I love the idea of squeezing the most out of what we already own. We don't always keep this in mind, but the limitations that can result from that are almost always quite freeing as they force us to come up with solutions that can end up helping us grow and get closer to mastering our set up, Great music as always, and loved the cameo! So sweet! Much love, friend!
Congrats on the masterclass! This video is a great reminder of investing time to learn and experiment -- your awareness and comfort with your equipment is truly impressive, watching your hands move across the modules deliberately is very impressive. Then comes along PLUS 3 -- fantastic how seamlessly and effectively it becomes part of the workflow. Very well done!!
I've bought the A4 several months ago but didn't have the time to dig in yet. So thank you for this video because it let's me see what kind of things this beast can do ! 😍
Different things : this is a passive expression control, very cheap and meant to be simple and easy to use, if you need more control I would definitely go with a shik n32 or fader fox, but that require lot of thinking and programming.
I been wanting a pedal like this since I got into music again, so that was an insta order. A quick question about the Mater Class, is it still worthwhile as a Logic user? It's exactly the kind of course I've been hoping for.
Hello! The idea behind the masterclass is showing how I record tracks in stereo format and then add more layers in the DAW. It is not Ableton focused, but that is the DAW I am using. In the project file you can pget the audio files, but it might be a good idea to prepare stems for other DAW. Will tell Rapidflow to do that!
@@OoraMusic Oh, that would be fantastic! RapidFire is new to me, I thought maybe it was Ableton-centric. Going to get the course now, and then hope for a similar Logic file, but I'm sure I'll get a ton out of it anyway. Thanks as always for taking the time to reply.
This video feels a little strange to me - it gives me the impression that it is a general synth tip and that the Plus 3 is doing much more that it is. This tip is almost Analog4 only because you rarely get any (or very few) setup options about expression pedals on any synths (maybe 3 - destination, minimum and maximu value). The Analog4 is awesome with its macros and the options that you use, so 95% is Analog4s capabilities and the last 5% is from 2 buttons and a slider, that you could solder yourself in 15 minutes - I might end up buying one myself eventually, but still... For most synths this product gets you almost nowhere (unless you have one parameter that is hidden in a submenu that you want direct access to when performing). A MIDI controller that have extensive setup could do this (and more) to every synthesizer.
This is the classic comment I get. One thing is what I do for work , another is the music I create as an artist, in which I use, since 5 years , the same two things. Also, you don't need to be a painter to think about paintings right?
@@OoraMusic Mostly just that you're talking about minimalism of gear in this vast room full of tiny gadgets , was the point. But it wasn't meant to be offensive. Just humor.
From the A4 manual: " Basically this is like a performance macro that you can control with CV or an expression pedal connected to the Control In 1 or Control In 2 input. ". So you basically get 2 extra macro controllers that are not rotary controls. One is a slider and one is a button. Both are always sitting on your desk ready to be manipulated and always in plain view. And you have the latch/hold switch as well. __You__ have to decide if it's worth it's price.
I believe there is too much focus on expressive sounds in electronic music these days but no intention on just making a good track with good ideas. It’s not like. Better music is being made because we have polyphonic after touch and things like it.. great music comes from simplicity and intention mostly.. nice we have all the tools for sure.. but still I come back to less is more most of the time.
I am a big Intention supporter, but the user interface of any instrument is Avery important. What we do is creating our instrument putting together the different parts, so any tools like this one can be really useful to help you translate better your intention. Obviously , to each his own :)
My first MASTERCLASS is out:

Thanks so much for making such lovely music with PLUS 3 (note to self: have wife in room when recording videos!)
:) she was actually far away but feeling my impasse!
And why not :-) Don't worry about any 'lack of professionalism', actually it's heartwarming to see such healthy family bonds.
2:52 adorable!
:)

Thanks mate! I am jealous of people that spend their life using only one instrument!
Your lil intro jams are some of my favorite music out here. Every time. Grateful for you and all you do✨
I appreciate that

Mrs. Oora! What a great energy she has, that was heartwarming! Nice of you to keep that in :-)
😊 thank you
Beautiful sounds as always, and you just took me that much closer to adding a A4mk2 to my setup. The Plus 3 looks good too, useful little gadget.
thanks!
haha the Wife part - was the best !

it is absolutely a beast
Great video, love the cameo and the track sounds amazing.
Glad you enjoyed it
I have your A4 soundpack. It has inspired me to create a lot of great music and encouraged me to dig really deep into the A4 👍
thanks!!
Gonna have to look really hard at this one - never knew that this was a possibility until just now. Thank you for your brilliant demo as always 😊😊😊
Hope you enjoy it!
Love the intro jam.
thanks
First track gave me Machinarium vibes!
:)
2:58 made me SMILE!!!
:)
Oora out here doing God's work 🙌🙌🙌
:)
Makes me think of the old blood noise endeavors - expression slider
yeah I remember that one!
Do you know if a black version is in the works?
don’t think so knowing endorphines stuff
Why not get a proper surface controller with more knobs, faders and buttons?
Different things : this is a passive expression control, very cheap and meant to be simple and easy to use, if you need more control I would definitely go with a shik n32 or fader fox, but that require lot of thinking and programming.
Does it work with simpler synths such as Volcas? Would it work with, say, the dreadbox nymphes?
this one would not work with nymphs, but you can use a midi cc controller with that one and get amazing stuff!
How could this be conected to a syntakt or digitakt?
It can't.
wont work with those

Did you connect the Plus 3 directly to the A4? Is the cable included with the Plus 3 out of the box? Thank you 🙏
yes cables
included and i went directly into a4
So this is an expression+sustain pedal in desktop format, right? The "magic" actually lies in the macro function of the elektron unit.
well, i never said the opposite did i?
Plus 3 vs Push 3?
lets get an Even 6

Obligatory question - does this pedal work with the A4 Mk1 in a similar way?
if it has cntrl input i guess so but we need to ask to someone that owns one
@@OoraMusic mitten sticks! MK1 doesnt, hmmm i wonder if there is another way to do this...
1:52 Minimalism? You have more gear than anyone on YT:)

Nice demo, but I don’t think the A4 needs this device, since you can already have multiple knobs that you can configure for macro’s
the more the merrier, plus here we have a slider and a push button, different feel !

Nettes Video aber kann man auch am guten Morgen Mischpult stummschalten und am Effektparameter drehen.
