    5th game was even better if it wasnt ruined by that stupid ref

    • @tomewall8982
      @tomewall8982 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yes it was. The ref seems a bit arrogant, thinking he must be right and doesn't need to ask for help, even when he does. And if ever there was a time to ask for help, that was it.

      I just wanted to hit that ref with rosner's racket after that stupid match ball decision

    For those criticising the refs, have you tried marking a game? At our club last night several of us were watching a game between two of our better players and there was little agreement about several decisions. Bear in mind you are watching close up video too. That said, the pro refs should use the video ref a bit more, the prime example being the last point in this match. It would be good in fact to have a rule that the video ref is always used on a match point.

    • @Jaacoopp
      @Jaacoopp 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I suggest that you guys actually learn the rules then, it is not that complicated..

    • @dalstonjazz
      @dalstonjazz 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Jaacoopp We are all experienced players and know the rules. The point is whether you can 100% correctly judge a situation in real time from one angle standing on a balcony watching a game on a plaster court. The pro refs have a video ref for good reason.

    So tough for gawad, I hate hitting those volley drops into the top of the tin, always seems to happen on match point no less

      stroke to gawad.

    Two fair players but PJ (and Gawad) is right about 11:35: that's a no let. Rösner went the wrong way (the ball was clearly going to the back): it was his responsibility to scramble back, not just lean on Gawad and beg for a let.

    why was it a let at 15:28? Rosner was in the way; the ball had NOT turned. That should have been a stroke.

    • @erikschaepers
      @erikschaepers 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I thought so, too. Karim could have smacked it on Simon's calf if he had wanted to. That is a Stroke in my book

    How do you become a referee for these matches? Knowing the right people?
    Apparantly no knowledge about squash or the ability to read and understand the rulebook is required. I would resign just to stop embarasing myself and my country if I was put in such a position.
    For squashlovers this is just painful to watch.
