They are such a visual couple! Love that K-pop idols are being open in their sexuality. Especially in a country where homosexuality is taboo.
Its truly a brave act of her to come out in front of a mass people esp when ur in spotlight. It takes guts and courage to take that step and we should truly appreciate and respect her decision. Every individual have different preferrence and as long as they're happy it's totally fine. I hope in the future there wouldn't be a word such as 'coming out' I want people to acknowledge and consider them as a normal without any labeling afterall Love is Love🌈

Gender identity and sexual preferences is indeed different.
Gender identity is what you think of your current gender. While sexual preferences is what gender of someone else is your preferences.
Example: I born with a female gender, but I think of myself as a man, I want to be a man, I feel uncomfortable being a woman. This is called gender identity.
However, even though I identify myself to be a man, for my partner, I want to be with a man, now, this is called sexual preferences.
To make simple, it is “Man in woman’s body (gender identity) who loves man (sexual preferences)”.
……
Now, in this case of this idol, She is a female, and she gender identify herself as a female/woman. And her sexual preferences is females/woman. Make it simple, she is “a woman in woman’s body who loves woman” or both gender because she said she is bi.

Another example: A person’s biological gender identified as male/man, but they themselves identify their own gender as female/woman. That called gender identity. And then the one they likes are man, that called sexual preferences.
In other word they are “woman in man’s body who loves man”.
