I agree. For the past several years that I worked I would do 60-75% of work of a team of two.
The best co-worker partners I had in 20 years were both legal immigrant nurses.
I even had one nurse bring in a baby to work for a few weeks working in a clinic, which dumped 50% of their workload on me. And my supervisor supported her telling me to be a Team player. After 40 years I realized while there is no I in Team, but there is ME and ME is tired of pulling the lion's share of the workload. So I retired a few years early.

The problem is most people don’t save their money or live below their means to take off from work when they experience burnout. Plus as you mentioned, obtain a meaningful degree. & a career that allows you a flexible schedule.

Facts....but there will always be those who feel everything is owed to them. If you have no mental or physical disabilities what's stopping anyone from learning a new skill that's actually going to bring in significant income.

Honestly I took 1 year off of direct patient healthcare BECAUSE I DID FEEL BURT OUT LIFE WAS NOT RIGHT COULD NOT CONTINUE HELPING UNTIL I GOT ME RIGHT ❤took a sitting down health care job for 6months now so I can study for my RN boards test , after standing for 16 years sitting at that desk is cool for now but I’m board out my mind and I can’t wait to get back in to the hospital/clinical setting. I used to feel like what they are saying but not no more I put me first got my life back together and I’m ready to continue getting this money and not living above my means but to live good and amazing and still have money and work life family balance. You have to know your worth. hey ppl we live in America we all need each other and we all must work❤️ work smarter. Future nurse with side business that will not stress me out.

I'm a nurse and that guy in the red shirt is not saying he doesn't want to work he is talking about these jobs put their foot on people's neck because of capitalism and having skills don't mean anything!!! if the company you work for does not value those skills...I think you're not even listening to what he is saying because of your biased opinion, and I have worked since I was 18 then became a medical assistant at 24 then LPN at 35 and working towards my RN and I just hate fucking working and not everyone believes in "if a man that doesn't work shouldn't eat" You need to wake up bro!!

I became a medical assistant at 24-25 too! I transitioned a little into sales/social services, I don't regret taking that field but at the same time, it's considered easy compared to other education I'm currently pursuing, I feel unprepared

This video made me so angry. I say that because I have been trying so hard for the last couple of months to obtain gainful employment where I live. I need to work two jobs to save up money and put a down payment on Nursing school. I have to find scholarships beyond the Pell Grant to minimize my loan debt. And it's all on me. Meanwhile, they're crying because they have a job! I understand that burnout is real, especially in Healthcare. But that's why I'm going for Nursing. It's my time, and I am dedicated to this.

I understand where your coming from but it can definitely take a toll on you at times, everyone doesn’t always have a strong support system and have different situations but working in healthcare at some point will take a toll on you it just depends on how you go about it or if a person practices good self care. I have been in healthcare 11 years and a nurse going on 7 years and it is so damn demanding but I am grateful I’m in good health and good standing to care for others and know when I need a break

For ppl who don’t want to work, they can go back home to their parents. No need to complain. Maybe work something part time/low labor to give back to the household. Clean up and cook. Just go back home to family. That’s what I would do.

I understand healthcare workers being overworked because agencies/hospitals are understaffed. I do agree on work hours being too long 8 hours of the day, too barely afford to eat. I'm tired and fed up, too. Customer Service is rewarding for those who like helping others, but it is tiring dealing with the work system. It is the setup/work structure that is the problem. Low pay is also an issue for customer service rep. The disrespect and/or stressed endured by demanding customers is not easy. At least compensate your workers with $20 an hour pay.

The COVID-19/vaccine mandate deterred a lot of people from entering/staying in the healthcare professions as well. The gov't f'd up with that one.....😂😂😂😂 Now, people don't want to/can't adjust to onsite work environments. 😂😂😂😂

@leah130 It doesn't have to be that way...BUT more women need to expand their options and not settle for less than they deserve! Personally, I would rather be alone than in a bad relationship or a dynamic where I have to share. F that! And for the record, I am in a very happy, healthy, sane and monogamous relationship.

Some of these nurses are a joke. They want money and only want to work 4 hours a day. Girl, get you another job or go work for yourself. We are so lucky to have the options that we have. Just 10 years ago the amount of people making money online was not available. And I agree. Looking at grown men complain and won't do a thing to change it is pathetic.
