After losing Tommy to injury our overall threat diminished completely & the momentum fizzled out , we could just not find any level of consistency against a solid city side !!! Glad to see paddy getting back to form & scoring the goal !!! We have to get back to winning ways at Swansea as these draws are not good enough FTM
Yes Wayne strange one last night , whole team looked flat ! RLB doesn’t seem to trust any of his subs when it was evident we needed a lift in the latter stages ,,, but my main puzzle is where has the crowd gone there was barely 30k there last night and they were dead all game you would think we were fighting relegation ? Yet every away game is sold out in 1 day . Never known a club with 2 different set of fans like ours ,, finally o9 was a big miss to our shape and intecety… roll on the weekend for a huge improvement
There was no atmosphere last nite at all this cud be due to so many things I e. Time if year ,can people afford two games in such quick succession , fans expectations, losing a key youngster like Tommy Watson. Missing L.O'nein big style . Alese wasn't on this game at all and he's not the same player since his injuries .
Can't disagree with the majority of how you saw it and said Wayne, losing Watson changed our threat altogether and leaving substitutions until late on doesn't help when players are tiring and needing a rest. In the case of Rigg I think he's probably the one most in need of rest and if he is then why can't Aouchiche step into his place, he's played there before and didn't let anyone down. Agree about Isidor staying upright too, goes down like a sack of taties as soon as he's challenged. Overall a very disappointing performance after dispatching Stoke so comfortably without scoring the glut of chances created, time to start showing fans and opposition alike the type of football they've shown not long ago and start putting teams to the sword. Good blog Wayne 👏🔴⚪
Unfortunately AGAIN we had some good chances in the 1st half but didn't get the luck infront of goal unlike they did for there goal it was like pinball machine and topically it fell to 1n of there players 😕... and it was a massive loss loosing Watson too possibly overall we only deserved a point TBH Wayne.. but hey bring on Saturday and less see where we are going into nxt year 🤞🤞🔝
The only positives to come from that game is the fact that we didn't lose and we've kept our unbeaten record at home intact, I've got mixed emotions after that cos in 1 hand I'm absolutely fuming with that 2nd half performance, honestly that 2nd half at times was a disgrace and again it's becoming a major issue, we can't play 2 half's the same and I'm sorry but if we don't put that right never mind top 2 we might struggle to finish in the top 6 if we don't start performing for a full 90 or near enough, first half I thought we controlled it and played some decent football at times but without really creating much, 2nd half like I said was awful, slow football, at times we looked like we ran out of ideas and aside from the goal our only real creativity we had was Mepham with those long balls, conceded another poor goal again, it's not all on Alese but 3 games in a row now he's been at fault to the last 3 goals we conceded and it's a shame cos up until the goal Alese was close to my MOTM but unfortunately he's making some big errors at the minute, timing of the subs was ridiculous again, I know Le Bris will get some credit cos a sub assisted Roberts but the way I see it is if Connolly and Aouchiche had come on 5-10 minutes earlier despite not playing great I think we could've won that, once we scored the momentum was with us and we nearly nicked it with that Ballard header but ultimately it was to late, I've said this many times but Le Bris needs to stop being so stubborn and make these changes a lot sooner cos yes the players have to do there job but a coach has to be proactive not reactive and at the moment as much as I do like the bloke and he's done a great job so far he's a reactive coach and it's gonna hurt us long term if he doesn't change, going forward I think Aouchiche and Connolly need and deserve more game time, Isidor is low on confidence at the moment and needs to come out for a bit, same with Rigg as well, I will say 1 good thing to come out of last night, as much as he's been shocking for majority of the season so far I thought Dan Neil was absolutely outstanding, in that 2nd half he was the only one that had any real urgency, he was breaking up the play countless times and he was trying to get us going, last 2 games has been much more like it from Dan and I want to see that every game, overall points dropped, didn't take advantage of Burnley slipping up and Sheffield United not playing til later but at least we didn't lose and if we beat Swansea on Saturday then u can accept last night as a decent point
Big question marks starting to show over Le Bris we are worse since his coach arrived Dodds seams to get the blame but I'm not sure he was here when we played good there have been injuries but not that many
Very fair summary of that awful performance. Only thing I disagree with are your marks out of 10. Max 5 for effort for aĺl of them. Other comments. Mayenda is never a winger play him as a two with Wilson up front especially at home. We have 3 in center mid and never dominate it Jobe Rigg Neil not good enough for me. I see a team that is coached to death. They try and play themselves out of every situation becoming predictable and slow qllowing opposition to get organised in defence. When you have players like Neil who have trouble controlling the ball it breaks down. Can see us doing what we did last season and dropping like a stone. Wilson needs someone along side him. I would like to see Rusyn next to him upfront with two in center mid. Also like to see Bennette on bench to come on on the left. Worrying about manager seems indecisive leaving things too late.
As has been the case recently, we fall away in the second half. This stinks of poor game management. Subs too late, no change in tactics on the field. Look how Bristol managed the game in the 2nd half....subs at half time and more during the 2nd half AND tactical changes on the field that completely screwed us. I am now starting to worry about the extent to which RLB & co. can address this situation. Are they capable enough? I thought Jobe & Neil did give all they could but Cerkin didn't realise he was playing!
@@malcolmdonnison3987We created plenty against Stoke, in that game we had 24 shots and 10 on target, last night we didn't have our 2nd shot on target until 70+ minutes, we had plenty of the ball but aside from a Isidor header in the first half, the goal and a late Ballard header we didn't really cause them enough problems
Finally Pat Roberts did something and scored, breaking his duck . We had no luck with the ref and officials either as we should have had two penalties . .
We have a lot of kids playing to be fair was what I meant look what happened to Watson last night fuck knas why they soaked the pitch before the game or am I missing something

Agree Rigg looked Knackered 4 changes for weekend Cirkin, Onien, Rigg, Isidore, for Alesi, Ballard, Alchi, Connolly
First half I thought we did okay but second half IMO our manager was out-managed by Manning. At the end of the day a point is a point.

Poor performance, need to pass quicker !! Need to make a couple of changes for next game defo. MOM Neil thought Achi looked good when he come on.

Jobes great but kept the ball to long at times
Play Mayenda up front.

Disagree with these comments as we created lots of chances but luck was against us .

Dan Neil again doesn't do anything no goals no idea
To. Be fair Saturday s game was hard playing in that wind and rain could have took it’s toll Wayne ⚪️🔴🌑
Ditto Bristol City at Pompey.
There was more rain and wind at Portsmouth
We have a lot of kids playing to be fair was what I meant look what happened to Watson last night fuck knas why they soaked the pitch before the game or am I missing something
