Considering that Hulk Hogan has lived in the Clearwater area for decades and is one of the most ludicrous humans on the planet, (he once wrestled 400 days in one year), I am honestly shocked it took him this long to get suckered into Scientology.
To be fair isn't that 400 days in a year in reference to the guys legitimately having to wrestle twice on Saturdays and Sundays? I don't know maybe I'm being naive lol.

It's something about traveling from Japan to The States and back. In Hogan's brain since they're a day ahead he somehow managed that he worked 400 days a year.

Remember that famous time at Wrestlemaina 3000 when he bodyslamed the 55498 foot 9486 pound Xenu in front of the entire universe and the intergalactic counsel of leaders brother?
The real story is that L. Ron Hubbard was a HUGE Hulkamaniac back in the day. He used to watch Hogan wrestle in Memphis in person back then. One day, he actually got to sit down and talk with Hollywood, and that's when he told L. Ron Hubbard, the Xenu story. Xenu was also a huge Hulkamaniac, and he used to take his spaceship to see Hulk wrestle, which is how Hulk knew about him. Xenu was tight with Elvis, and Elvis was the one to get him into wrestling.
When L. Ron Hubbard got the story he started up the Scientology religion, but because Hogan didn't pick up one of his phone calls (he was flying back in time to wrestle in Japan so he wasn't able to call L. Ron Hubbard back) Hogan was cut out of the religion.
Just ask Hogan about all of this, and he'll tell you!

In the season 9 episode "Trapped In The Closet", they break down the whole story there, complete with text at the bottom of the screen during the entire deal saying "This story is real" or something to that effect. They even did a callback to this by displaying the same disclaimer during the Super Adventure Club story
