On this Tuesday in the heart of the Riverbend, we kick the morning off with Rusty Wheat! It's been a while since we caught up with the Chain Gang, and he will fill us in on his latest progress, and other topics that are on his mind. At 10:35, we are talking all things Happy Hooves Equine Rescue! We will learn all about this amazing organization and the work they do each and every day. PLUS Susan will fill us in on ways we can support them!
Our Daily Show is a daily call-in show dedicated to the Riverbend Community! From 9-11 AM/Monday-Friday, you'll be able to hear and contribute to conversations with area leaders/business owners/entertainers, and share what's on your mind! #Alton #Nasello #ourdailyshow #riverbend #live #livestream #livenews

Thank you, Elle! I love being able to remind people that we need to be educated enough to be able to ask the right questions to get the answers from the experts (or not?!)

"Or not" has often been the outcome for me for my rescue kids.. and for me. Unfortunately, I usually have to find my own answers. Don't get me wrong. I love the docs.. they are well educated in diagnostics, reporting numbers and treating symptoms with pharmaceuticals, but they are not whole body or wellness experts.

@moelleobrien2718 I agree! They have their strengths for sure. As a rescue, the ONLY way to keep costs down is to do a lot of treatments ourselves otherwise we could only help one animal and there still wouldn't be enough food to feed everyone. Vet bills will put a rescue under.
