Cool.....I did a process similar to this by mistake when I first got my MPC. I didnt understand sequences yet....and then changed kits...totally mixed me up. But now I get it. ThX
this is exactly how i work inside ableton live & you brought it to the mpc ... it is indeed a game changer even though we knew this technique, i completely forgot it ... thanks dude for sharing this
Hi You have helped me so much with your tutorial videos. I so much appreciate you taking the time to show us. I own MPC, XSE but I also want to buy another MPC X is (it’sat very good price) Is there a benefit of having two MPC x and can you use them together in the studio. Would you use two of them?
You can do the same with maschine. Lots of inspiration from the expansion packs. Just copy the event, make new pattern and load event then sample, or you can hit the magnifying glas but that wil only give the sounds in the expansion pack. Not a maschine mpc post just a FYI for those that don’t have an mpc. Got a one and a plus and love em both!
Damn this is awesome bro being a beginner its hard for me too take all this in but man,bro this is some good teaching its really a lot i have to learn about the MPC with all these videos and tutorials out but thank you so much for just showing ppl like me who don't know the MPC world beat making really really appreciate you I wish you lived in New Orleans ⚜🙏
None of my expansions appear to have have demo sequences. I can see the sequence names, but when I open the piano roll after copying the sequence, there are no midi notes. Any suggestions?
Can u do a tutorial on microphone Recording vocals over instrumental? I know you can create entire song I don't want to go to studio when I have This workstation
Each pad you play on a drum program will become its one track. You can use pad mute but I recommend track mute so when you stem out your work everything’s separate
Interesting approach but not every drum expansion is going to have 8 bar sequences, especially when they're not from the official MPC store. I have drum expansions where there's a couple 4 bar sequences but it's just kind of like a soundcheck of each drum/cymbal/etc instead of a beat. Everyone is going to have a different work flow. I find it easier and faster to just write my drum parts from scratch like I do with every instrument. I never sample or steal from others to make my music. It probably helps that I play multiple instruments with drums being the one I've played most of my life. I can program drums on my MPC just as good as I can jump on a real acoustic or electronic drum kit & hit record. For me writing the beat or percussion parts is the easiest. I have more trouble with melodies and lyrics. I've learned that just writing from your gut without a care in the world what others think is the best way. Simple and slow can be just as good as fast and complicated.
It’s good fun is all 💯 I like to play audio tracks into mine but wanted to share the workflow 💯 I’m not that great at drums but I can play melodies so if you ever want a Collab we should link up
OK Mr. "everything I do is 100 percent created from my own head". I swear there's always one purist who thinks that "real artists" don't cheat, don't have shortcuts, hacks etc etc. Every artist that mass produces art has "cheats". Even DaVinci. So did Picasso. From The Doors to Jimi Hendrix to Dr.Dre, they all have shortcuts that purists would consider "cheating". Using that logic, let me ask you this; do you use drum kits? Cheating. Those drums didn't come from your head. Do you use instrument plugin presets? Cheating. You didn't design those sounds. The fact that you even watch "How to" youtube videos could be considered cheating using that logic. Your using someone else's ideas to improve your workflow. Use any loops in any of your music? Cheating. We could keep going all day. There was a time when musicians and music purists considered sampling cheating because of that same logic. An MPC is itself an instrument. We have tools at our disposal that make creating music so much more fun and interesting. I mean, I get it, he didn't "create" anything from scratch in this video. Or did he? He started with an empty project and through combining different sounds and using the tools at his disposal ended up with a beat. Broken down isn't that what music is? Say what you want about the beat he created in the video, but that second one he played was fire. Unorthodox, yes. Cheating, No.
@artkitectbeats1622 lol on point.. I went thru a period of thinking I'm cheating by using pre made midi patterns Then i realized who cares I'm just having fun.. No rules to fun .

This workstation
@@spongebobbygravyseals absolutely ASAP
When i heard the beat drop........ yhhhhhhh.
I was worried during the playback but it did come out 💯 I like to mix my own songs like this it’s a cool technique and it’s fun
What exactly does explode do and it's purpose
Each pad you play on a drum program will become its one track.
You can use pad mute but I recommend track mute so when you stem out your work everything’s separate
th-cam.com/video/GZbvqKCRTTQ/w-d-xo.html
Saves time I've been copying and muting

'sup Poli 🤗
That’s cheating.. it’s like letting the machine take your glory .. that’s not creating !!!
Just to have fun 💯 🎶

This took forever I could not follow at all sorry
I’ll definitely try to make another 💯 🎶
Not feeling this video at all you took to long to get to the point
Copy track one to track 2
Explode both tracks
Goto track mute
Mute all pads and bring them in one at a time 💯
Thanks for the share man I'm a total newbie gonna inspire even more bro ....respect 🥸
