- Don't let the Racing to End Alzheimer's livery fool you, its no racecar. You're about to watch the fastest street car to ever lap VIR, period. The BimmerWorld M4 GTMore project car started with a goal to start with a production car and turn it into a track weapon that remained street legal, while performing at or below the same lap times of a BMW Motorsport M4 GT4. Well, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED...and then some. All while having a non-stripped interior, factory stereo, A/C, carpet, minimal weight reduction in general, tagged, insured, and 100% street legal. Same car that did the One Lap of America and put over 3,500 miles on street and track driving!
This is our last test day with our beloved F82 M4 GTMore project car at our home track, Virginia International Raceway. We had to clear our schedules to make sure we could accomplish this much needed test day to dial the car in and finally see where the GTMore lands on lap time on a max effort attempt. It absolutely blew us away with the results. Even with a massive weight disadvantage over the factory built, homologated, competition only Motorsport GT4, it was a worthy competitor and would not only beat a GT4s lap time, but several BIG money supercars at half or a quarter the price tag.

This is a VERY cool project and idea!! I think its ethos is similar to what the current GT2 category provides in terms of better aero and more power. It's just awesome :) keep up the great work

Good stuff James. Was hooked out of 1 on the fresh tires, coulda maybe gone with the tighter rear bar after all. ;-). Limited time/tires I'm sure.

What throttle settings was he using? Efficient, sport, sport+? I know most use sport+
I believe it was in Sport +, but at a high HP level some are known to use a less aggressive throttle mode to have a little more control at partial throttle. James' brain to foot is pretty highly calibrated though so he makes it all work.

A prototype part that we were also testing on this car. Soon to be listed for sale on BimmerWorld's website.
What turbos are guys running? When is the fuel starve kit going to be out?
Currently on Pure Stage 2+ and the fuel starve kit will be live on the BimmerWorld website in a day or so. This was the final test and it's been approved to go live and be available ASAP. I'll link you here when its officially live on the site.

I wonder how this compares to PhD's TA Supra performance wise.
Jimmy ran hyperfest in 2021.
He'd normally be on a 200TW 275 or 285 wide tire.
Looks like he got a 1:55.239 on Friday (don't think he stayed to compete Sat & Sun)
I think the car got another 100 hp in the years afterwards. But with what we have to look at, the Supra is down on speed at the end of the straights 5-10mph.
IIRC Jackie has bested GT4 times as well... by a smidge.
Actual GT4 cars tend to be ~3000 lb, 400 hp and ~305 Slicks.

What was the solution for fuel starve issues?
We've created our own in-tank solution that will be released this coming week. This was our last test to make sure we achieved what we were looking for and it passed with flying colors. As always we want to thoroughly test what we sell and make sure its the best option on the market. Test phase is done and we will have it listed on the website in the next couple of days.

If it didn't have a bunch of stickers it would be easier to believe, but it truly is a street car...just currently with a lot of stickers.
