From one of the interviews with another B5 actor, I had the impression that they wanted her to come back, but it was her who did not want to (not clear on reasons).
Of course it did help a little bit that she did a Playboy shoot too! Even there she was strong and sexy what a amazing woman. I am sure playboy boss enjoyed her too? Lucky man.
She didn’t make the list b/c she didn’t conform to the stereotypical sci-fi female that audiences expected back in the 90’s - she had a husky voice and not the “model” type - all that aside she is an amazing actress and played Ivanova perfectly
I always liked her so much. She's a great actress. I really wanted to see her in more movies and tv shows. I think this is a prime example of the problems in "Hollywood." There aren't enough strong female roles, and they don't cast based on talent and what women want to see at the movies. She really should have done a lot more than she's done. I hope she continues having success. She deserves it.
It's funny, that last question she answered, "G'kar and Londo"... immediate recognition, if she'd said, "Peter an Andreas" I would've had to think for a second. Now THAT is a testament to their talent!
I love B5. I love Claudia and her role she played as Ivanova. The scene when Franklin just arrived at B5 looking for Marcus. When he walked in and saw Susan sitting on the floor and Marcus was dead saving her. Claudia broke me. Her tears and being upset was acting skills that were off the charts. I know this is 12 years later, but still that scene today brings me to tears.
The unmatched writing ✍️ was absolutely *outstanding* & the cast was abundantly talented. As she alluded, the flawed humanity exhibited by the chacters AND their societies (even the Mimbari) was so refreshingly realistic compared with the near perfection typically presented in Star Trek (esp. TNG).
Dose she keap contact with Markus. . I went nuts when my vvr heads failed do to a head cleaner kit And I had 24 hrs to find a back up to keap my recordings in line I had to borrow $ to buy a new one ( at 20 percent)

Claudia Christian voiced more Skyrim NPCs than Aela the Huntress. She was the Riften Jarl, the Whiterun Smith, Queen Potemia, the Wolf Queen (Hour of the Wolf reference?), and a follower you had to win a brawl with in the Bannered Mare.

Speaking of which, on my current file - not counting this evening as I've had the game saved for a while and will be on it probably today (since I'm up past midnight, lol.) OR tomorrow - I got to where I was about to head to Riften and get in the Thieves Guild, THEN when I do that, I'm considering STARTING the Dawnguard.
Kyle Hearnsberger Don't worry about it. I've played Skyrim way too many times, and Riften is my favorite town to hang out in. I always buy the Honeyside house as soon as I can afford it.

One thing I find hilarious is, AFTER getting the merchant perk, it doesn't seem to take me long to earn the money to be able to purchase the house in Solitude - upgrades and all. :) And when I get to the Dark Brotherhood, I use that house as my "base of operations" - hence I'd have Ebony or Daedric armor renamed after the Brotherhood, then when I go get unsuspecting victims, it makes me feel REALLY like a Brotherhood member by having all-black weapons with the awesome armor. :) Just saying.
Kyle Hearnsberger Yep, I find if you invest three points into the basic haggling perk, and then invest in the perk that gives you a discount for trading with the opposite sex, and lets you trade any item with any merchant, it becomes embarrassingly easy to make money. I have 60000 gold stashed in each of my houses. I bought the houses in Solitude, Markarth, Whiterun, Riften, and Windhelm. All of the houses are fully upgraded. Doing side quests for the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood pay the most. The College of Winterhold jobs pay well, but they are so boring and amount to simply fast traveling from one location to another to pick up and deliver enchanted items. Sometimes the College Enchanter will pay you for empty soul gems. Doing fetch quests for the Orc Librarian are a bit more interesting as he sends you to dungeons to recover books, but the rewards are usually scrolls that aren't useful to my Mage characters.
Ivanova and Whinters was first time i saw lesbian line in a "non specific" movie, so that was a huge mind shock. But it was great at all. No feminism, no sex wars, no vulgarity, no challenge to majority - just their story. Btw, hard story.
Ivanova was a "strong, independent woman" back in the day when such characters were done right and got the praise they deserved. Not like today where the same concept comes forced and filled with poor ideology. Funny, nowadays the argument for the current, ridiculous format of "strong, independent women" is that they were absent from earlier screenwriting, which is so obviously not the case.
Cheburashka207 Sorry, they do have an accent, which I do not mind. But the portrayal of a Character of Russian origin would appear more authentic without an American accent. I know many Russians speak English well. Or people of Russian descent who migrated into anglophone countries.
But the actor who played the rabbi, made a far more genuine impression as a russian, and he was only a guest actor on the show. I think there was some potential left unexploited in this character's portrayal. But Claudia Christian was definitely a good choice to portray her.
Actually Star Trek has cooler space battles in their own way, also Star Trek has "less" space battles and thus making the big battles like the battle for DS9 and other battles a joy to watch, oh and the Borg, the Borg no other Sci-Fi series has come up with such a cool, destructive, logical and "enemy". Star Wars not much so.
