For a song that was only written to be 20 minutes long, not exactly a feature in a setlist, this was amazingly well-done. It's such a disjointed track and you did it more than justice. Maybe do Meshuggah's I next, which is in a similar vein...I kid lol
Easily my favorite song on Morningrise,I love the record even knowing the problems,I listen Black Rose Immortal several times while playing the Witcher 3 for the first time and is a amazing memory Thank for the video Leo, for sure the transcription took a lot of time I was hoping see the taping riffs Mendez did in the last tour, but is nice see the original Material
I think I mainly played on the bridge pickup which is a big part of the tone. As for settings, very normal settings really. Maybe a bit more treble than usual. nothing too fancy. No effects used
I suppose he did. I'm sure as hell not going to cover a 20 minute track on a fretless lol. And most of the track does not sound like it's played on a fretless.
Thank you so much for covering old opeth songs, these are some of the bands best songs of all time. Well done.
No problem :)
12:24 bless you
And you have delivered yet again! Great video, Leo
Thank you :)

Thank you very much!
All super old Opeth is disjointed and horribly structured lmao
Oh, man. Thanks again for more Opeth, especially for Black Rose Immortal
A pleasure :)
I looove you man, I've been searching for good tabs for this song for years
Glad I can help :)
the absolute dedication

the tapping is in the original, mendez nailed almost all of de farfalla’s parts
Please, someone send it to Opeth, so they can learn their own song again! Amazing job!
You're a real one for this, homie
Holy shit Leo, good job! I might give this a shot myself
Thank you!
Amazing work man!!
Thank you very much!
Thank you for this! So fun to listen to
Bass forward BRI is boss for sure. The bass licks are so tasty. Good job covering this monster.
Yup! Thank you :)
Oh wow what a treat! You really blessed us today :)
Great work, thanks a lot. I literally bought 5stings bass just to play this song
Oh wow, good luck! It's a tough one
YES ILY LEO!!
FINALLY
Absolute mad lad ❤
Im totally here for 1:27 😎
Ever thought of doing Termor Christ by Pearl Jam. It has a very good bassline.
I really prefer Mendez but the bass lines on this album are amazing
Impressive
JOHAN MY GOAT
First thing I noticed was that you didn't do the tapping like Méndez's doing these days
Oh well, doesn't matter, you're GOD
I'll always stick to the original first :)
in the studio verson im very sure johan was actually tapping
well johan actually does bass tapping like in nectar so im psure 0:20 is supposed to be tapping 🙀
You are amazing bro lml
Thanks José!
Can you please say a few words about setting up the sound of your bass? How did you achieve that tone? I will be grateful

Just something that come in my head today, Johan didn't record Morningrise with Fretless??
I suppose he did. I'm sure as hell not going to cover a 20 minute track on a fretless lol. And most of the track does not sound like it's played on a fretless.
he used a 4 string fretless in orchid and a 6 string fretless in morningrise
20 MINUTES
Isnt there tapping in the intro?
Defarfalla > Mendez
I think defarfalla is more creative and unique, but Mendez is solid, holds everything together like glue and has a great groove. I like both of them.
