Give Battlespace a look. It’s much faster and does away with the fiddly mechanics that most ultra modern games suffer from. Best of all, it was designed primarily for solo play rather it being a tacked on set of rules.
Agree completely, Rob. Ever since I bought Battlespace I rarely play any other ruleset. I'm working on my own event/sitrep cards for fantasy and sci fi versions to play at home.
No problem, plan is to do more given how we'll this video has done, probably take a look at the quick reference guide amd the force organisation sheets.
Actually had a look at the old book, it's the same a4 profile but it's about 10 pages shorter even with the campaign and force builder which weren't in v2.
@@readyaimroll Spectre is A4, this new Spectre is slightly larger than A5. The font is smaller and the rules seem overly complex now. Played Ambush and slaughtered the Tier 1 operators in the first turn and they had one guy left so we called it. I need to read the book to give a fair view but not too impressed so far
Thank you for the run through.
Thanks! For some reasons its hard to find a good review of this ruleset. Have you tried it in action?
Tried it last year before the book arrived, it was alright, definitely need to give it a second go.
Nice review!

Will have to check that out.

Amazing review but i should say: Assymetric Warfare is just SO much better, and cheaper
I do need to give AW a go I'm just a shocker for having pretty books on the shelf.
Is it just me or is the book smaller that the previous edition?
