I’ve recently bought a 30ml bottle of Lira from Twisted Lily as the 30ml size is unavailable in Australia. It’s due to arrive this week and I’m so excited! I also agree that it doesn’t smell like a lemon cookie, though there’s definitely an edible cake and icing sweetness on my skin.
If you want a really pleasant, easy to like and wearable citrus gourmand, try Lemon Sherbet from 4160 Tuesdays. It’s a beautiful tangy lemon and vanilla musk scent, I wear it to the gym because it’s just so comforting and uplifting 😊
Loubirouge is so good and it's inoffensive. Everyone loves it and it's never too much. As you said, it is an easy wearing fragrance.
How is the lasting power? I wanted to snag a CL fragrance before the Saks beauty sale is over
@@Phaphane06 I would say it is moderate. It is not great for the money. You have to overspray or refresh it if you want it to last. I have three Loubiworld fragrances and I have multiple samples of the other ones. Honestly all seven are good and are worth the money to me because of the DNA. I don't think you will be disappointed by Loubirouge. It's universally appealing and a serious compliment getter. But it is not beast mode in any way. Also it looks really big but it is 90ml.
My top 5 are: Tom Ford Lost Cherry 🍒, Noir Pour Femme, Chanel Coco Noir, Kayali Invite only Amber, Delina Esclusf
Mine are- MFK-Grand soir, Initio- atomic rose and side effect, Kilian-princess(I like it more than love) and Tom Ford-Santal blush(oh and Delina 😂)

Usually if it's designer, not really niche, but higher end, I call it luxury. So I have designer, luxury, niche and indie.

yes absolutely! I grouped them together. I guess I could have called it Luxury as well; I guess to many people in the world, even a "basic" lower end designer is still luxury - but yes I totally feel you :). When I was 20, having a discounted Armani Si would have still been considered luxury to me :)

Great picks! I love Bleu Turquoise as well but it is so strong that I can only wear it once in a while--and I only have a sample. Your description of it in this video and in the dedicated video in the past is perfect. Definitely a rich seaside spa type of scent. It's so salty and vanilla caramel like. Totally unique. I actually bought Bleu Lazuli instead and love that one - find it very easy to wear.

I had a sample of Lira after the first time I saw you talking about it and I liked it more than Love dont be shy by Kilian,but it didnt impress me. A few days back I had the opportunity to buy a partial bottle and the price was good so I went for it,OMG, it smells so much better than the sample,I am so glad I got it. One of my best purchases. In the sample I couldnt feel the red orange in the beginning but from the bottle I can smell it and its beautiful.
I think my top 5 would have to be Byredo Gyspy Water, Diptyque Eau Duelle EDT, Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt, MFK BR540 EDP, and the 7 Virtues Vanilla Woods. Honourable mention to VC&A Orchidee Vanille (not sure if it's considered niche or not!)

I’m just on a huge Chanel kick. Only purchase in the past few weeks was a 2018 red bottle of No 5 L’eau, I consider it my new signature. All I want to wear lately is Chanel (I now have 7) and I’ve tried some new niche samples in between but.. nothing worth trying again.
High end designer favs: Rouge Malachite, Oranges Bigarades, Must de Cartier Parfum (vintage).

I just blind bought Loubirouge, and…. I don’t know. I like it, but I’m not sure I love it. The cardamom note is beautiful, but it’s definitely more floral than I was anticipating. It’s a very sophisticated and feminine fragrance, but not sure it’s for me. I might sell it and get Loubidoo instead, which is a beautiful sweet rose scent. Also have Changing Constance on the way as another blind buy :)
Never really heard a lot about Bleu Turquoise, might need to visit a boutique tonight :)

I just blind bought Contre Moi and it wasn’t what I expected at all, on my skin it’s all green and powdery? No sweetness at alll. Would you say Contre Moi or Attrapes Reves is sweeter for you? I would only get Attrapes Reves if it’s sweeter as that’s what I was after initially

So I bought a bottle of KAYALI vanilla 28 and the smell is so strong at first it actually made me sneeze.The smell is beautiful,I really looove it, but within minutes it disappears.I covered myself with it, on my hair, on my clothes, on my skin.I cant wrap my head around it. I see the juice in your bottle is darker. Will it get better in time from maceration and it will become more long lasting? What do you think?
Hi Ilythia! Great selection😍 I also love Armani Prive Blue Turquoise 🥰 I sampled Loubirouge because of your description and then found a lot of people say it's similar to Changing Constance. Since now you have both are they really similar?
I don't find Loubirouge similar to Changing Constance at all!!! Changing constance is a sweet, spicy caramel scent it's more masculine leaning and the type of spice is a real firey kick not a soft woody spice. Loubirouge has this soft spiciness almost like the inside of an old house (in a good way), and is powdery, not sweet, and feminine. They're very different!!!

I really tried to make Bleu Turquoise work, but it is just too masculine for me. The marine accord is too noticeable throughout the wear. I tried to make it work on clothes as well. Contre Moi may work though, thank you.
I'm sorry you found that with it - I find it super feminine and I'm someone who really doesn't like smelling masculine, but I guess everyone's nose will perceive it differently. :)
Question, how much better is LDBS extreme than the original? My skin chemistry does not get along with the original one. If it's more rose dominant that would be perfect! For some reason the combo of orange blossom and jasmine don't work well on me. 🤷🏻♀️ I like the level of sweetness, just not the notes of the original.
it totally depends - I'm not saying it IS better, I just prefer it more. Some people prefer the original one. The LDBS extreme to me is just so feminine, powdery, sweet, it's similar to the OG but less neroli/caramel/sugar sweet and more rose/marshmallow sweet. :). that's the best way I can put it.

I had a sample of Lune Feline and no the are very different. It would be a good choice!!! It is very smooth, vanilla, powdery, a bit woody - it has no harshness, no real spicy "kick" like what youd' find with pimento or something. It's just rich smooth vanilla luxury :)
