take a look at the Asics Novablast 4.

    I'm wondering if I should buy two pairs of Pegasus 40s (I love the colours) so I can alternate when one pair needs a wash, or should I get a pair of Invincible Run 3 for alternate days? I am trying to learn running but also improve my daily step count.
    Also, did you have any sizing issues? I found the toe box perfect on the Pegasus 40, but felt the Invincible Run 3 was slightly tight in the same size and my toe hits the top of the shoe.
    Thank you!

    • @SagasuRunning
      @SagasuRunning  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’d buy two different models of shoes, alternate the training stimulus on your feet and legs. Also since you are new to running it will help you learn what you like trying different shoes.
      I went true to size in both the Peg40 and Invincible 3. The Peg40’upper is more accommodating than the Invincible 3 , which would explain the fit.
      Another shoe to look at that is good for walking and running is the Infinity RN 4. It’s a great fitness shoe for both activities and is very rocketed and soft. If you do try this one go up AT LEAST half a size, possibly even a full size.

    Very good review. I am also looking for a replacement pair of shoes for my Invincible 2. I am not yet decided between Invincible 3 or something like New Balance SC Trainer or even Elite. What would you chose and why? I am looking forward for your opinion on this. 😊

    • @SagasuRunning
      @SagasuRunning  ปีที่แล้ว

      I honestly can't recommend anything from NB. The last interesting shoe they made was the Rebel V3 and that is nothing you are looking for here.
      Obviously, I would opt for the I3. I have two videos explaining it in-depth.
      That being said it's not exactly a direct path from the I2, it doesn't have the same feel.
      The only shoe I've had on recently that reminds me of the I1/2 is the Asics Nimbus 25... it's not as bouncy but has a similar vibe. Additionally the Asics Superblast also has that same bounce, though it takes more work to get it there.
      Best advice I can offer.

    I know a lot of people like these shoes and I wanted to like them because I think they look fantastic, unfortunately they didn't work for me. The heel was slipping bad and midfoot felt super tight, it was weird, perhaps they could have worked with some time to break in but I just didn't want to wait.

    • @SagasuRunning
      @SagasuRunning  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ya, they may have fit better after they molded to your foot. I do think the heel is a bit too minimal in these and I was thinking some people could have heel issues. I never have heel issues in any shoe though. The other thing is the eyelet chain is so long that a runners knot would solve most heel issues. But a too tight midfoot is something that won’t change.

  • @livegreatalways
    @livegreatalways ปีที่แล้ว

    I have the Invincible 2 and really love it. But experienced heel slippage in the Invincible 3 so it was a disappointment and the pair also got heavier. Did you feel the slippage? It's kinda thin at the heel areas.

    • @SagasuRunning
      @SagasuRunning  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Zero heel slippage issues… even when fresh out of the box. A runner knot lacing helps if you haven’t tried that yet.

  • @tomc0240
    @tomc0240 ปีที่แล้ว

    What socks are you wearing in these? I bought a pair yesterday and my heel won’t stop stop slipping. I’m afraid I’ll have to take them back. I have the invincible 2 without any issues with the same running socks

    • @SagasuRunning
      @SagasuRunning  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I always use Nike Spark lightweight no-show socks.
      Google “runners knot”, it likely will help with heel lockdown.

My channel gets almost no views😱😁. The most important thing about TH-cam in my world is that you share good knowledge😀. that's why I mentioned you in one of my videos🙂. But as with so many other things, we humans are very different. I love Invincible Run 1-2. Have many of them. Have run about 2000 km in them. All my data is on Strava. Invincible v1-2 is a great shoe for me. I have both run a small ultra race in them 60 km. I know many say they are not fast. But a new pair with fresh ZoomX is actually very fast for me. 10 km in 37 minutes. Of course not as fast as a carbon shoe. I know several people who train extremely hard. They spend many of their hours in shoes such as the Invincible or the New Balance supercom trainer. The shoes help to make them able to train more kilometers per week than before. But it is important to vary your shoe choice. So that you don't strain the body and the foot in the same way

    • @SagasuRunning
      @SagasuRunning  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the shout out. I’m a new channel too. There is lots of room here for all of us to grow for sure.
      I come from a minimal shoes or racing flat background. I have always preferred lighter, more nimble shoes with good ground feel. It is why I like the Streakfly so much. It’s such a unique shoe being as low and flexible as it yes yet so soft. That being said, as a masters marathoner, I accept the recovery is vital to me now and running in a softer shoe that helps my legs, like the Invincible 3 is important for me now.
      That being said.. rotating shoes is important. I have a bunch of upcoming videos covering training and racing rotations or pairings from Nike, Asics and Adidas… stay tuned.
      Thank you for the kind words as always! 🙏🏻
