The chant may have been inspired by the film released in 2006. Some believed the chant was first used by fans of Scottish club Motherwell F.C., while others suggest it had been performed by fans of the French club Lens more than two decades prior. Fans of the Greek side PAOK have also chanted "PAOK" on the clap of hands since the mid 1990s. The version by Motherwell fans was passed on to the Icelandic fans when Motherwell faced Icelandic team Stjarnan in a Europa League game in 2014, and Icelandic fans then used it for the Iceland national team. During the UEFA Euro 2016, Iceland performed unexpectedly well and reached the quarter-finals, and the performance of the chant by their fans drew the attention of other European fans, who then also performed the chant. It has since been adopted by fans in many countries worldwide.

Another phenomenon of football chanting was "Will Grigg's on Fire" - Grigg, a striker, was scoring goals for fun at Wigan Athletic and one of their fans made up a song. His country, Northern Ireland took him to Euro 2016 - it was so popular that even opposition fans joined in, much to the annoyance of the manager, Michael O'Neil, who refused to play Grigg.
    Hence, louder chanting 👍🏼😂

Actually, that exact thunderclap and chant was invented by the fans of Scottish Premier League's club Motherwell, when some Icelandic fans went there for whatever reason in 2014, saw it and fell in love with it. However, Styrmir Gislason, the head of the Association of Icelandic Football Fans, told Danish newspaper Jyllands Posten, the celebration may have come from a Polish handball team.
Either way, it probably shouldn't come as a surprise that the Vikings robbed it off somebody. That's what they're supposed to to after all, right?

If you’re going to watch football related videos then look for the Ireland fans singing The Fields of Athenry vs Spain in 2012. Remember the team were losing 4-0 at that stage and going out of the competition( or just watch any video of the fans from 2016, better than any tailgate!)
Otherwise watch the Hibs fans sing Sunshine on Leith after the 2016 Scottish cup final, they hadn’t won the cup for 114 years. It was special.
