I ordered the Star wars Rogue one per your channel and the quality is noticeable. I have Disney plus and have seen the movie several times. I have a 5.2.4 home theater and I'm always trying to get the most out of it, not just picture quality but mostly sound quality. I also wanted the star wars Solo as well but Amazon didn't seem to have it in 4K ultra. Thanks for the updates but on another note, I just looked on Amazon for the 4K Calibration disc and it says that it's unavailable and don't know when it'll be available but I wanted to ask,is the Disney WOW any good?
To answer your question, NO🚫 the Disney WOW HD disc is not going to help anything with correctly or professionally calibrating your 4K TV & 4K Player! Other than the 4K calibration disc I shared, I would suggest looking into a getting your 4K TV professionally calibrated this is especially important if you have a high end / Top Tier 4K TV & 4K player! Thanks for letting me know, I'll take another look, but when I was searching for it I only seen the blu ray copy and not the 4k ultra. As far as the mandalorian, I'm thinking about it. Although I buy movies more so than series but I would probably get the book of boba Fett before getting the mandalorian.
Great review! Just purchased both seasons today. I’m ever more psyched to watch them after seeing the side-by-side comparisons in your video. It’s crazy how much better the images are on the 4K discs. Can’t wait to purchase season 3 as well as The Book of Boba Fett and Obi-Wan Kenobi on 4K!

For those interested, I got Babylon 5 the complete series on Bluray, the other day. The picture quality of the video is much better than the Widscreen DVD sets from years ago, it's back to being 4:3 the way it was originally Televised. The original effects have been cleaned up, but not redone, they have just been upconverted to look better on your HD TV's, their still the original 90s cgi effects. Sometimes in an effects shot, the motion of the CG looks jerky for some reason, it's not too bad, the later seasons of the show have better CG work. The Pilot episode The Gathering however, the video quality of it, looks bad, it's for some reason stretched to be Widscreen? not sure why. Not cleaning up of this episode has been done, it looks like they put a rip of the old DVD on it, but stretched the image? The quality of the whole is just bad, the image just seems to be all jerky all through the whole episode, my old DVD copy of The Gathering looks way better. As for the extras, there are none, no behind the scenes documentaries etc... so if you own the old DVD sets, you might want to hold on to the Discs that contain the special features on them, you also might want to hold onto the Set that contains all the Babylon 5 movies, because none of those movies like In the Beginning, Thirdspace and Call to Arms is included in this set. I'm happy with the purchase though, I mean we can finally say we got Babylon 5 on the Bluray! who thought that was even going to happen. It would be nice though if this sells really well, maybe down the line we might get a rerelease of this set with new Documentaries? or maybe they just make a Separate Disc with all new full length Documentaries and old archival ones? Anyways, I look forward to your review of it Mr. Expert from In Search of Physical Media.
Thanks for letting us know Jon, there aren't many reviews of the Bluray Box set of Babylon 5 up on the internet for some reason. I'm gonna buy it, the price is really reasonable considering that sets of Star Trek on Bluray are like $100 each season. Too bad about the extras though, oh well, we can always watch all those great Documentaries online about the making of the whole show that fans have made within the past few years.

For some reason my Amazon pre-order isn't coming until the weekend (and Series 2 doesn't launch in the UK until January), but I'm looking forward to it. Physical media will always beat streaming.

In other words why bother buying the best 4k tv with hdr and dolby vision when we won't be watching the best image we can get with what we bought for watching films if we won't be able to buy the 4k films and getting shafted with less quality streaming films instead so they can make money for themselves out of our own expenses it's a con

I keep hearing about how these releases are Limited Edition. But does that mean the steel book versions? Do you know if there will be releases with regular cases coming out later?

I hope it's brighter because on Disney plus it's horrible a lot of scenes television might as well be off. That is why I canceled disney plus was pointless.

Do you know why my discs are darker than streaming? Everything just seems so damn dark comparatively. I'm using a 4K player on an HDTV. Shows HDR-->SDR on the screen. Is that why is dark?
Hi so I just bought the Panasonic DP-UB820 player and one of the main features I bought it for was because of the region free capability. But I can’t figure out how to do it. Do you know how to utilize it on your player? I also bought it from the link you provided and listed as the best overall player you have.
The region-free thing is for the 4K Blu-ray discs themselves, those are all region-free. You don’t have to do anything. However, regular Blu-ray discs that are not labeled 4K will be region locked, unfortunately.
@@robedwards9036 Yeah, unfortunately you won’t be able to play Blu-rays and DVD from regions that are different from your player. You’d have to buy a region-free player, but personally I don’t know how much I would trust those to work properly.
@robedwards9036 when you put in a disc and it gets to "region not compatible", press Stop then press Top Menu. You may have to do it several times. Keep it mind it doesn't work with every Blu-ray, but most do.

Just wanted to ask. Are the blu ray versions of these the same exact quality in all aspects as the 4k? (Other than the extra pixels, obviously).

Just pop in the 4K disc into your player. As long as the disc is labeled 4K, it should be region-free. You don’t have to change any settings.
The 4Ks are fine because I’ve already watched a 4K that came out in the UK. It’s the Blu-rays and DVDs I’m having the issue with.

@robedwards9036 when you put in a disc and it gets to "region not compatible", press Stop then press Top Menu. You may have to do it several times.
Keep it mind it doesn't work with every Blu-ray, but most do.
