To be honest, i feel that auto brightness doesn't really help with the battery life as it will usually brighten up the screen to 80 to 90 percent brightness when you only need 60 to 70 percent to be able to see what you're doing on your phone. And most of the time the auto brightness stay higher for a longer period which consume the battery life. So having a consistent brightness level and manually adjusting the brightness accordingly will save more battery than using auto brightness.
Great tips, I actually prefer dark mood I usually set the timer which works great . Oh and black wallpaper saves battery. Also use your jobs free wifi saves date and battery
One thing I always do no matter what the phone is, I disable notifications on all apps except the ones I really need. Setting the AOD to a fixed low brightness is also good for battery life since you're only likely to use it indoors. I'm getting 7.5 hours screen on time using the 120hz refresh rate, so I'm pretty happy with this phone.
German youtuber charges it only every 2nd day...read a lot of tests. I read reviews of s21 fe where battery time was actually a PRO instead of Con. So...i am only in day 5. With battery saving mode i managed to get from 8 am to 12 next day. Without only to 8 pm same day. Its such a nice phone...the romantic side in me believes battery time will improve over the next weeks...
Since I feel like the 888 is overkill and power hungry, do you think that keeping the CPU capped at 70% speed with dark mode would at least hit 7 hours at 60hz?

I just got this phone a few days ago and greatly disappointed in the battery life and screen. I live in a warm climate (Thailand) and the screen will dim if it gets too warm outside, which is basically always. 3 minutes in the sun and the brightness goes to lcd levels or worse. Does anyone know how to open up background apps while in the gesture mode? I like the gestures but for some reason when i swipe up from the bottom it wont bring the open background apps? If I change it back to the navigation buttons at the bottom then of course it brings that stuff up

I had mine for 5 weeks and it drains heavily even when its on standby. As soon as i have the chance i will switch. And i came from an iphone 11 which i thougt it didnt have good battery but this one is really really bad. Wouldn recommend buying!

But is it really great or do you think it's a gimmick? maybe for S or note phones it's not. I'm trying to replace my laptop with Samsung Dex and Office works the same with Dex and regular Tablet Mode. It's ok but some features aren't working. I tried the office android app and the office browser version and for me the browser version works better (or more windows like). For simple word, excel and powerpoint stuff it's working good enough. Biggest problem for me is the bad file system and somehow I cant sync dropbox or onedrive so I always have to sync manually my files.
@@chroesu I think google drive (& google docs mobile suite ) is the best solution for you. You can always download files from google when you are at your primary computer . This is not problem of Samsung alone. I think if google made file handling easier, it would reflect on samsung. However, google has kind of given up on tablets, so I'm thankful to samsung for keeping up. iPad also have the same problem. They don't have full version of office. Or you can use chrome remote desktop (& use your windows programs directly on tab) Or use it as a second screen Hope that helps 🙏

I'm not sure if I should get the s20 Fe or the s21 Fe..... I've heard from some people that the s21 Fe battery drains a lot faster due to the overclocked Snapdragon 888 processor. Plus, I don't like how they removed the SD card slot on the s21 Fe. The s21 Fe seems like a great phone and everything I just don't think paying the extra $300 is worth it if all you get is an upgraded processor that overheats the phone, and a slightly better display. Cricket is selling the s20 Fe for $400, so I think I'm just going to go with that one. 👍( Or I could always wait for the price to go down on the s21 Fe. )

Battery life has been consistently between 5.5-6Hrs. with AOD turned off, and refresh rate set to 120Hz, with display set to go off after 5 minutes. The reason I steer clear of the 60Hz standard refresh rate, is because OneUI is such a bloated mess of a user interface, and am afraid switching to 60Hz. will really sour my experience with this device, which has been great, thus far. My s20 plus sucked so bad because it had an exynos variant. After many software updates till now I didn't realise the phone lasted well. When I switched to s21 fe Holy shit the phone sucks in battery life. Everytime I'm out I have a mini panic inside me that the phones gonna die.

Charging more often between 20-80 is much better than charging less often between a wider range
What I used to do was top my phone off at 90% and not let it get any lower then 25

@@justgocoolla Same for my samsung a70 but atleast the battery lasted long ash i could get a solid 9 hours out of it with this at most i can get 5-6 hours and even becomes less when i’m outside since i’m using my 5g data and bluetooth…..the other day i went out the house with 59% and when i was on my way back home my phone literally died on me ( this was all in the span of 4 hours btw) with my a70 i could atleast still survive for an hour with 5% if i turned on battery saving mode.
I feel I can 100% say my battery on my S21FE is the worst. I charge this phone atheist 4 times a day
