A few weeks ago, I posted Nur's rant from practice. I just stumbled across the Kansas race he competed in and figured I'd post his NASCAR career highlights. ESPN owns the footage. Thanks to LP2008 for the race.
i made a little program that calculates driver skill ratings based on season stats from racing reference, and then wrote a little script that makes a text file with first names and another with last names from all the ratings i calculated. i saw nur in the list of first names and was like "what?", went to racing reference and saw he made a start in the 2012 nationwide series. i guess this is my you learn something new moment of the day
then you look at a guy like Paul Menard, who used his money wisely and took his sponsorship with him to better and better teams ride buying generally sucks but sometimes it doesn't
Cj Buford Well he obviously didn't have much talent nor experience, but an underfunded, unsponsored team probably wouldn't risk an inexperienced driver with their cars, so I'd say it's inconclusive.
nascarbig1s If the inexperienced driver had a lot of money (which Nur Ali has), then its pretty reasonable to think that an underfunded team would still drive him. Rick Ware Racing probably still profitted from Nur just becasue Nur gave them money to have a shot
0:21 Forgive him, Dale: He was the first valedictorian of the Kevin Lepage Racing School
proof that danica has at least some talent.
@AintNoWay Pretty sure if she focused on her IndyCar career she would be one of the top guns in the business, also Juan Montoya if he stayed F1.
Hall of fame 2016
He needs to come back for the great comedic value he will bring to the sport. He'll be our Jar Jar Binks.
This video shows up in my "watch it again" list about every other day, and I always watch it again
Come on back and watch it again my guy. Its just as funny now.
And then he was never seen again. The End.

Nur Ali the next Richard Petty
Literally who is this guy
some dude who had a lot of money and took advantage of the top 35 rule
First muslim nascar driver
From where he is
From Pakistan?
Same.
0:20 he was literally trying to drive on the apron o.O
then you look at a guy like Paul Menard, who used his money wisely and took his sponsorship with him to better and better teams
ride buying generally sucks but sometimes it doesn't
And at least had some talent.
He is the only muslim that has raced in Nascar
I remember him from A1GP when he drove for Team Pakistan. He only scored 1 point.
Qualified last in every event BY FAR
@@TheShockninja I wish A1 GP was still around..
0:47 boom
Still a better driver than Steven Wallace
Ugh, the future is here
He wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed thats for damn sure.
I remember this.
And they parked the car even though it barely had any damage to it.
He was a start and park he had no sponser
Still Better then Danica
Man
This definitely not better than Danica
He was running 28th in crappy equipment and Danica runs 33rd with championship winning equipment. Do the math.
KB18theBEST No, he's still better than Danica, everyone is it's just common knowledge
Maybe you're right
Nur Ali is a champ in a race series
But Patrick is getting better
I think everyone sees her performance
KB18theBEST Ehh, she got beat by part of the rookie class
Rick Ware Racing
Never heard of him
This is cringeworthy.
Is there a top 5 crash countdown for this guy
He made 1 start, so no.
5: this
4: his practice incident
3, 2, 1: his entire career
Was this a minority stunt or did they actually think he had talent?
nascarbig1s what do u think?

Cj Buford Well that makes more sense.
Never heard of him
