i never understand why people talk shit when artist develop , personally i think she grew up from the distillers > spinnerette > to her solo stuff now , if you've followed her thru the years you'd hear that , if thats the case , you make some music , try doing it , live up to the expectation's of your fans , its hard for an artist , so don't pass judgement , like everyone in this world everyone has different talents , I fucking love Brody no matter what she does , and I've seen and heard her music develop and evolve . can't appreciate it then too bad? , listen to something else.

Karen Cuellar I agree, I admit when i was younger i used to have a problem with alot of bands changing, silverchair, brody dalle post-distillers etc...but looking back with the maturity to identify it, it was fueled by sort of naive elitism and a narrower spectrum of taste and a sort of bigotry towards other social circles and i didn't like that my music might be re-engineered to appeal to others. If you just let yourself understand where they are as an artist and stop thinking about what you want to hear from them, and open your mind to allow a more diversified lifestyle and range of tastes, you can actually hear what they are doing and really appreciate their ability to grow like that and enjoy the songs alot, and be glad they did change to become that artist.

I really did like several tunes I came across from the Distillers' catalog when I crossed them a couple of years ago & actually added a few to my playlists. I dig the heavy, old-school, indie/punk bass lines & rhythmic structure of their stuff. I didn't know if it popped up from my oddball music taste & the YT algorithm, or from listening to Queens of the Stone Age on here, or what, but seems like I don't get as many recommendations for decent off the wall bands anymore, or not like I used to anyways. (Sigh! 😥🤣) If you have any other cool recommends kick 'em my way. I'd appreciate it & thanks! 🌟
@@Sera-Chelle you may have gotten the Brode Dalle recommendation because she was married to Josh Homme from QOTSA for quite a while. Check out Spinnerette. The album got bad reviews at the time but I think it was unfair. The songs are pretty good tbh.
The mix and the sound is completely awesome some of the best I've ever heard and I went on tour with these guys many many years ago this sounds awesome

I'm given to understand that the bassist here is now the Bassist for Ghost (under the name Nameless Ghoul Water) can anyone confirm that? I saw Ghost perform live for the second time last night in Dublin and I think it is him cos the playing styles look very similar. Anyone know his name?

Its quite cool really, Tobias Forge is very gifted and pretty much plays every instrument on the albums apart from Drums, then hires all these other musicians for the live tours (I think the previous Ghoul Bassist was a Woman called Megan Thomas). They get to play all these tours and huge venues (like stadiums supporting Metallica last year) but cos they're all Sidemen and wear the appropriate masks and costumes its kinda difficult to id them lol. Anyway thanks again.
