I have these coilovers on my mk5 Supra, they are stiff but not harsh and it handles like a dream. Great coilovers.
They really are!
how do they handle pot holes or bumps? are they comfortable?
Weighing these up between this and hipermax S

They're not harsh but definitely not comfortable I'll say that for sure. Over bumpy surfaces and potholes the car can feel stiff and can bounce up and down quite a bit, but you have to remind yourself the R is track-focused and not for the street. You can make it softer by adjusting the suspension rates but if you're gonna do that I would say just go for the S especially if you're not going to the circuit.
Great timing! I'm exploring to get coilovers for my car. Thanks!
Glad we could help!
Nice presentation! No stuttering and no obvious sign of reading from a script.
Thank you!
thanks for the review, I plan on getting these for my 93 fd3s which is in a restoration shop atm
Love it! Glad we could help!
Have these on my '22 BRZ. The ride quality is great for being so stiff. Superb build quality too.
Oh 100% They are awesome!
one day i gotta swing by your Tempe location lol. Got 2 cars i want parts for. Besides kinda just want to show you guys my fully built all-motor 3000gt lol. Now i got an Evox also lol.
Oh shoot! You came to play! We'd love to see it!
@@vivid_racing th-cam.com/video/EdnAMymzjJ0/w-d-xo.html This was before i installed a holley intake on the engine and kinda stuck waiting for a tune then an Evox dropped in my lap. Btw wonder if you guys remember sterling had a big turbo black rx-7 a while back..Always had vivid racing swag on it lol.
so I bought a set of HKS Coilovers from someone and realized the rears don't have dampener knobs. How would it go to adjust stiffness?
Did you change out the suspension arms and links for alignment? If so, what did you go with?
Hi, how did you set the preload in the rears?
I think you didn't mention it was a little expensive, enough ;)
Should have put true coilovers in the rear, and tossed the buckets.
That would have been dope!
I'm not in sales but....repeatedly saying that a product is expensive is not a good sales tactic.
In the long game, you make more money being honest/transparent.
@@jeffkelly9197 but you don't keep saying it's expensive. You say these are on the higher end of the price range but are very high quality. And you only mention the price once. She said expensive three times inside 90 seconds. You can be honest and be a good salesman at the same time. They're not mutually exclusive. That's all I'm advocating for.
They come with a 3-year warranty, and hopefully customer service is easily available.
Quality Plus customer service means a lot these days
@@carlstrohm3785these are nowhere near the price true race coils
Hell no! Track cars are set up soft for traction. Fire this chick.
You are confusing compliant with soft. "Soft" suspension is for a nice comfy ride. A track car has stiffer springs and bigger anti-sway bars to help stay flat through the corners while dealing with higher G-forces and keeping good tire contact with the surface. Coil overs usually tend to lower the car and the CG which also aids in less body roll. The damper is where the magic happens. You can have "stiff" springs and a compliant (therefore keeping surface contact and good control) ride all in one package if tuned properly.
your not the brightest eh

Bruh, you off. It’s not too late to delete this comment. Lol
For all you who don't know, track cars are set up soft for traction. I know for all you posers this is difficult for you to gasp but this is how it is. I have several friends who are driving instructors for NASA and we talk about this, what we see on the street is pure comedy. Slammed lower vehicles that don't travel anywhere, just speed down a residential street or on a fwy with a Instagram logo. In society fakery is loved and adored via social media.
