Its interesting to note that this game's cutscenes are sometimes from a not fully rendered version of the scene, if anyone's familiar with the placeholder beta cutscenes they'll know immediately what i mean
IIRC if you hold A and B (or if not, it's another control combination) you can do sharp turning as any character without losing speed. This makes the high speed characters OP because it eliminates their biggest drawback.
For those who are interested because the low quality audio can be hard to understand (especially with the other sound effects going on such as the engines and music), the actual quotes are "One for the road!" "The race is mine!" and "Tiny knock you out!"
