  • I like to work in series. This video shows one of the ways you can do that.
Of course you can choose to do any size and any amount of pieces you want. The bigger collages, the more papers you need to have.
The only materials I used her, is my own gelli printed papers, 425 gsm watercolor papers for substrate, a little piece of gold paper, some old book pages, a black Stabilo All and a glue stick.

I can see them in small narrow frames side by side. One of my favorite color combinations. Thanks for generously sharing your work.

You're an excellent teacher. I can now see that the previously created collage papers are fundamental and that having a bit of a standard routine gives freedom to be creative... also helps you get started.
It also feels like it solved the problem of paper placement because of you're undecided you have 3 other opportunities
I love the papers you create, but I already knew that
    Thank you!

Thank you. Exactly, and isn’t it strange the limitation, rules and prompts can give you freedom to get started and work.

I've been watching you for a long while now and I love your work very much , I do the same kind of collage that you do , I really love your abstract style of collage sometimes when I can not sleep , I watch what other people are doing , and I want you to know I love hearing you talk while you're making a decision on where to put something , I do the same thing , abstract is my favorite way to do a collage , you're friend Linda Bailey from Corpus Christi Texas USA .

Thank you Linda for your kind words. It’s not very easy for me to work, explain my thoughts and do it in another language. I fill my vocabulary is too small. If I was talking in Danish I would say much more and probably speak much faster.
Yes abstract is also my favorite way of expressing myself.

Lisbeth, I am in awe of your talent and your vision. Thank you so much for these videos. Your level of sophistication and taste, in my estimation, are unmatched in any artist I’ve found on TH-cam, you are a great inspiration to me to keep on developing my eye through these kinds of exercises.

thank you for your kind words. When I began my channel I had a lot of thoughts, why do this, what content and so on. but as time has passed I must confess it’s the teaching part I like, especially when it things, processes I have invented myself, I like to pass it on.

I really enjoy watching your process, but am also inspired by it. I have begun to make tiny 3x3 inch collages with the growing collection of my gelli paper scraps that i accumulate in a shoe box. It’s a very easy and enjoyable way to play with composition.

Thank you. Yes it’s a great way to work. A couple of years ago I did “the 100 day project” 100 collages, 10x10 cm and 1 every day for 100 days. That gives a lot of practice. Keep up the good work and I can tell you, no matter how many you do, you will always have scarps and leftovers for more collages.

Beautiful work, once again, Lisbeth. I find your videos to be so helpful in facilitating ideas on how to proceed. I need to get better skills at creating collage papers using the gel plate. Thanks so much.

Thank you. I have begun to do gelli printing sessions here on YT. Look at that playlist. Also I can tell you that I have made 1000 of prints and not all is equal successful. But it the only way to get better is to practice. So go for it.

Hello Lisbeth, I love your videos, I am learning a lot!
Can you tell me where you find these wonderful papers?
    Regards
    Rita ☺️

Thank you Rita. Almost the papers in the collages are my own gel prints, so you can only fined them in my house. Your collages gets so much more personal when you use papers you have made yourself.

Hello Lisbeth, beautiful collages ❤❤❤......how do you protect your work? Do you put a layer of matt medium on at the end ?

    • @lisbethdegn-dragenkunst
      @lisbethdegn-dragenkunst  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

Thank you. For a start I don’t do anything but stacking my works in plastic boxes. If I sell a piece I give it matt medium, satin glacé or a varnish depending on how I want it to look.
