A Pokemon Brilliant Diamond Hardcore Nuzlocke Challenge Playing as Cynthia - Can it be done? (No items, No overleveling)

RULES:
1) If a Pokemon faints, it's considered dead and can no longer be used.
2) Only the first encounter can be caught on each route.
3) Species Clause; I can reroll an encounter if the first encounter is something already caught.
4) No items in battle (held items are fine).
5) No overleveling the next gym leader's highest Pokemon (leveling up during the fight is allowed).
6) Battle style must always be on 'Set'.

I love when my Pokémon learn a new move mid gym battle. Makes me feel like I’m in the anime.

Diantha would have been good if not for her being kinda weak in X and Y oh well not all female trainers can be Cynthia lol.

As confusing as this was a times. It does remind me that I would love an alternate version of Pokémon games in which you are the champion for whichever gen and how you go to that point. With game events making you use the team they use pretty much only. A final fight being set a handful of years later agasint whoever the player character was for that generation with a team that would be fitting to them (similar like the Red fight).
Who knows, maybe someday someone will make a rom of this for at least the earlier generations.
You kinda get this in Sun/Moon. At the end you become the first champion for the region and each fight you have is in defense of your title.
The way he just glossed over Mars who is one of the biggest run killers ever I'm just flabbergasted
Mars is easy as hell because you can over level her with hardcore nuzlocke rules being level cap 22 and her purugly 16
@@samplum1567 that depends on if you include the admins and bosses of evil teams in the level cap. Because I know people including me have level caps for any major battle gym ,Rival Evil team, etc
@@NativeJoel I guess, but that’s more strict than most people play even a hardcore nuzlocke. I’d say that’s a minority of players within nuzlockes doing that. Especially since it makes grinding terrible since you’d have to stop to fight. Rival before E4 and then do another round of grinding before E4. All power to you though. My statement still stands for majority of people doing a hardcore nuzlocke
Fun fact in one of the anime or movies it’s confirmed that Cynthia starter was in Piplup
i love how a lot of nuzlockers will take like 1/5 or 1/6 damage and be like "damn he did a big chunk of damage to me" and when they deal barely below half they're like "damn thats not even close enough damage." obviously it's because they are nervous for potential crits and can't take any chances but i jsut find it funny
Spiritomb is now solo catchable in bdsp, also i think the earliest people have actually get their hands on it is post 6th gym.
You can now get it with only 2 badges, but it takes ages to find all rare npc in the underground

If you’re talking about Verity, it’s canon that Cynthia is not her mom. It was a popular fan theory that was confirmed not true .

Pokemon diamond and pearl originally only had two fire types in the whole region, those being The infernape and Rapidash lines, before national dex. He needed something lol, but yeah ironic.

Can I just say I laughed out loud at the idea of describing Starlies as highly dangerous, feral Pokemon for kids to avoid? I mean, okay, any Pokemon can be dangerous to humans, but generally the first few Pokemon encountered in any game are considered to be the least deadly, that's WHY they're at the start of the game.
Just once I want to see a game where the starting town is surrounded by mountains, and your choice of starters is a grass, water, or fighting type, because nobody wants their kid at a disadvantage when facing the many Gravelers that live nearby.
I point you to the Spearows of the animé, when they destroyed Ashe, Pikachu and Misty's bike.

diamond and pearl remakes, not platinum, in her rematches she has a togekiss though

Hey, I've use and beat cynthia with her team too (With a Togekiss also), Spiritomb, Feebas and HA Gible from Trade, while Togepi, Roselia, Gastrodon, and Riolu in game.

Yes you can but under ground pokemon are a higher level than over world ones

I believe it would be fair if you use same pokemon AND moves.
I haven't played any game since gen 5 but will start soon with this remake once I get the switch. I noticed there were no trainers mega evolving their pokemon, not even Cynthia. Is that not a thing in the remakes?
I think the last mega evos were in alpha saph and omega ruby then Z moves then Gigantamax in newest gens. So no Megas in this remake for now at least. Maybe an update may change it who knows.
You can also Mega Evolve along with Z-Moves in Gen 7 (SM and USUM)

They removed Megas and Z-Moves in Generation 8 and sadly didn't add it in the DP remakes.
