I’m glad you put the passenger seat in, it now looks complete ❤️
Dude thanks for your tutorial vids. I appreciate your work man. I’m a new sti owner and your vids are like my car manual.
Keep up the good work man.
Quality ✅, styling ✅, comfort for me 🤔? as I never have sat in one, material cover selections ✅, colour options ✅, safety with airbag ✅, safety without airbag ❌, heated ✅, Recaro stitched prominently on seat ❌, price ❌. But you like them and that is what counts. And hopefully your wife to when she takes your Subie for a spin.
Awesome seat man yeah I just got the Recaro Topline sport black on black leather heated and cooled I can't wait to install it
You can also disable that seatbelt light along with the chime by turning the auxiliary power on then putting the driver seatbelt in and out of the buckle 20 times within 30 seconds. turn the car off and then back on and light should be gone :)
Yes, I mentioned that in the video. I was under the assumption it turned off the chime, but not the light. If that’s the case, headed to the garage right now and doing it haha.
EDIT: just tried it and you are correct. Light and chime turned off. Canceling my order for the clips now! Thanks for the tip.
@@Autofreakgarage Sorry I paused it right before you mentioned that haha, but yeah it disables the light as well. worked like a charm in my STI
Good vid. The seat covers come off of these very easily. It takes under 15 mins and no tools are needed except of a t15 and a bone tool. If you want to retrofit the heaters let know i canbwalkbyou through it. I just did it on my seats.
It looks nice bro wish it was like that from factory...
Very informative video. I have been eyeing these for a while but that price tag is no joke. How is the reclining mechanism? It looks to be a knob?
Yes there is a knob on the side of each seat.
Looks awesome bro!!! 👌🏼
let's gooo!!! they look miiiint... I did the black and reds, are you interested in selling the stock seats tho?
Yes, I would sell the stock seats. Local only.
Tem o link desse suporte que encaixa perfeitamente na furacão original do STI ?
These are my dream seats too! By any chance, do you have specific values on how much lower the seats are compared to stock? I'm 5' 7" and my only concern is that these seats with this specific set of mounting hardware will actually be too low for me to drive comfortably. For me, I always wished that the stock seats would sit 1.5"-2" lower.
I’m not sure just how much lower from stock but it’s fairly drastic. My shoulder is below the top of the door card. I’m 6’ and fear if I was any shorter, I would have trouble driving. My buddy who is around 5’9 couldn’t see over the wheel.
@@Autofreakgarage Appreciate the quick response! It seems then that the safest thing for me to do is look into some spacers for the seats. Quite interesting to find out too that the reason the OEM seats are so high are actually due to the thick seat bottom and not the chassis design.
Kinda wish there was a bit more info out there for the S207 and S208 seats which are also Sportster seats. Based on photos that I can find, the OEM positioning for those seats has the top of the thigh bolster at the same height as the centre console, which I'm guessing is more suitable for Japanese folk who are on average around my height. With your hardware, it is definitely a lot lower.
Awesome seats!! That's one very expensive Subaru STI... ;)
Wow I’m in Australia wish I could buy your passenger seat aka my drivers seat looks mint condition
Haha it’s hardly ever sat in!
Hell yea!
Whats your vac and pressure washer setup in your garage. Garage tour??

Pw is a greenworks 2000. It’s all in the description below.
5k for seats 😯 what do you do for a living I'm still trying to save up for a shift knob lol
What shift knob are you saving up for that's that expensive? lol
@@xil3ntkha0s raceseng... lol
@@BDA0531 ok lol they're worth the price but it'd be better if they were just a bit more affordable. I picked mine up when they had the BF sale last year. Probably best time to buy it you're waiting.
@@xil3ntkha0s I'm trying to get a Billetworkz one it's just the exchange rate and shipping because I'm Canadian so I'm pretty much paying double it sucks lol
I just got a hold of a driver and passenger seat. Found them in the west coast. I’m looking into the carbon fiber backs. But all I find are backs for the Recaro sportster CS. Will they fit the GT seat, being that they are both sportster models?
Yes they are both the same seat. Fits both cs and gt.
Do you know of any recaro thin side-knobs other than the cantrell knobs? The OEM knobs are too big.
I don’t but I am sure there are other slimmer options out there.
How is the lumbar support with these seats? Would it be good with long drives?
The support all around is great. I am more comfortable in these seats ok longer drivers than the stock seats.
if only disconnected the negative terminal, does it still reset the ecu? back to bogging feeling?
It does not reset the ecu entirely. Any map/tune you are running stays loaded.
Did you ever use the heat elements at all?
No I never used that in these seats. You can option these out from recaro with heat though.
Did you happen to weigh the stock vs Recaro's?
I didn’t. I’d say a good 10lbs difference between the two. Especially the driver seat since it has motors for the electronic seats.
Anyone know what happens if you don’t swap in the oem occupancy sensor into the aftermarket seat?
Airbag will always be off on the passenger side no matter if someone is sitting in it or not. Also, the airbag light will remain on the dash.
you miss the sti at all?
Not at all
Big sheeeesh
Do you know if the sparco seat mount will fit the recaro sportster gt?
Most of the seat brackets have multiple applications. I never tried them so not 100% sure though.
I found 2 sparco brackets left and right for 150 it’s a steal but hate to waste the money if they don’t fit and my mind is 100% set on the sportster gt seats lol
I would just get the planted brackets then. They are about 140ish each and they fit 100%.
Are they actual leather or fake?
This is the real leather version. They sell a cheaper one with vinyl, but these are the real leather ones.
Might look better replacing all the alcantara with leather. The center console arm rest looks out of place
His center console, shift boot, handbrake boot, shift knob, and steering wheel are all alcantara though 😂
Just cut the harness it’s easier brah
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯💯💯
Just know the air bags can still go off up to 45min after you disconnect the battery, some time even longer than 45min. Just a disclaimer for anybody planning on doing this.
would you be interested in selling the stock seats? I could use a spare set for when mine are worn out.
Yes, only local though. DM me on Instagram if you are interested.
